Romance RP

(I see. XD I'll get around to finish Monster Prom and Strikey Sisters then probably go for a longer VN too. XD)

Anjela nodded and replied, "That's how it went for me last time, unless something changed. This place is unpredictable."

They continued walking for a bit and they soon made it at a running river, which looked to have clear, clean water. Anjela said, 

"We'll have to cross this river but do you want to rest for a while?"

Lycoris smiled and replied, "It's a surprise. But I am sure you'll like it."

She reached out to touch Alex's hand, waiting for him to lead the way back to the house.

(Nice.  XD)

Matthew nodded and replied, "Sure, if it's ok.  A short break sounds good.  We should get as much rest as we can, so we can fight the monsters that are ahead of us."

Alex held onto Lycoris' hand and after helping her on her feet, he led the way back to the house.  Along the way, he asked,

"What do you feel like having for lunch?"

Anjela nodded and replied, "Yes, a short break would help. We need to restore our strength."

She led the way to a nearby tree and sat down under it, motioning for Matthew to take a seat next to her.

Lycoris looked thoughtful and replied, "Oh anything. It doesn't matter. Whatever you cook is nice."

Matthew happily took a seat next to Anjela and as the two of them rested, he asked,

"So what do you think?  How have I been doing so far?  Have I met your expectations in regards to my fighting abilities?"

Alex nodded and replied, "Ok then.  Would sandwiches be ok?  I can make us some chicken sandwiches and we can have glasses of milk to go along with them."

Anjela smiled and replied, 

"Nah, you've exceeded them. I have to apologize to you really. I underestimated you. Honestly, I thought you'd be that kind of guy who'd need protection all the time and that you'd be useful only if one of us got hurt but you proved me wrong. You're pretty strong. You didn't even need my help back with that monster."

Lycoris nodded happily and replied, "Sure, sounds great. I'd like that."

Matthew grinned and replied, "Heh, thanks and you don't need to apologize.  I understand.  I mean, no one would take me for a fighter."

Alex nodded and replied, "Ok then."

The couple made it back to the house and then to the kitchen.  Alex helped Lycoris into a chair and then he set about making lunch for the two of them."

Anjela chuckled a bit and replied, "Yeah. But as I said, it's good to have a sturdy partner, especially that the fights are harder than they used to be. I do hope you don't overshadow me though. I need to show you how strong I am too."

She said the last sentence light-heartedly.

Lycoris waited patiently as Alex made them lunch, staying quiet. Unlike her usual self when she could comment curiously on everything and talk fondly to Alex, she seemed quiet and she would seem to space out often.

Matthew chuckled and winking at her, he replied, "I can't wait to see what you can do, and I'm sure there will be some monsters where you'll be more at an advantage than I am."

As Alex made lunch, he looked at Lycoris and asked, "Hey, you ok?  You're awfully quiet."

Anjela smiled a bit confidently and replied, "I will definitely get that chance. I am still stronger than you, you know."

She gave him a slight teasing look, then smiling softly, she said, "I am glad you came along. Not just because you're strong support but I appreciate your company. You're reliable and a comfort to have around."

Lycoris looked up curiously and nodding, she said, "Oh I am fine. Just waiting for you to finish cooking. Don't want to distract you."

Matthew smiled back at Anjela and replied, "Thanks.  You are, too.  It's nice having you on this journey."

Alex nodded and replied, "Oh ok.  Well, I'm almost done."

He finished making the sandwiches soon after and poured glasses of milk.  He then placed everything on the table and said,

"I'm all done.  We can eat when you're ready."

(I have work this morning so I won't be able to post much.  ^^)

(I understand. ^^)

Anjela didn't say anything but smiled for a moment at Matthew before turning her gaze towards the running river. She said, 

"Are you thirsty? This river's water is clean."

Lycoris nodded happily and replied, "Well, let's eat."

She took a bite of her sandwich and nodding, she said, "Thanks, Alex. It's very nice."

(Thanks.  I'm going to get ready for work after I make this post but I might have time afterwards before I go out.  ^^)

Matthew nodded and replied, "A bit.  I'll go ahead and cup my hands in this water."

He walked over to the river and cupping both hands, he dipped them into the river and drank the water.

Alex smiled a bit and replied, "Thanks, Lycoris.  I'm glad you like it."

He ate his sandwich, looking thoughtful and quiet.

(Coolies. I'll make this post and turn in for the night myself but I will post again in the morning. ^^)

Anjela got up as well and followed Matthew to the river, cupping her hands as well and drinking the water. She also used a little of the water to wash her face, feeling the cool water on her skin.

Lycoris ate her sandwich as well and although her behavior might have looked normal, her demeanor and looks were definitely changed. Observing Alex's quiet, she said,

"You're the one being quiet now."

(Ok.  ^^)

As Matthew continued to drink the water, he said,

"You're right.  This water is clean and very fresh."

Alex smiled apologetically at Lycoris and replied, "Sorry about that.  I still can't help but worry about you.  Are you sure you're ok?"

Anjela smiled a bit and nodding, she said, "Yeah. It's a good refreshment. Rivers like this one are common so we don't have to worry about getting clean water."

Lycoris nodded and replied, "Yes, I am fine. Don't worry about me. I told you-I am actually feeling better than before. Relax."

Matthew smiled back and replied, "That's good to know.  This world is amazing and dangerous at the same time."

Alex replied, "Ok, if you say so."

He continued to eat his lunch although he wasn't in the mood much for conversation.

(Giving a heads up but I don't know how much I'll be able to post physically today.  I didn't get much sleep last night because of an argument.  You can probably guess with who, and I'm not feeling well on top of it, so yeah.  :/)

(Aww I understand. I hope you feel better soon and if you want to talk anytime, I am always here. )

Anjela looked thoughtful and nodding, she said, "Well, it's a very bizarre place, yes. You wouldn't see any of the creatures here in any world."

She finished drinking and washing up, feeling refreshed.

Lycoris observed that Alex continued to be quiet but she didn't seem to mind much, unlike her nature. She continued eating her sandwich, soon finishing up.

Matthew nodded and replied, "Heh, that's true."

He finished drinking some water and wiping his mouth with the back of his sleeve, he said,

"Ahh, all better."

Alex finished up his lunch, drinking the last of his milk.  He looked to Lycoris and asked,

"Are you full?  If so, I'll start cleaning up."

(Just responded. I hope all goes well soon.  )

Anjela smiled a bit and said, "Well, that was a good break. Do you want to rest some more or should we get going? We can take a break again later to have something to eat."

Lycoris was soon all done and nodding, she said, "Yup, all finished. Thanks. It was very delicious."

Matthew replied, "For now, let's get going.  As you said, we can rest again later to eat."

He got up, ready to continue their journey.

Alex smiled a bit and replied, "Thanks.  I'm glad you liked it.  I'll take care of the clean up then."

He took the dishes and glasses and put them in the sink, washing them.

(Ok. ^^)

Anjela nodded and replied, "Okay."

She got up as well and after they brought their bags, she looked at the river and said, "We have to cross it to continue going forward. I remember there were stones somewhere that we could jump on to reach to the other side. Now where were they...?"

She looked around, hoping to find the stepping stones on the river.

Lycoris waited as Alex took care of the cleanup, and smirking a bit, she asked,

"Are you curious to know where we are heading?"

(Thanks.  I got your reply and well, long story short but it seems like I broke him, even though he did eventually come to my point of view.  And yeah, we agreed on no more Steam.  I really just don't want to make the mistakes he's made, so we're going to communicate on Skype from now.  At least it's free and if he doesn't like his account, I won't be forced to lose money to make a new one.)

Matthew looked around for the stones as well and asked,

"How big are they?  Are they the only way we can cross the river?"

Alex nodded and replied, "Well, I am curious, I won't deny that."

(This will be my last post for the night but I'll post again in the morning before I go out and all.  Nite, nite, Love, and thanks for hearing me out earlier.  ^^)

Anjela replied, "Yeah, it's the only way I know of. They must be here nearby. Ahh here they are."

She pointed to stepping stones that made it across the rivers. The stones were medium-sized, enough for one person to stand on it at a time. They were somewhat apart, however, so it would require a bit of jumping to get from one stone to another.

Lycoris smirked a bit more and replied, "Okay. Well, finish cleaning so we can get going."

Matthew observed the stones and said,

"Ahh ok.  So I know you've done this before.  Why don't you take the lead and I'll follow behind?  How's that?"

Alex nodded and replied, "Ok."

He finished washing the dishes and such and soon was done.  He wiped his hands on a washcloth and turning to Lycoris, he said,

"I'm all done.  We can get going whenever you're ready."

Anjela nodded and replied, "Alright. Follow closely behind and let me know if you want any help."

They walked over to where the stones were and carefully, Anjela made a small jump to the first stone, then to the second. She then turned to Matthew, waiting for him to jump on the first stone to make sure he was doing alright.

Lycoris nodded and got up. She said, "Just lead the way to outside and I'll take it from there."
