Romance RP

Alex nodded and closing his eyes, he opened up the telepathy to reach out to Lycoris and said,

Lycoris?  It's me, Alex.  Are you there?  Are you still in control?

Although Alex tried to contact Lycoris and his message got through, there was no response. Lycoris wasn't even conscious and thus, she couldn't hear Alex let alone respond to him.

Alex was concerned and looking to the others, he said,

"Lycoris isn't responding.  She could just be asleep but should I try contacting her again?"

Ryan replied, "Of course.  She needs to know about the plan."

(Getting sleepy so I'll get off for the night now and go to sleep.  I'll check back tomorrow and post again.  Nite, nite, Love.  ^^)

Irene frowned in concern as well but nodding immediately, she replied,

"Yes, keep trying to contact her. She needs to have an idea about this so that she has time to act. We need her to be alone when we go in so we don't have to confront Duke Collins."

Alex nodded and using the telepathy again, he reached out to Lycoris and said,

Lycoris, it's me, Alex.  If you're asleep, I need you to wake up now.  It's important.

(Sorry I wasn't able to come on earlier today. I had to go somewhere with my dad and I came back later than I thought. I'll be here tomorrow as usual though. ^^)

Lycoris couldn't respond, however, as she wasn't only asleep, but she was unconscious and it wasn't within her hands to wake up, as she had been forcefully knocked out. Alex's tries to reach her were all in vain.

Alex continued to communicate with Lycoris but seeing that she didn't respond, he looked to the others and said,

She isn't replying.  I-I don't know what happened.

Irene became even more concerned, wondering what could have happened to Lycoris. She replied,

"What could have happened to her? If it were her other self in control, why didn't she reply? Could-could Duke Collins have hurt her?"

Ryan's hands were suddenly clenched in fists and he angrily replied, "He better not have harmed her or I swear-"

Alex cut him off and replied, "Listen, we don't know what's going on so we shouldn't assume the worst.  I'll keep trying to communicate with Lycoris but in the worst case, the two of us can carry her out of her room.  We just have to make sure that she isn't with Duke Collins when we execute the plan."

(I'm gaming as well so I might be slow in my postings.  XD)

The shapeshifter nodded and replied, "Alex is right. We shouldn't take action too quickly. The plan will go as we had already planned. If Lycoris is harmed or otherwise, we'll take her out of there. Hopefully, Duke Collins won't be with her but if he is, we'll have no choice but to face him and take Lycoris forcefully from him."

Alex nodded and replied, "Yeah, that's right.  I would prefer not to have to fight Duke Collins but I will if I must.  We should be able to take him down if there aren't too many of his guards with him."

Irene sighed and inwardly hoping that it wouldn't come to that, she said, 

"I suppose we have no choice. I hope that things go smoothly however it is and I seriously pray we don't have to confront the duke."

The carriage continued going through the forests to Wyvlen, where the duke's mansion was.

Alex looked to see that they had arrived outside the duke's mansion.  He took a deep breath and after letting it out, he said,

"Here we are.  Are you we all ready?"

Ryan nodded, his eyes determined to free Lycoris.

The whole party nodded and quietly, they made it out of the carriage, which had stopped a suitable distance away from the mansion so they wouldn't be detected by the guards. After they all had prepared themselves, the shapeshifter took a breath and said, 

"Ok, I am going in. Wait for my message and once I give you the signal, you can start getting in, ok?"

Alex nodded and replied, "Ok, we'll wait for your signal."

He looked at her with a hint of worry in his eyes and added, "Please be careful and safe, ok?"

The shapeshifter nodded and replied, "Don't worry. I'll be quick."

Using her shapeshifting abilities, she turned herself into a small crow, and headed towards the mansion. Indeed, her shapeshifting power was able to penetrate the shields and took her safely to inside.

As the others watched the shapeshifter enter the mansion, Alex turned to Lady Penelope and gently said,

"She'll be all right, my lady.  I know you must be worried about her but hopefully, we can get Lycoris out quickly."

Lady Penelope smiled softly to Alex, comforting him that she was okay, although indeed, she was quite worried about her daughter.

Inside, the shapeshifter went through the mansion, which was a lot quieter than she thought it would be, which worried her a little. Following Duchess Irene's instructions, she went through and finally reached the room which controlled all the shields and protections.

However, what she found there was unexpected.

Ryan replied, "I hope she can disable the protections quickly so we can get in and get Lycoris out of there."

Alex nodded although he didn't say anything.  He was worried both for the shapeshifter and Lycoris.

In the protections' room, the shapeshifter saw the surprise that she hadn't been expecting, for the guards were expecting her and made a trap for her, catching her right before she would reach any protections and disabled her abilities.

At that moment, one of the guards contacted Duke Collins to let him know of what happened. And a few moments after, Duke Collins was the one to contact Ryan and say,

Well, well, I bet you're still waiting outside my mansion for your little friend, aren't you?

Ryan was surprised to hear Duke Collins' voice but as he didn't want to rise to the bait, he didn't reply.  Instead, he turned to the others and quietly told them what had happened, that Duke Collins was communicating with him.

Lady Penelope was immediately the most worried one, as her daughter was the one inside and she wondered what could have happened to her. Irene didn't understand and confused, she said,

"What? So Duke Collins knew that we were coming? But how?"

On the other side, as Ryan hadn't responded, Duke Collins continued,

Well, don't bother. Lycoris and I aren't in the mansion. As for your shapeshifting friend, I wouldn't suggest for you to try to go in and help her if you don't want her harmed.

Ryan was confused but kept his calm as best he could.  Continuing to ignore Duke Collins, he looked to the others and told them what Duke Collins had told him.  Alex then replied,

"What do we do now?  If Lycoris is somewhere else, maybe we should split up?"

Irene was even more confused and replied, 

"If they aren't in the mansion, the duke won't be foolish enough to take Lycoris near here. I am not sure where they are but maybe the duke is bluffing? Perhaps they are still inside after all?"

Lady Penelope was becoming even more worried and immediately said,

"We can't do anything hasty. My-my daughter is still in there. We can't risk endangering her life."

Alex replied, "Then what do we do?"

Ryan furrowed his eyebrows and replied, "I see one of two options.  One-we contact Sia and tell her what's going on.  See if she worries enough to help.  Or two-I reply to Duke Collins and see what he wants and see if I can find out any useful info."
