Bryan replied, "Ok, I understand. Tell you what, though. I am a little hungry so I'm going to order some food for myself. In the meantime, why don't you write a note to Rosalind to let her know that you'll be here for the night? That way, she doesn't worry and all."

Alex smiled and replied, "It's ok, my darling. I suppose we all have to make the best of the situation as it is."

Seeing where the moon was positioned in relation to the stars, he realized that it was getting late. Most of the buildings had their lights turned off now so it looked like a lot of people had gone to bed.

Turning back to Lycoris, Alex asked, "Are you getting tired, my darling? Of course, we could continue to stay out here and gaze at the moon and enjoy one another's company."

Rosaline replied, "Ummm ok. Lend me a paper and a pen, though and I will write it."

Lycoris replied, "Well, I still have some energy to stay out but if you are tired, we can go to bed if you want."

Bryan nodded and got up to the table to grab a notepad and a pen. With the items in his hands, he returned to the bed and gave them to Rosaline.

"Here you are, my love. I'll go ask for the menu while you write the note."

He then rang the bell for the maid.

Alex shook his head and replied, "Nah, I can still stay up as well. This is all for the birthday lady so today is whatever you want it to be."

Rosaline nodded and took the pen and paper from Bryan. She then began to write the note for Rosalind telling her that she will stay over at Bryan's and not to worry about her.

Lycoris smiled and replied, "Great then! Tell you what, why don't we sit down under this tree and gaze at the beautiful stars?"

She pointed at a beautiful tree.

There was a knock on the door and Bryan got up to answer it. It was the maid on the other side so Bryan asked for the dinner menu. The maid left but soon returned with the menu. Bryan thanked her and then the maid left.

Then he returned to Rosaline's side and opened the menu, wondering what was good to eat tonight.

Alex smiled and nodded. "That sounds perfect, my darling. Allow me to escort you to the tree."

He gently held Lycoris' arm and walked towards the beautiful tree.

Rosaline soon finished writing the note and cut the paper gently out of the notepad.

"I am done writing the note."

Bryan nodded and replied, "Ahh good. Let me get an envelope so you can put the note in it."

He got up to the table and soon found a small envelope for Rosaline to put the note in. He then returned to her side and said,

"Here's an envelope. Just put the note in and address it to Rosalind at her home and I'll make sure that the maid delivers it."

Once they were at the tree, Alex helped Lycoris into a comfortable sitting position and then seated himself. After they were comfortable, he looked up at the stars and said,

"Wow, there are so many beautiful stars up there tonight."

Rosaline nodded and wrote down the address of Rosalind's house as well as her name. She then said, "Done as well."

Lycoris nodded and replied, "Yup, yup. They are all so beautiful. I wonder, how many stars are there?"

Bryan took the envelope from Rosaline and made sure that it was sealed. After doing so, he said, "I'll make sure to give this to the maid once I've decided what I want to eat. I wonder what looks good here. Perhaps my love can decide for me."

Alex looked up into the sky and replied, "Hmm I wonder the same. Let's see."

He pointed his finger to the sky and began to count the number of stars.

Rosaline replied, "Hmmm well, I don't really know what kind of food do you like so I am not sure if I can help you."

Lycoris said, "Ooh? Are you going to count them all? They are too much."

Bryan smiled and replied, "Aww, all right. I'll take a look myself then."

He scanned at the menu and then found a dish which looked pleasing. It was a roasted chicken with a small garden salad and a couple of buttermilk biscuits. For dessert, there was a large slice of apple pie.

"Ok, I've decided. I'll go call the maid now and tell her about the note."

Bryan rang the bell and soon the maid entered. He approached her and told her what he wanted to order. The maid nodded and jotted down the order. Then he told her about Rosaline's note and to make sure that it was delivered immediately to Rosalind's house. The maid nodded and then after replying that she would come back when the food was ready, she left the room.

Then Bryan returned to Rosaline's side and hugged her gently.

"I'm sorry if I'm being too romantic but I love holding you next to me."

Alex chuckled and looked at Lycoris. "I do admit that there are a lot of stars but yes, I'm going to try to count them all."

He continued to point at them and tried to count as many as possible.

Rosaline laughed a bit and replied, "Awww it's alright. I don't mind you treating me romantically. I love it actually."

Bryan gave a sly smile and holding Rosaline in his arms, he replied, "Oh really? I'll remember that then. Hmm, tell me, my love. Do you like chocolates? They're the dessert of love, you know."

Alex turned back to Lycoris and asked, "How many stars can you count, darling?"

Rosaline replied, "Yup, I like them. I don't eat too much of them, though as I don't really have a sweet tooth or maybe I am used to eating what's worse."

Lycoris replied, "Ummm I counted until 71 but then I lost the track."

Bryan nodded and replied, "Ahh I see. I'm the same as well. I like sweets but not too much. Now Alex is a completely different story."

He chuckled and then was about to go on when there was a knock on the door. The maid returned with dinner for Bryan. He thanked her and then the maid left.

After closing the door behind him, Bryan moved the dinner tray next to the bed and then sat again next to Rosaline.

"Ahh looks like dinner is ready and it sure looks good."

A bellhop from the inn had ran outside to deliver Rosaline's note. He found Rosalind's house easily enough and then knocked on the door.

Alex replied, "Ahh I see. There really are a lot of stars tonight. You know, they say that the further a star is, the smaller it is."

Rosaline saw the food come as well so she said, "Well, it sure looks delicious. I'll let you enjoy your meal then."

Rosalind was still in the living room with Greg and Serena after having talked to Celia. She heard the knock on the door and got up.

"Ahh I'll go and answer it."

She went to the door and opened it.

Lycoris nodded and replied, "Yup, yup. But I love stars. They are so beautiful."

Bryan replied, "Thanks, my love. We can talk while I'm eating and if you're hungry, let me know. I'd be more than happy to share."

He then began to eat dinner, which was cooked perfectly.

The bellhop saw the door open and then a young lady at the other side. He looked at her and asked,

"Hello, miss. Are you Miss Rosalind? I have a note for you."

Alex replied, "I agree that the stars are so beautiful, especially tonight. But you know, you are more beautiful than all those stars combined."

Rosaline shook her head and replied, "Nope, I am ok."

She paused for a second then asked, "Ummm would you mind if I enter the bathroom for a minute?"

Rosalind nodded and replied, "Yes, I am Rosalind. Who is the note from?"

Bryan nodded and replied, "Sure, that would be fine, my love. But hurry back soon, ok?"

The bellhop replied, "The note is from a Miss Rosaline. She's Sir Bryan's guest at the Tavern of Arms. I was instructed to deliver this note to you right away."

He handed the note over to Rosalind.

Rosaline nodded a bit hesitatingly and then got up and walked to the bathroom. She opened the door to it but before she enters, she glanced at Bryan for a moment then entered, closing the door behind her.

Forgive me, Bryan, please do.

She checked around the bathroom, searching for the window. Soon enough, she found a small window yet big enough for her to climb out. She found some items strong enough so that she stands on without falling or breaking them. Moving them under the window, she stood on them and as she was tall herself, she could get to the window and climb out of it. Pretty quickly, but silently she soon was out of there.

(I know. )

Rosalind took the envelope from the bellhop and smiling, she replied,

"I see. Thanks a lot for getting this for me then, sir."

(lol)

Bryan was quietly eating dinner, waiting for Rosaline to get back from the bathroom. He hoped that he had shown her, proven to her in some way how much he loved her and would never leave her. Unaware that Rosaline had secretly left, Bryan continued to eat.

The bellhop bowed to Rosalind and replied, "You're quite welcome, miss. I'll be returning to the inn now."

He then started the walk back to the inn.

After Rosaline had gone out of the inn, she checked around to see where she was. It was quite cold and the evening was there, but Rosaline felt more guilty than she felt cold.

I am sorry, Bryan. Please forgive me. I have no time left. It's almost the end.

She weakly and slowly began jogging, her destination being the graveyard.

After the bellhop had left, Rosalind closed the door and returned to Serena and Greg.

"Ahh I am back and I have a note from Rosaline."

(Sorry it took me a while to get back tonight. My anti-viral scan took way too long. Anyway, I'll make a few posts before going to sleep. )

Bryan had almost finished eating dinner when he realized that Rosaline was taking an awfully long time in the bathroom. He then decided to get up and walk towards the bathroom door. Knocking on it, he asked,

"Rosaline, is everything ok?"

Greg looked up and replied, "Ahh I see. What does the note say, honey?"

(Ahh it's ok. I admit I got worried though. lol)

Rosalind opened the note and took a quick look on it. She then replied to Greg,

"Uhh it looks like Rosaline decided to stay with Bryan in the inn for tonight. She said that she is a bit tired and would like to stay with Bryan."

Seeing as how there was no response on the other side of the door, Bryan decided to open the door but slowly in case Rosaline was still in there. He opened the door ever so slowly and then opened it wider. Then he opened it all the way and realized then that Rosaline was no longer in the bathroom. Immediately, Bryan panicked.

Where could she be?

He then noticed the open window and realized that Rosaline must have escaped there. Without further thought, Bryan grabbed his coat and ran out of the inn to search for Rosaline.

Serena replied, "Ahh I see. Hmm, what should we do? Would it be too late if I came over to the inn to see Rosaline? I'd like to at least find out what kind of illness she may have."
