William smiled happily to Stacey and returning the hug, he replied,

"Good morning, pretty. Yup, I slept pretty well. How about you?"

Lisianthus nodded to Alex and replied, "Thanks, Alex. We really appreciate all the help and I promise we'll try to get his over as soon as possible."

Nerine got up and noticing that it was about lunchtime, she said,

"I'll go prepare us some lunch. Excuse me."

She went to the kitchen to prepare the lunch for everyone.

Stacey nodded happily and replied, "I definitely did but how could I not with my handsome knight to protect me always?"

She gave William a quick kiss and then said,

"The bathroom's free now so you can get ready whenever you want while I go make us breakfast."

After Nerine went to the kitchen to start lunch, Alex said, "I should go pack a bag for myself as well. I'll be back soon."

He then went upstairs to his and Nerine's room to start packing.

William nodded and replied, "Alright, pretty. I'll see you in the kitchen."

He got his change and then went to the bathroom to get ready for the day.

As Alex left them alone, Lisianthus took the time to look around the house and recall some memories. Smiling, she commented,

"You know, despite the situation, it still makes me happy to be here. It reminds me of all the happy moments I had here."

Stacey went to the kitchen to begin cooking breakfast for William and herself. She decided to make waffles this morning with fresh slices of strawberries on top, thinking that it would make a delicious breakfast. After taking out the ingredients, she began mixing the batter.

Ryan smiled and replied, "Devenshire was the first town you visited in the human world, right? It's been a long time since I've been back as well and it's as beautiful as ever. I wish we had time so I could give you a personal tour but business first, I suppose."

William took a quick shower then changed into a blue t-shirt and a pair of dark blue jeans. He combed his hair and brushed his teeth then once he was ready, he went out of the bathroom and put away his old clothes.

He headed towards the kitchen where Stacey was and smiling, he watched her as she prepared breakfast.

Lisianthus nodded and replied, "Yup, that's true. Once everything is over here, maybe we can stay around a little to recall our memories and have fun. I like Devenshire, too. It's where most of my good times are and where my friends and family are, too."

As Stacey poured the waffle batter into the waffle iron, she saw William enter the kitchen and returning his smile, she said,

"You look very handsome this morning. I'm making waffles. I hope you have a big appetite."

Ryan replied, "That sounds good. I can show you where I used to live and maybe some places you hadn't seen last time you were here."

Alex returned to the living room and taking a seat, he said,

"I'm all packed."

William chuckled lightly and replying, he said,

"I always have a big appetite whenever I see or smell your food, pretty. Makes me automatically hungry."

Lisianthus turned to Alex as he returned and replied,

"That's good. Once we have lunch, we should head on to the portal and get this done as quickly as possible."

Stacey giggled happily and replied,

"I'm happy to hear that, handsome."

The waffles were soon done cooking and Stacey plated them onto two plates and carefully places thin slices of strawberries on top. Then she placed the plates on the table along with utensils, a pitcher of maple syrup, and utensils. Then she said,

"It's all ready."

Alex nodded and replied, "Agreed." Then he looked kindly at Lisianthus and said,

"Thank you for warning us, Sia. I don't know what we would have done otherwise."

William helped Stacey take her seat and then sat across from her. Once they were all seated, he took his fork and took a bite of his waffles. Smiling, he said,

"Great as always."

Lisianthus smiled back at Alex and replied,

"Don't mention it, Alex. Nerine is my cousin and it's my duty to protect her and I couldn't have known that you two were in danger and not do anything about it. Of course, I wouldn't have done it without Ryan's help too."

She looked happily at Ryan.

Stacey smiled and replied,

"I'm glad to hear that."

She took her fork and knife and began to eat her waffles happily as well.

Ryan smiled back at Lisianthus and reached out to touch her hands. Alex noticed the exchange between the two and inside, it made him feel a little sad although he knew that there was no way that he and Lisianthus could be together anymore.

Getting up, Alex said, "I'll go check on my darling to see how lunch is coming along." He then went to the kitchen to check up on Nerine.

As William and Stacey began to eat happily, he looked up to her and said,

"I might come late for dinner tonight. I'd like to go to that tavern that Steven wanted to see me in. I want to get to the bottom of the whole thing."

Meanwhile, Nerine was just finishing up lunch and putting the last touches. Seeing Alex enter the kitchen, she smiled to him and said,

"Hey, my lord. Are you done packing? I am all done with lunch here."

Stacey nodded but looking concerned, she replied,

"Are you sure, handsome? Please be careful, ok?"

Alex nodded and returning the smile, he replied,

"Yup, I am. My bag's all packed and ready to go. I came to see how lunch was going and if you needed any help but it looks like you have things handled here."

William nodded and smiling, he replied,

"Don't worry, pretty. I'll be fine. You are staying at the hut today, right?"

Nerine nodded and replied, "Yup, I am all done. Let me call Sia and Ryan and then we can have lunch all together."

She left the kitchen and went to the living room where Lisianthus and Ryan were. She said,

"Hey, you two. Lunch is all ready. Come on."

Stacey nodded and replied,

"Yup, that's right. I'm going to take care of some chores today. I'll make sure to keep dinner warm for you. Don't be out too late, ok? That would only make me miss you more."

Ryan turned to Nerine and replied, "Thanks. We'll be right there."

He got up and then offering an arm, he said,

"Come, beautiful. We should eat."

William nodded and replied, "I won't be since I'll miss you a lot too. Don't wait for me at dinner, ok? You eat and when I come back, I'll have something, too."

He finished up his breakfast and then got up to wash his plate and utensils and put them on the drying rack.

Lisianthus happily held Ryan's arm and said, "Lead the way, cutie."

Meanwhile, Nerine had returned to the kitchen where Alex was to wait for Ryan and Lisianthus.

Stacey nodded and replied, "Ok, handsome."

She finished her breakfast soon after and she got up to take her plate, utensils, and glass to the sink to wash them and put them on the drying rack.

After she was done, she approached William and said, "You have a good day at work and be careful, ok? I'll be counting the hours until you return home."

Ryan led the way to the kitchen where Nerine and Alex were seated and the food was laid out beautifully on the table. He helped Lisianthus into an empty seat and then he took a seat next to her.

He turned to Nerine and said, "Lunch looks delicious, Nerine."

William nodded and replied, "I'll return home as soon as I can, pretty."

He gave her a hug then a sweet kiss, before leaving her and going out of the hut, heading towards the construction site.

Nerine smiled to Ryan and replied, "Thanks, Ryan. I hope you enjoy it. Please begin to eat, everyone."

Lisianthus took her fork and taking a bite of her food, she said,

"Yum, this is delicious, Nerine. It's improved than last time I've tasted it, too."

Meanwhile, Lord Connelly and Bill had opened the construction site for the day and the first group of workers had arrived, including Mark. Steven had arrived as well, riding on his horse alone. Everyone got their tools and went to their places to begin work.

Ryan took his fork and took a bite of his food as well. He commented,

"It's quite delicious, Nerine."

Alex said, "My darling's cooking just keeps getting better and better, doesn't it?"

William soon arrived at the construction site and went to the storage shed to get his tools. He saw Mark already there and smiling to him, he said,

"Hey, Mark. Good morning."

Nerine blushed and replied, "Aww thanks, my lord."

Lisianthus nodded happily and teasingly replied, "It definitely does although I still think I can cook as good or better!"

Mark returned the smile and replied,

"Good morning, mate. I see that you're up and about early this morning."

Ryan chuckled and replied, "I must admit that I have a preference to Sia's cooking but Nerine's is pretty good."

William nodded and replied, "Indeed. I feel up to finish lots of work today."

He got his tools from the shed and then led the way towards the workplace.

Nerine pouted cutely and replied, "Aww alright. At least you like my food, Ryan. I don't think I can make it to Sia's cooking anyways."

She giggled a little and continued eating her food, as did Lisianthus.

Mark replied, "I feel the same, mate. Let's get to work then, shall we?"

He held up a couple of wood planks and waited for William to begin hammering them in place.

Ryan chuckled and replied, "It's pretty difficult to live up to Sia's standards. She sets the bar up pretty high."

Alex added, "That's true but I do love my darling's cooking."

The two men continued to eat happily.

William got his hammer and began to work with Mark, hammering the planks he put for him, working carefully but hard and fast in the same time.

Nerine blushed happily and replied, "Aww thanks, my lord. I am glad that I make you happy always."

The party continued to eat for a while and eventually, Lisianthus and Nerine were done with their food as well as drinking their juice.

Mark continued to work hard with William, making good progress as the morning hours went along. He commented,

"The wedding plans are going well. I picked out a suit and my fiancee finally settled on a wedding dress."

Alex and Ryan finished their lunch as well and after everyone was done, Alex turned to Nerine and said,

"I'll go help you clean up and then we can get going."

William nodded to Mark and smiling, he replied,

"That's great. I am really happy for you two. I am happy things are going along pretty smoothly."

Nerine nodded and replied, "All right, my lord."

Lisianthus got up and replied, "Nah, it's alright. I'll help Nerine. It's the least I can do after this delicious lunch."
