Lycoris replied, "Sure, Alex."

She took her mug of the hot chocolate carefully and drank a bit of it. Quietly, she yum-ed.

"Wow! It really tastes so sweet. Just like the one I tasted yesterday."

Rosaline replied, "Hmmm, well, usually I dance to music or on ice, out of course. I can be also wandering around the city, looking at people or if I want to be alone, I look out of the window and sing while looking at the beautiful stars."

(Hi Love. I'm sorry that I wasn't here last night. I had Internet problems and all.)

Alex smiled and drank a little of his hot chocolate as well. He replied,

"Yum. Indeed this is very good. I'm so happy that you love it. Chocolate is one of my favorites. Try the cheesecake, darling. I'm curious to know what you think about the taste."

Bryan replied, "Ahh I see. All those activities are fun. My love, would you do me the honor of singing a song for me? I would love to hear your melodious voice."

Patriaclos nodded and replied, "Ahh thanks, sweetie."

He stood up and helped Andra to her feet, then escorting her to the dining room. Greg followed but before he left, he observed Rosalind's tired state and approached her. There was worry in his eyes and he asked,

"Honey, are you all right? The doctor said that you should rest as much as possible. I hope it wasn't too much trouble preparing dinner and all."

(Ahh it's ok. I am glad you are back now. ^^)

Lycoris nodded and then took a small bite of her cheesecake. It indeed tasted very yummy and she again yum-ed.

"Wow, this is so delicious! The humans eat very yummy food, Alex."

Rosaline replied, "Ummm I am not sure that my voice is that good. I mean, it has a bit of toughness and I am not sure you may like it."

Rosalind smiled and shook her head. She indeed was tired but she didn't want Greg to over worry.

"Nah, I am fine. It's ok, my love. A bit of tiredness won't hurt really even if I am pregnant."

Alex loved the innocent look that Lycoris gave as she tried out the cheesecake and enjoyed it. Looking at her, he loved to see his darling try and enjoy new things to her, which brought a warm smile to his face.

Alex replied, "I'm so happy that you love it, darling. Cheesecake is one of my favorite desserts along with chocolate cake, of course. Sometimes I love having a little dessert after a good dinner. It's a wonderful way to enjoy the evening and what makes it even more wonderful is being here with you."

Bryan shook his head and replied, "Aww, I'm sure your voice is absolutely beautiful, like that of an angel. And not everyone has to sing in the same way. I'm curious to hear your singing."

Greg nodded his head and replied, "All right. But please, if you need or want any help, let me know. And after we finish dinner, I must help you clean up so you don't overexert yourself.

Now I think your parents must be waiting for us."

Lycoris replied, "And I love spending the evening with you, too! You know, I bet that all these delicious things wouldn't taste as quite delicious if you weren't here with me.

Alex, let's make a deal. From now on, you teach me more about the humans and I can tell you all you want to know about devils. Ok?"

Rosaline looked a bit shy but she replied, "Oh ok. Umm well, you want a love song, I suppose?"

Rosalind nodded and held Greg's arm, waiting for him to lead the way to the diner room.

Alex nodded happily and replied, "Sure, that sounds great. I'll be happy to tell you all about humans and I want to learn about devils. They must be wonderful if they're as lovely as you."

He drank a little more of his hot chocolate and ate a piece of cheesecake as well.

Bryan replied, "Ahh any song will do. But a love song from you to me would be so special and so memorable."

He sat upright, waiting for Rosaline to sing.

Greg held Rosalind's arm and led her into the dining room. There, Andra and Patriaclos were already seated, waiting for them. Greg helped Rosalind into her seat and then he took his seat next to her.

Rosaline sat upright as well and taking a deep breath, she replied, "Oh ok then. I suppose I owe you something as you have sung to me before."

She then began to sing a sweet love song, full of love phrases for Bryan and Bryan only.

After everyone was seated, Rosalind said, "So I would like to know what does everyone think."

Alex had a question on his mind, based on what had happened earlier today with the king and queen's announcement. Turning to Lycoris, he asked,

"Darling, I'm curious to know something. You were a princess back in the devil kingdom, right?"

Bryan listened to his Rosaline sing a beautiful love song for him. His heart was so touched, listening to the melodious sound of her voice. He enjoyed listening to her sing and couldn't wait to hear more.

Patriaclos and Greg nodded and the men began to take a bite of their dinner. Greg said,

"Yum, this is delicious as always, honey. You sure are the best cook ever."

Patriaclos added, "Yup, I agree with Greg. You make the most delicious food."

Lycoris nodded and replied, "Yup, sort of. A princess that never actually appeared. Why do you ask?"

Rosaline continued to sing lovingly to Bryan, giving sweet looking towards him. She said all what's inside her heart, how grateful she was to Bryan and how much she loved him.

Andra took a bite of her food as well and replied, "Yup, the men are right. It's really delicious."

Rosalind replied, "Awww thanks, everyone. I am glad you all like it."

Alex paused in eating his cheesecake to reply, "Ahh there's something I wanted to tell you. Earlier today, Nerine and I visited the king and queen of Devenshire. You may not know but the royal couple do not have any heirs to take over their rule. So they asked Nerine and me if we wanted to become king and queen. We haven't given them an answer yet but Nerine and I, along with my parents, talked about this and we feel that it would be too much responsibility to take over such an important role.

But I wonder. What would you do if you were offered such a chance? Would you take it?"

Bryan returned the romantic looks to Rosaline. He was so moved by her voice and the words of her song that he fell deeper and deeper in love with her, if that was even possible. Her voice was so strong and Bryan could tell that Rosaline definitely had musical talent in her.

Greg continued to eat, enjoying his dinner and the time that he was spending with Rosalind and her parents. Greg thought to ask, directing his question towards Andra and Patriaclos,

"I wonder. Since Patriaclos doesn't teach any more students, what do you two usually do during the day?"

Lycoris was a bit surprised by what Alex said but she replied, "No, I would not. You know, not only because that might put Nerine in danger, but because I feel that I was not born to be royal. I'd rather enjoy simple things around me and learn new things."

Soon, Rosaline finished up the song with some more romantic verses. After she was done, she asked nervously,

"Ummm so what did you think?"

Alex smiled, replying, "You know, you sound just like Nerine. I'm like that, too. I enjoy the simple things in life. I mean, it's nice to have money and a title but I would be just as happy being poor, as long as I'm with the one that I love."

He touched Lycoris' hand and looked lovingly into her eyes as he said those words.

Bryan approached Rosaline, wrapped his arms around her waist, and leaned in to kiss her. That was the answer he gave to her question.

Patriaclos replied, "Ahh well, my Andra and I have been spending a lot of time together. Isn't that right, dear?"

He looked over at Andra, loving to look at her.

Lycoris smiled and blushed. She loved spending time with her love, peacefully having a nice evening together.

Rosaline wrapped her arms around Bryan and returned the kiss affectionately.

Andra nodded and replied, "Yup, that's quite right. I love spending time with you, my love."

Alex resumed to eat his cheesecake and drink some more hot chocolate. He then said,

"So tell me, darling. What else would you like to know about humans? I'm your guide after all."

Bryan continued to kiss Rosaline for a while, showing her how much he loved and appreciated the song that she sang for him. After a while, the kiss ended and he stared lovingly into Rosaline's eyes, replying,

"Does that gesture answer my love's question?"

Patriaclos didn't say a word but stared lovingly into Andra's eyes. Greg noticed and thought that they would have another one of those times where they would stare at each other for a long time so he asked,

"Ahh Andra, what was it like when you were pregnant with Rosalind and Rosaline?"

Lycoris looked curious and asked, "Ahh I have a question. Can humans eat any other creatures?"

Rosaline nodded and replied, "Yup, it did. And I am glad you like the song. I hope my voice wasn't too tough."

Andra turned to Greg and replied, "Ahh well, it wasn't really easy. At first, I could manage but in the last two months, the babies began moving a lot so it gave me quite a lot of pain."

Alex replied, "Ahh well, humans do eat meat. For instance, we like beef which comes from cows and chicken. Also, I happen to like a lot of seafood such as fish and shrimp. There are some humans who do not eat any animals at all. They're known as vegetarians and they don't believe in eating other animals.

What about for devils? What do you all usually like to eat?"

Bryan shook his head and replied, "Your voice was absolutely magnificent, my love. You know, if you wanted to, you could have a famous music career. Your voice is very unique-one that others have not heard before and the world would be delighted to listen to it."

Greg replied, "Ahh I see. It must have been quite difficult to have carried twins. Andra, if I may ask, do you have any advice for how I should take care of my Rosalind? I want her and our baby to be healthy and safe."

Lycoris replied, "Well, devils eat plants a lot and they can eat flowers, too. Actually, it might seem pretty weird since that's not the devils' default food. Their main food is actually...umm, should I say it or perhaps you might get scared?"

Rosaline couldn't help but blush a bit and replied, "Ahh you over react, really. My voice is not that great. Plus, your voice is so much better."

Rosalind heard Greg's question and turned to him, saying, "Aww my love, you are really over worrying. I told you, honey, I am fine. Being pregnant isn't that hard."

Alex was confused as to what Lycoris could be hinting at. He touched her hand to reassure and said,

"Aww you can tell me, darling. I'll do my best to keep an open mind."

Bryan blushed in return and replied, "Aww, my love. You shouldn't underestimate yourself. Your voice is absolutely beautiful. And as for me, I don't sing for anybody but you are very special."

Greg turned to Rosalind and replied, "I know, honey, but I can't help but worry. I want you to take it as easy as possible for both you and the baby's sake."

Lycoris nodded slowly and replied, "Oh ok. Well, devils' main food is actually umm...humans."

Rosaline replied, "Really? I am very happy to hear that. Say my love, when did you fall in love with me?"

*******************************************

Rosalind replied, "Awww my love, how I love you. But taking it easy more than enough can be called laziness, you know, honey?"

Alex was shocked, for he hadn't expected that answer to come from Lycoris. He stared at her, speechless, not knowing what to say or think. He didn't even bother to pay attention to his food, which anyone knew was unusual for him to do.

Bryan thought it over for a moment and then replied, "Hmm I believe it was around the time that it rained. I remember seeing you when you were sick and I was so worried. I had never before been so panicked about anyone and I knew when my heart tugged the way that it did, that there was something special about you. And running with you in my arms, I felt like I cared so much about you, which turned out to be love.

But I didn't want to push things right away. I understood that it's not easy to love again and I was surprised to have fallen in love myself. But I'm glad I did and I've never felt happier than I do now."

Greg chuckled and replied, "I would never call you lazy, honey. Well, I suppose it's all right to keep busy. But honey, what about our shop? Do you think you can help me run it while you're carrying our child?"

Lycoris noticed the look on Alex's face and looked a bit worried. She asked, "Alex, are you ok?"

Rosaline hugged Bryan and replied, "I am so happy to be in love with you, my love. When do you think I have fallen in love with you?"

Alex shook his head and snapped out of his state. He looked at Lycoris and replied,

"Oh yes, I'm fine. Forgive me. I think something's wrong with my hearing. For a moment, I thought that you said that devils eat humans."

Bryan replied, "Hmm perhaps when we were together in my room later that night? I would love for the mystery to be solved."

(lol Poor Alex. )

Lycoris replied, "Ummm why, but I really said that. Devils do eat humans."

Rosaline laughed and replied, "Actually, my love, I do not know. Perhaps it was when you showed that much care for me, under the rain. Yup, perhaps we fell in love in the same moment."

Rosalind replied, "Yup, I can, my love. Pregnant or not, I must always help you."

Alex replied slowly, "Oh I see. But why? I don't understand. And although I'm not complaining or anything, shouldn't I have been eaten by now?"

Alex looked over at Lycoris, wondering for a moment whether she'd entertain the thought of eating him.

Bryan hugged Rosaline and chuckled himself. "Perhaps you are right, my love. It's like magic that we both fell in love with each other at the same time. It's like fate brought us together."

*******************************

Greg replied, "Ahh all right, honey. It would be quite lonely otherwise if I were to run the store by myself."

Patriaclos added, "Ahh sweetie, it's great that you want to help Greg out and all but please take care of yourself, ok? I remember how it was when Andra was pregnant with you and your sister. The first few months are ok but towards the later months, it tends to get hard."

(Ok, I'm going to get off for the night and get some sleep. I'll see you tomorrow, Love. ^^)

Lycoris giggled and replied, "Awww no, no. I will never eat you, Alex. But devils are actually supposed to eat humans. That's their default food. But well, we devils prefer peace so we don't want to eat humans since it might become a war."

She paused for a second then said, "You didn't get scared, did you?"

Rosaline nodded and replied, "Yup, that's true. Destiny has chosen us to be in love as it seems.

I wonder, my love. What did you think of me when you first saw me in this room? I remember that I wasn't very nice back then."

Rosalind smiled and replied, "Don't worry, father. I want my child to be healthy as everyone does so definitely I will take care of it."
