Nerine was confused at first why would Alex think something is wrong with her. But as she looked at her hair, she screamed.

"W-What happened to my hair!? It's pink!"

Alex tried his best to comfort Nerine.

"Yes, I noticed it and wondered if you were all right. I hope you're not coming down with something although personally, I love that your hair is pink. It's so beautiful and so rare to see a woman with radiant pink hair."

(Hmm, I wonder how the pink hair will be explained. lol)

(lol It's of the legend effects. Nerine will explain that later when she knows it herself. lol)

Although Nerine liked Alex's compliment, she wasn't really comfortable with a pink hair.

"But...I liked my other hair. What happened to the blue color? I didn't dye my hair."

(I have a pic of Nerine's pink hair, btw. ^^)

(lol Ok. And I'd like to see a pic of Nerine with pink hair. ^^)

Alex replied, "I don't think the new look is so bad. I don't know what caused your hair color to change but maybe it's just a temporary condition and it'll go away soon. But I wouldn't worry too much about this, all right? We have a big day ahead of us, you know. We have to get dressed, go downstairs and have breakfast with Bryan, and then go see my parents. I believe my mother said that she wanted you to drop by for a wedding dress?"

Nerine calmed down a bit and replied, "Yeah. But how am I going to see them like that? I am sure they would be surprised. Yesterday with blue hair, today with a pink hair. I would be surprised myself."

Alex replied, "Hmm, yeah, that is a bit of a problem. I suppose you could wear a hat to cover up your head. I could ask Bryan if he has a ladies hat available. Or perhaps we can make some excuse to my parents, something like your people have this ability to change hair color? But to me, it doesn't matter what color your hair is. All I need is your love and I know that we can overcome anything that stands in our way. I love what is inside you, your heart and spirit."

Nerine blushed and replied, "Um, yeah. I guess we will use the excuse then. I just hope your parents don't know much about the devils? I wouldn't want to lie to them, really."

Alex replied, "Nah, I don't think they do. Our family hasn't really traveled too much outside of Devenshire. I'm one of the few who have.

So shall we get dressed and go have breakfast? I'm not sure if Bryan is awake yet. He likes to sleep in late in the morning since he stays up late at night and all."

Nerine nodded and replied, "Alright then. I'll go change and be right back."

She got up from the bed and took her clothes back from the wardrobe. Once done, she entered the bathroom to get changed. She got washed up then dressed in her clothes. She brushed her 'new' hair and soon got out.

"Ok, I am done. You can use the bathroom now."

Alex replied, "Thanks, darling. I'll be done quickly."

Alex took his clothes out from the closet and entered the bathroom, closing the door behind him. He washed up his face and then changed into his clothes. Afterwards, he combed his hair neatly. Once he was all done, he came out of the bathroom with the pajamas in his hands and placed them on the bed.

"I'm all done. So shall we go downstairs and have breakfast together?"

Nerine nodded and held to Alex's arm gently. "Yup. Let's go. I wonder if Bryan is awake, though."

Alex replied, "Hmm I have no idea. But unless his habits have changed a lot, he might still be sleeping in. But I guess we'll find out soon."

Alex took Nerine's arm and escorted her downstairs and to the dining room. It was empty, for Bryan hadn't arrived yet. However, Alex could hear sounds coming from the kitchen so it did sound like breakfast was being prepared. A maid came out from the kitchen and noticed Alex and Nerine.

"Good morning, sir, miss. The master isn't awake yet. But the two of you are more than welcome to sit down and have breakfast. He certainly wouldn't mind at all."

The maid returned to the kitchen.

Alex held out a chair for Nerine to sit and then sat in a chair next to her.

"Well, I guess that answers our question about Bryan."

(Ahh coolie. Nerine looks nice with pink hair. ^^)

(I wonder what did you think about Nerine's pink hair. ^^)

Nerine giggled and replied, "He sure likes to sleep late, doesn't he?"

(Ahh I edited my previous post once I saw the pic. I think Nerine's pretty with pink hair so of course, Alex loves it. )

Alex replied, "Yup, he sure does. But I don't understand. How can anyone want to sleep in when there's food?"

Just then, a butler entered the room and placed breakfast dishes containing pancakes and bacon in front of Alex and Nerine. Then he placed a couple of side dishes for the two of them. One was a couple of slices of toast buttered and the other was a bowl of fresh fruit. Finally, the butler placed a couple of glasses of orange juice.

Then he said, "Breakfast is served. If there's anything else that you'd like or if you'd prefer something else, please ring the bell on the table and we'll be happy to help out right away."

The butler then bowed and returned to the kitchen.

Alex replied, "Wow, this sure is a lot of food. I can't wait to get started."

Nerine giggled again and replied, "Wow, Alex, you sure do like to eat a lot. I am glad I can cook myself otherwise, you might have not married me. I doubt you will want to marry a wife who can't cook, now will you?"

Alex was about to start eating when he heard Nerine's comment so he replied, "Awww that doesn't matter to me. Even if you couldn't cook, I would still love you nonetheless. I fell in love with you because of the beauty of your heart and spirit. The ability to cook was an extra touch. But I can cook when the occasion calls for it."

Just then, Bryan entered the dining room, looking all sleepy eyed and doing his best to shake the sleepiness out from his eyes. He was still half asleep so he didn't even noticed Nerine's hair. He just saw Alex and Nerine having breakfast in the dining room.

Bryan said, "Hey, Alex, Miss Nerine, good morning. Man, Alex, you just had to start eating, didn't you?"

Alex replied, "But of course. But I don't understand how you can sleep in when there's breakfast and food."

Nerine freaked out a bit when she saw Bryan. Lowing her head a bit so that he won't realize the new hair, she replied, "Good morning, Bryan. Good to see you awake. I hope you had a good sleep."

Bryan replied, "Thanks, Miss Nerine. Yup, I slept well last night."

Bryan continued shaking the sleepiness out of his eyes and then became more awake. It was then that he noticed the new color of Nerine's hair.

"Umm, Miss Nerine, pardon me if I'm being rude, but why did you change your hair color? Although the pink is very pretty and becoming for you."

Nerine began to feel so nervous that she was sweating a bit. Trembling a bit, she replied,

"Um, oh, I just felt like it. We devils can change our hair's color easily."

Bryan wondered if what Nerine had just said and looked over at Alex for confirmation.

Alex said, "Oh yes, that's the case. Nerine had told me some of the devils' ability and all and they can change their hair color. It's pretty cool, I think." Alex kept a straight face the entire time.

Bryan just shrugged and said, "Ahh ok. Well, I'm hungry so I'm going to have breakfast as well."

Bryan sat down and rang the bell and soon the butler returned with breakfast for Bryan.

Nerine was relieved that Bryan didn't ask her anymore questions about her hair. She would have been so nervous otherwise.

But being a bit hungry, she started to eat her breakfast as well.

So Alex and Bryan, along with Nerine were having breakfast in the dining room and enjoying their time together. Alex was soon finished with his share but he was still hungry so he rang the bell. A butler came out and said,

"Is there anything the matter, sir?"

Alex replied, "Well, I'm still hungry so I'd like some more pancakes, please."

The butler replied, "Coming up, sir."

The butler returned to the kitchen and soon returned with a fresh stack of pancakes for Alex. "Here you are, sir."

Alex replied, "Thank you." Then he started to eat again.

Bryan looked up and saw Alex eating away and said, "Meh, you just can't stop eating at times, can you now?"

Alex replied, "Whatever. Anyway, you have good cooks here and plenty of food so I might as well."

Nerine felt a bit embarrassed of Alex's behavior. She beat him with her elbow in his stomach gently and whispered,

"Honey, be a little politer."

Bryan chuckled as he observed Nerine try to control Alex and his eating behavior.

Bryan said, "Oh it's all right, Miss Nerine. I'm used to Alex and his eating behavior now. And I guess it's true. My cooks here are pretty good."

Alex looked up and said, "Yup, yup." Deciding to change the subject, he said, "So, Bryan, did someone go to check on my place last night?"

Bryan replied, "Ahh yes. I got word back that no one is there now. It looks like anyone who was there left in a hurry so it's safe to go back there. But if the two of you feel safer staying here for the rest of the week, I have no problems with that."

Alex replied, "Well, I'll let my darling decide on this." He looked over to Nerine to see what she thought about the situation.

Nerine replied, "Well, I am sure we don't want to trouble Bryan anymore so I guess we should go back to the house. If Rosalind really left, it should be safe."
