Romance RP

Alex nodded and replied, "Yes, that's a good idea.  I was wondering because I know human women can't have such drinks while they're pregnant.  I don't know if it's different for devils."

(I have quite a bit of a headache today, unfortunately, so I'm not really feeling up to RPing much.  I might be able to make another post before I go to bed but we'll see.  :/)

(Aww I understand. Please take care of yourself, pheonix and I hope you feel all better soon. ^^  )

Nerine looked thoughtful and then chuckling awkwardly, she replied,

"I don't really know. I mean, I haven't encountered any pregnant women in my life really. It would have helped if my mother were here but yeah."

She sighed then remembering something, she tentatively said, "If Matthew isn't able to help much on devils, the shapeshifter may help? Umm she is a devil and she was pregnant before, right?"

(Thanks.  Fortunately, my headache is more manageable now.  I've just had things been busy on my end recently but I took some good advice and I feel better now.  ^^)

Alex nodded and replied, "Yes, that's true.  I can ask her if Matthew doesn't know although for now, we'll just take the usual precautions.  After all, we want out baby to be healthy, right?"

(I totally understand and I am glad you feel better now. ^^)

Nerine nodded happily and replied, "Of course. I'll take care of myself quite well."

She continued eating her breakfast and so did the others. Eventually, they were all starting to finish up.

As everyone was finishing up breakfast, there was a knock at the front door.  It was Helena, as she had planned to take Nerine out for the day.  A butler came to open the door and after letting her in and asking her to wait in the living room, the butler came to the dining room and addressing Matthew, he said,

"Sir, Miss Helena is in the living room."

Matthew nodded and replied, "Thank you.  Please tell her that we'll be there soon."

The butler nodded and went back to the living room to inform Helena.

Nerine smiled as she heard that Helena came over and happily said, 

"Looks like we have company for the morning. I am glad Helena came over. She is very friendly and nice to have around."

(I'm back.  I'm going to be gaming so I might be slow in my posts.  XD)

Alex nodded and replied, "Yes, I agree.  Helena is friendly and great company to have."

He remembered the plan and gave a brief but knowing look towards Matthew and Lady Penelope.

Lady Penelope noticed Alex's look and wondered if he would be willing to cooperate after all despite the situation. She gave a quick nod to him in response.

She was soon all finished with her food as was Nerine. Lycoris had finished a little earlier than both of them.

Soon, the others finished up their breakfast, too, and seeing that everyone was done, Matthew said,

"Let's go say hi to Helena."

He got up from his seat, helped Lycoris up and escorted her to the living room.  Alex did the same with Nerine, and the others followed suit.

The party followed Matthew to the living room where Helena was. There, Nerine was the first one to greet her happily as she said,

"Hello, Helena. I am really happy to see you. How have you been?"

Helena smiled kindly at Nerine and replied, "I'm well.  Business has been good and I've been good.  How has everyone been?"

Matthew smiled and replied, "It's been good here as well."

Alex smiled and added, "Same here."

Lady Penelope nodded happily and replied, 

"Same here. It's been peaceful and quiet for the past few days, thank goodness."

Helena replied, "I'm happy to hear that."

Turning to Nerine, she then said, "Nerine, I was wondering if you'd like to spend the day with me.  I was thinking that we could go to my shop and if you'd like some dresses, you can see what I have, and we can also use the chance to chat and get to know each other better.  What do you think?"

Nerine was a bit surprised by Helena's offer but she liked the idea very much. Smiling, she said, "I would like that very much. It's been a while since I've been to Devenshire and I truly miss it."

Looking at Alex, she said, "But only if my Alex agrees to it. Will that be fine, Alex? Will you be ok by yourself?"

Alex smiled lovingly at Nerine and replied, "Don't worry about me, darling.  I'll be fine.  I'll find something to do.  You should go have fun with Helena and it actually might be a good idea to look around for some dresses."

He was implying that Nerine might need a few, now that she was pregnant.

Nerine understood what Alex meant and nodding happily, she said, "That's right. Thank you, Alex. You're the best."

She gave him a quick kiss on the cheek then smiling happily to Helena, she said, 

"Ok then, I am definitely coming."

Helena smiled and replied, "That's wonderful.  I can't wait for us to spend the day together."

Matthew took out a cloak from a nearby coat closet and handing it to Nerine, he said,

"Here, Nerine.  You should wear this just in case, at least when you're outside."

Nerine took the cloak from Matthew and nodding, she replied,

"Thank you, Matthew. I'll make sure to wear it and be careful. No worries about me."

She smiled gratefully to him then looking to Helena, she said, "I am ready when you are."

Helena smiled and nodding, she replied, "Ok, let's get going then."

She looked to the others and said, "I'll bring Nerine back before dinnertime.  I hope everyone has a wonderful day."

She then left the house with Nerine.

Nerine bid everyone goodbye as well then followed Helena out of the house so they could spend the day together.

After they left, the chancellor excused himself shortly after, leaving Lady Penelope, Alex, Matthew and Lycoris by themselves. Lady Penelope smiled at Alex and asked,

"So how do you plan on spending the day, darling?"

Although the three of them knew about the plan, Lycoris was present and she was clueless.

Alex looked to Lycoris and replied, "Well, I'd like to spend the day with Lycoris, if that's all right with you, Lycoris."

He looked kindly at her, wondering how she'd react to the idea.

Lycoris looked quite surprised as she heard Alex's response to Lady Penelope's question, but surprised as she was, she was also happy even if she wouldn't admit it. It took her a moment to be able to reply but she finally said,

"Umm I-I wouldn't mind. But what about Matt? Umm I don't want to leave him by himself."

Matthew smiled softly at Lycoris and shaking his head, he replied,

"Hey, don't worry about me.  I can use the time to catch up on some work but perhaps I'll join you two later, if that's ok."

Alex nodded and replied, "If you can make the time, I'm sure we'd both appreciate it."

Lycoris nodded and replied, "Of course, please do, Matt. I-I guess I can keep Alex company until you're free then."

She had to admit that she was quite happy inside as this was the first time in a very long while that she was going to spend time with Alex alone. However, she did her best to keep her happiness contained.

Matthew smiled and nodding, he replied, "Please excuse me then.  I'll be in my office if anyone needs me."

He then left.  Then Alex turned to Lycoris and asked, "Is there anywhere you'd like to go, Lycoris?  I mean, around the house, of course."
