Romance RP

Matthew smiled and replied, "Yes, that's true.  People are getting ready for work and such.  The town is quite lively during the day."

The two of them continued to walk and merchants would wave at them in a friendly manner as they did so.

Anjela smiled at the merchants as they would wave at them and she might even wave back. She replied warmly,

"And the people here are so warm. Back in Cephiron, I used to get strange looks even when I am wearing my hood and even little kids would be scared. But it's not the same here."

Matthew smiled sadly and replied, "I see.  It sounds like the people in Cephiron are kind of cold?  I think the people here are really nice.  Of course, there are always a few unpleasant ones but that's to be expected in every town."

Anjela turned to Matthew and smiling a bit, she said,

"I think it partly has to do with the rulers and living conditions. Cephiron's people didn't use to be so cold or mean but when the queen took the throne and things started getting worse, so did their mood. But Devenshire's rulers are nice people and they treat their people kindly, so the people are happy and warm."

Matthew nodded and replied, "Yes, that makes sense.  The people here are happy because our king and queen are kind and fair.  They do their best to make life better for all their people, regardless of class or status.  Some say that our rulers are pretty progressive."

Anjela nodded and said, "That's what I mean. You're lucky to have such good rulers, you know. Not all kingdoms are so fortunate. Well, I hope the next ruler for the gods' world is better than the current one."

As Anjela planned on killing Lisianthus and she had no heirs, she had no idea who could rule next if her plan worked out.

Matthew couldn't help but feel disturbed as he heard the implications behind Anjela's words.  He could understand why Anjela hated Lisianthus but at the same time, he felt that she had held that anger for a long time and it wasn't good for her.

Still, he didn't say anything and just continued to walk with Anjela as they left the town.

As Matthew stayed silent, Anjela could tell he understood the meaning behind her words and he didn't like them. She sighed inwardly but didn't say anything, understanding. Likewise, he didn't want her to go through her revenge although she didn't know if that was because he worried about her, or he, too, valued Lisianthus' life. She knew it was most likely the first choice but she couldn't be so sure.

She didn't say anything and just walked with him silently as they left town and headed back.

Matthew and Anjela continued to walk through the town and soon were within its outskirts.  As they walked up the hill to the countryside, towards Ryan's place, Matthew said,

"I know we'll have to resume business soon but the time I've spent with you has been wonderful."

Anjela smiled softly as she heard Matthew's words and squeezing his hand gently, she replied warmly,

"It's been wonderful for me as well. I love every moment I spend with you and in your company, Matt. Thank you for the great time."

Matthew happily replied, "And thank you for your wonderful company.  I couldn't have asked for anyone else to be with me."

He smiled at Anjela as the two of them continued their walk.

Anjela continued smiling and she squeezed Matthew's hand gently again although she didn't say anything. The couple were soon a short distance away from Ryan's place and Anjela sighed inwardly, but there was no way out this time. They had important matters to take care of and she couldn't postpone them forever.

Matthew looked at Anjela and he said,

"Yeah, I know.  We couldn't put it off forever, though, but we have to do what we have to do.  This is for Lycoris.  We have to remember that."

Anjela nodded and replied, "Yeah, I know. Heh, I have to toughen up a bit more, eh? I think spending too much time around made me more soft-hearted."

She said that light-heartedly, but she took a deep breath and decided to really concentrate more.

Matthew chuckled and replied, "Heh, it's ok.  We needed the time to relax but now it's time to get back to work."

He gently squeezed her hand in comfort and the two of them continued their walk towards Ryan's place.

Anjela smiled and nodded as she walked with him back towards Ryan's place, which they were almost at. Inside, Lisianthus was still in the living room although she had fallen asleep sitting on the coach, as she kept waiting for Matthew and Anjela to make it back but as they took so long, she fell asleep where she was.

Matthew and Anjela continued their walk and soon, they were within walking distance of Ryan's place.  Matthew took a breath and said,

"We're almost there.  Ready?"

Meanwhile, Ryan had stayed up all night, wanting to wait up for Matthew and Anjela, and he wondered where there had been, if something had happened to them.

Anjela took a breath as well and nodding, she frowned slightly and replied,

"Yes, I'm ready. We need to do what we have to do."

Matthew nodded and replied, "Yup, that's right.  Let's go."

He held onto Anjela's hand and the two of them headed towards Ryan's house, towards the front door.

Anjela held onto Matthew's hand as they headed towards Ryan's place and towards the front door, then they walked in. Anjela looked around and as she caught sight of the sleeping Lisianthus, she raised an eyebrow and said,

"What is she doing here, sleeping like that?"

Matthew replied, "Uhh, I have no idea."

He looked around added, "Is it it just me or is it a bit too quiet around here?"

Anjela furrowed her eyebrows and nodding, she said, "Yeah, you're right. Where's everyone? And where's mom?"

Anjela's and Matthew's voices woke Lisinathus up, and as she became more attentive and noticed their presence, she quickly sat up and relieved, she said,

"Oh you two are finally back. Is-is it morning already? Were you out all night...?"

She rubbed the sleepiness out of her eyes as she tried to be more oriented.

Matthew nodded and replied, "Yeah, we were.  We only just got back.  Where's Ryan?  Where's Lady Penelope?"

Meanwhile, as it definitely was too long, Ryan decided to go out to find Matthew and Anjela.

Lisianthus looked around and replied, "Umm I don't know where Ryan is but Lady Penelope..."

She trailed off, looking a bit intimidated by Anjela, who was starting to lose her patience. She angrily said, "Where's my mom?"

Lisianthus gulped but she tentatively continued, "Lady Penelope was kidnapped. That awful man, the captain-he attacked Lycoris and Alex. Ryan and Lady Penelope went to help them out and although they all came back safely, Lady Penelope was taken away."

Matthew widened his eyes in shock and replied, "What?  How could this happen?"

Ryan came down the stairs to see Matthew and Anjela.  He rubbed his eyes and tiredly said,

"You two got back finally.  I thought I was going to have search for you both."

(Getting sleepy so I'll get off for the night now but I'll post again tomorrow.  Nite, nite, Love.  ^^)
