Romance RP

Matthew jumped to the first stone, following Anjela's movements.  He nodded at her and then waited for her to continue.

Alex nodded and gently holding onto Lycoris' arm, he led the way out of the kitchen and then to the hallway and then to the front door.  Soon, the couple was outside.  He said,

"Ok, we're outside.  So what's the surprise?"

Anjela nodded back to Matthew then continued jumping forward, one stone after the other. The river wasn't quite wide but they had to make careful movements or else they could fall. Anjela asked,

"How are you holding up?"

Lycoris smiled and said, "Be patient."

She broke away from Alex and after a deep breath, she started to summon a portal.

Matthew replied, "I'm ok.  I just follow your lead and I'm good.  The river doesn't seem to have a strong current so it should be ok."

Alex widened his eyes, getting an idea of where they might be going, and asked, "Do you have something particular in mind to do?"

Anjela nodded and replied, "Okay. We're almost there."

They continued jumping forward but just then, the water seemed to unsettle. It was like there was something moving violently underneath, coming close by fast.

Lycoris finished summoning the portal and nodding, she said, "Yes. You'll see. Are you coming? The portal is ready."

Matthew looked to Anjela and asked, "What do we do?  Should we get to the other side quickly?"

Alex nodded and replied, "Yes, I'm coming with you."

He held Lycoris' arm and walked with her through the portal.

Anjela frowned and nodding, she said, "Let's hurry. I don't know what could be under there."

She hurriedly jumped to the next stone but as the two of them proceeded, something appeared from underwater and a tentacle suddenly surrounded one of Matthew's legs to pull him into the water.

Lycoris followed Alex into the portal and the couple was teleported to the devils' world, a small distance away from the cave that had the generators. She smiled and said, "You can guess where we are, right?"

Matthew felt the tentacle on his leg and immediately, he got his fire sword and summoned its magic.  He then thrashed the sword at the tentacle, trying to chop the tentacle away from his leg.

Alex nodded and replied, "Yes, I know this place but why are we here exactly?"

He wondered if this Lycoris' intention was to destroy the generators.

The tentacle was chopped by Matthew's sword and fell into the water but immediately, another one surrounded his other leg, pulling him harder towards the water. Meanwhile, Anjela had seen the fight Matthew was having and shot multiple fireballs into the water, hoping to kill whatever was attacking him with his tentacles.

Lycoris continued smiling and said, "We agreed that I won't give up my powers anymore. So I want to destroy the generators to make sure I don't change my mind later. The voices are telling me that."

Matthew used his sword to attack the other tentacle that surrounded his other leg, doing his best to chop it off.  He knew that if he could get free, he'd have to immediately get across the river.

Alex nodded and replied, "I see but you do know that if you do this, there's no chance that the devils' world will be saved.  I mean, it is unfair to have that burden ever placed on you in the first place but still..."

The other tentacle was soon chopped off as well but yet afterwards, a couple more appeared, surrounding both of Matthew's legs at the same time. Anjela frowned and frustrated, she said,

"Matt, can you hold up for a bit? I'll go underwater and try to find whatever is attacking you."

Lycoris' smile faded and looking expressionless, she said, "So you think I should give up my life to save the devils' world? Because if I decide to do so, I die. Do you want me to die, Alex? Do you think I should do this for my dad, after everything he did to me?"

Matthew nodded and replied, "I'll do my best."

He used his sword, trying his best to hack at the tentacles surrounding his legs.

Alex immediately hugged Lycoris and replied, "Of course not, angel.  I mean, what your dad did is unforgivable but he wanted to save a world and that can't be a bad goal, right?"

(Sorry if I'm slow in posting.  Multi-tasking here.  ^^)

Anjela nodded and after throwing her bag to the other side, she took a deep breath then jumped into the water, disappearing underwater. The tentacles continued to attack Matthew, with a third one appearing and trying to attack him from behind.

Lycoris didn't return Alex's hug and just replied coldly, "But he was using me. He never thought of me as a daughter. He ignored my presence and treated me like I didn't even exist. Are you on his side too?"

Matthew gritted his teeth, continuing to whack at the tentacles with his sword and avoiding the one that was approaching his back.

Alex shook his head and replied, "Of course not, Lycoris.  I think your father was horrible to do what he did to you and I'm so sorry.  I'm on your side always.  I promise, my angel."

One of the tentacles was chopped by Matthew's sword, but the other two continued attacking him furiously. Meanwhile, there was more unsettling underwater, like there was a fight underneath, as it seemed like Anjela had found whatever was attacking Matthew and was fighting it.

Lycoris nodded although her eyes continued to look blank. She said, "Okay. Then let's go."

She walked in front of him, heading carefully into the cave where the generators were.

Matthew continued to fight his way, chopping and attacking the tentacles.  At the same time, he was worried about Anjela, wondering how she was doing.

Alex walked closely behind Lycoris and asked,

"I'm curious but how do you know exactly to walk to the generators?  I mean, because..."

He didn't want to be indelicate, pointing out that Lycoris was blind.

The tentacles were chopped by Matthew's sword but this time, no other tentacles appeared to attack him. Instead, there continued to be unsettling a little further into the water, then there was a bright light from underneath and more fighting. A few tentacles would appear but they wouldn't attack Matthew but instead, they seemed to be fighting one another.

Lycoris was silent for a moment then said, "You mean because I'm blind? It's okay. I may not be able to see them but I can feel them. There is still a tiny bit of magic in those generators. I can feel it and walk towards it. Ryan taught me how to do that so I could fight even without my eyesight."

Matthew looked towards the water and seeing he was free, he shouted,

"Anjela, are you ok?  I'm free.  Let's get out of here."

Alex nodded and replied, "I see.  That explains it.  So you can kind of walk around without my help?"

There was no response however, and the tentacles only continued to fight one another violently until one of them seemed to finally reach victory. A pool of blood was created surfaced on the water, and the fighting died down, with the tentacles soon disappearing.

Lycoris replied, "Hey, only here, because there is magic that can guide me. But I couldn't do that in town or anywhere else. If there is no magic or life in it, I can't feel it and I could pump into anything. You wouldn't let that happen?"

Matthew was worried as Anjela wasn't responding and he saw the pool of blood.  Without another thought, he jumped into the water, diving, hoping to find Anjela.

Alex replied, "Of course not.  I'll always watch and look out for you, Lycoris.  You know that I love you forever and I will protect you always."

Underwater, there was a monster with multiple tentacles-the one that had been attacking Matthew earlier, but it was already killed. Nearby, there was another monster of its kind but a bright light surrounded it and as it dissipated, it was none other than Anjela, who had shapeshifted to fight the monster. She was mostly alright but she was in pain, and there was an injury on one of her arms, making it difficult for her to swim back to the surface.

Lycoris smiled a bit and replied, "Of course."

They had soon walked into the caves and reached the generators.

Matthew saw and found Anjela and his arms reached out to her.  He saw her injury and grabbing her by the waist, he swam with her back to the surface.

Alex saw that they had reached the generators but he didn't say anything.  He knew that Lycoris wanted to destroy the generators but he wondered if that was what Lycoris really wanted.

Anjela swam with Matthew back to the surface and she took a deep breath as they made it upwards. She coughed a little water out and as she took her breaths, she looked to Matthew and said, 

"Thanks. I was able to kill it but it nearly broke one of my arms. It's still injured though."

Lycoris walked a few steps forward and there was dark magic starting to surround her body as she prepared to attack the generators and destroy them. There seemed to be no hesitation in her movements, although her eyebrows twitched a bit as though she was doubting herself, but she quickly got rid of that.

Matthew nodded and replied, "I'll take a look at your arm."

He gently examined Anjela's arm, making sure to be gentle with his touch.

Alex looked to Lycoris and quietly said,

"So you're really going to do this?"

Anjela winced a bit as Matthew examined her arm but she let him examine it thoroughly. Thankfully, it wasn't broken, but there were a few bad bruises here and there, as the monster had wrapped its tentacle around her arm violently and hit at it a few times.

Lycoris seemed to hesitate for a moment, but then frowning as she continued to strengthen her magic, she replied, 

"Yes. I have to do it. The voices are telling me to...It's what my dad deserves. He doesn't deserve to rest or have his wish fulfilled. If this is how I can take my revenge at him, I'll do it."

Matthew finished his examination and opening his medical bag, he took out some ointment and medication and treated Anjela's bruises.  After a few minutes, he was done patching her up and he said,

"There, that should help.  Of course, I could just use healing magic to make the bruises go away but I think it's best to let them heal naturally."

Alex replied, "I understand.  What your dad did is unforgivable but he did have a noble reason.  Well, it is too bad that the devils' world will die like this although I suppose there could be another way to save it.  No one's just bothered looking into other possibilities."

(I'm getting sleepy so I'm going to get off for the night now but I'll post again tomorrow.  Nite, nite, Love.  ^^)
