Greg replied, "All right, honey. I'll lead the way."

He held Rosalind's arm and led her out of the bank and back outside, heading towards the store.

Bryan replied, "And I love being with you. There's nothing more I would ask. Everything is absolutely wonderful and perfect."

He was thinking a bit on where they should go to have lunch. He then had an idea. Turning to Rosaline, he asked, "Ahh how would you like Chinese food for lunch?"

Rosalind quietly followed Greg out of the bank.

Rosaline raised an eyebrow and replied, "Umm I never tasted it before. How does it taste?"

As Greg and Rosalind were walking towards their future store, Greg thought about what the teller had told him about Edward adding a lot of money to his account. He turned to Rosalind and said, "I was surprised when the teller told me that Sir Carnahan had added all that money to my account. I hadn't expected such a generous gesture from him or let alone anyone. The money will definitely be able to support us for quite some time."

Bryan looked thoughtful and replied, "Ahh well, Chinese food is usually either salty or spicy. It has an exotic, unique flavor to it but it's very good. We could have fried rice or lo mein or some spicy beef, or sweet and sour chicken. And I love how Chinese restaurants give those fortune cookies out at the end of the meal."

Rosalind smiled and replied, "They must be quite kind and nice to do that then. Plus, I am sure they are grateful for your service to them all those years."

Rosaline replied, "Ahh is that so? Well, in this case, I suppose that would be great. I'd like to taste this kind of food."

Greg replied, "Yup. I did work hard for them for several years so I suppose they wanted to repay me. I sure hope that you can meet them someday. They're really nice people."

Greg continued to walk, leading Rosalind to the store. There were some people outside going about their daily business although it wasn't too crowded.

Bryan replied, "Ahh great. Let's rest here for a little while longer and then we can go find a Chinese restaurant."

He leaned back against the tree, enjoying Rosaline's company.

Rosalind replied, "Umm I hope so, too."

Inside her, she knew who were those Carnahans really are and whom parents they were, which wasn't too pleasant for her.

Greg took a glance at Rosalind, who looked like she was a bit sad about something. He looked over at her with concern and asked,

"Is anything wrong, honey?"

Back in the carriage, Alex was continuing to enjoy Nerine's and Lisianthus' company. After some time passed, the carriage stopped. Alex looked out the window and noticed that his parents' carriage stopped, too. Alex called out,

"Ahh Dad, Mom, why did we stop?"

Edward got out of his carriage and helped Eleanor out. He replied, "It's almost lunchtime and seeing that there was an inn nearby which has a restaurant, I thought we should stop here. We can take a rest and have some lunch before we continue."

Alex replied, "Ahh I see. That sounds good." Turning to Nerine and Lisianthus, Alex said, "Looks like we can get out of the carriage for a while. It'll be good to stretch ourselves a bit."

Rosalind quickly smiled and shook her head, replying, "Oh no, sweetie. Everything is fine."

Nerine and Sia nodded and Sia replied, "Sounds nice to me. We can have a little lunch and stretch up."

Greg thought that something was still bothering Rosalind but he didn't want to push the matter. So he nodded and replied, "Oh ok, honey. But you know that I still think you're number one and no one can ever replace you in my heart."

He walked on and soon they reached the front entrance of the store. He continued, "I sure hope the shop owner is here."

Alex nodded and replied, "Yup and I am getting a little hungry."

He then opened the carriage door and got out of the carriage first. Then he helped Nerine and Sia out as well. As Edward and Eleanor were already out of their carriage, they simply waited for the others. Once everyone was out, Edward turned to the group and said, "Let's go inside and check out the restaurant here. The carriage drivers are going to rest the horses and themselves."

Alex replied, "That sounds good, Dad. Please lead the way."

Edward nodded and held Eleanor's arm and led her inside. Alex then held Nerine's and Lisianthus' arms and said to them, "Shall I escort my beautiful ladies inside?"

Rosalind replied, "Hopefully, she is. Let us just enter and we will see what happens."

Nerine quietly held Alex's arm while Lisianthus happily held his other, replying, "A pleasure!"

Greg nodded and replied, "All right."

He then led Rosalind inside the store and looked around to see if anyone was inside. He saw someone entering from the storage room and indeed, it was the elderly lady whom they had chatted with before. The lady saw Rosalind and Greg and walked up to them, saying,

"Welcome back, you two. It's such a pleasure to see you both again."

Alex then led Nerine and Lisianthus inside, following Edward and Eleanor. They walked in the building and soon found the restaurant. They all looked around and fortunately, the restaurant wasn't too crowded. So Edward asked for a large table for five people and the host led them to such a table. Then he handed them menus and then left the party. Edward seated Eleanor and then Alex seated Nerine and Lisianthus and then seated himself.

Edward opened the menu and said, "You all order whatever you like today, ok? Lunch is totally on me."

(Ok, I'm going to get off for the night and get some sleep since I'm starting to get a bit sleepy and all. I'll see you tomorrow, Love. Nite, nite. ^^)

(Ahh ok. Nite, nite, phoenix. ^^)

Rosalind bowed politely to the lady and replied, "A pleasure to see you, too, ma'am. I hope we are not disturbing you from any work."

The lady shook her head and replied, "Ahh no, I wasn't busy. Have you two come by and decided about the shop?"

Greg nodded and replied, "Yes, we have, ma'am. We'd like to make a down payment for your store and then we can figure out how to make the rest of the payment arrangements."

The lady replied, "Ahh I see. Please have a seat, you two, and I'll go prepare some tea for us. Then we can have a discussion about payments while drinking it."

She then went to the backroom to prepare some tea while Greg helped Rosalind into a seat nearby.

Alex opened up his menu and looked at the contents. From the looks of it, this restaurant served a lot of sandwiches, hamburgers, and salads. Alex said, "The selection is good here, and I surely haven't had a cheeseburger in a while. What would you like, darling?"

He looked at both Nerine and Lisianthus to see what they wanted to have for lunch.

While the lady was preparing some tea for all of them, Rosalind whispered to Greg, "I am glad we could find her. Now I hope everything goes well."

Nerine looked at the menu and replied, "Ahh hot dogs look fine to me here."

Sia nodded as well, "Same for me here."

Greg replied, "Same here, honey."

After a few minutes, the lady returned carrying a tea set in front of her. She placed it on the table where Rosalind and Greg sat and then served teat to the both of them. After she was done, the lady said,

"So may I see how much money you have brought for the down payment?"

Greg replied, "Here you are, ma'am." He handed the lady the money that he had withdrawn from the bank earlier. The lady took a glance at it and replied,

"This looks good for a down payment. Now let's figure out how you two want to make the rest of the payment. Perhaps we could make monthly arrangements. At the end of the month, you can pay a little amount of money and continue doing so until the store is all paid up. How does that sound?"

Alex replied, "Ahh all right."

Edward added, "Ok then. How about you, dear?"

He looked over at Eleanor and she replied, "Hmm I'd like a salad."

Edward replied, "All right. I'll have a cheeseburger. Would anyone like anything to drink?"

Alex replied, "Just some lemonade for me, please."

Eleanor added, "Same here. Lemonade sounds good."

It sounded good to Rosalind, but then the decision was up to Greg. She looked at him and wondered what does he think although she thought it was a pretty good idea.

Nerine replied, "Ahh some orange juice for me would be very enough, please."

Lisianthus replied, "Apple juice would be fine for me."

Greg replied, "I think that is a good arrangements. We can surely make payments at the end of the month. But what do you think, honey?"

He looked over at Rosalind for her opinion.

Edward replied, "Ahh ok. I'll go get our waiter then."

He raised his hand and soon a waiter came to their table. Edward took the liberty of telling him everyone's orders, which the waiter jotted down. Then he left to go to the kitchen and then Eleanor turned to Nerine and Lisianthus asking,

"How are you enjoying the ride so far?"

Rosalind replied, "It sounds pretty good to me. We can pay little by little until we get the whole amount."

Nerine replied, "Ahh it's pretty peaceful and beautiful, mum. Everything is going smoothly so far."

Lisianthus nodded happily and replied, "Yup. And I had fun chatting with both Alex and Nerine along the way."

The lady smiled and replied, "Ahh very good then. I'll draw up the papers so that the arrangements are official after we finish our tea."

Greg replied, "That sounds good, ma'am."

Eleanor replied, "I'm glad that you two are having fun. Edward and I have been enjoying the ride here, too. It's been a long time since the both of us have traveled away from Devenshire. I love the view here. The pasture is beautiful and perhaps after lunch, we can all take a short walk outside before hitting the road again."

Rosalind nodded and replied, "Sounds great to me as well."

Nerine replied, "Sounds nice to me. It will be a nice opportunity to stretch ourselves a little."

The lady nodded and quietly sipped her tea. The tea was quite fragrant-the smell was that of jasmine and the taste was savory. Greg sipped his tea and said,

"This is good tea, ma'am."

The lady replied, "Thanks, young man. There's a great market near here where they sell some excellent varieties of tea. I keep some on hand for special guests."

Eleanor replied, "Definitely."

The waiter came back and placed drinks for everyone on the table. He told everyone that the food would be ready soon and then left again.

Then Eleanor turned to Nerine and asked, "Are you looking forward to going back to Lessire, Nerine? You must miss it greatly."

Rosalind smiled and replied, "Thanks, ma'am. I am sure glad we could be able to deal with such a kind lady."

Nerine nodded and replied, "Yup, I sure do. It's been a long while and I miss my home already."

The lady smiled and replied, "Aww thanks, miss. But you two are really doing me the favor here. I'll be glad to retire and enjoy the rest of my life visiting family and doing other things that I couldn't do before."

She sipped the rest of her tea and then said, "You two continue enjoying your tea and please feel free to have some more. I'll go write up those papers and be back soon."

She then got up and went to write up the arrangements for payment, leaving Rosalind and Greg alone.

Eleanor nodded in understanding and replied, "I understand, dear. It'll be nice to be in familiar surroundings again, I think."

The waiter returned with everyone's food orders and placed them on the table. Then he asked, "Would anyone like anything else?"

Edward shook his head and replied, "Nope, we're all good here."

The waiter replied, "All right then. After all of you are finished, please go to the front to pay."

He then bowed and left the table. Edward then turned to everyone and said, "Go ahead and eat up. You all must be starving."

Nerine shyly nodded and took a small bite out of her hot dog. She replied,

"Yum. It sure tastes good."

Alex took a bite of his cheeseburger and replied, "Yum, this is delicious as well." He happily ate some more while Edward began to eat his cheeseburger.

Eleanor ate some of her salad and then looked over to Lisianthus and asked, "How's your food, dear?"
