Romance RP

Nerine loved the idea and nodding happily, she said,

"I'd love that. That does sound quite romantic indeed."

She paused then remembering something, she asked with concern,

"Shouldn't we take Sia's permission first though?"

Alex replied, "You do make a good point, darling, but it would be awkward to ask Sia now when Duchess Irene is probably trying to talk to her."

He looked perplexed, wondering what they should do.

Nerine nodded and looking troubled as well, she said, "That's true."

Melody whinnied again and made the same gesture towards the couple, as though she were saying that Lisianthus wouldn't mind.

Alex smiled softly and thinking of a compromise, he replied, "How about we ride on Melody around the grounds?  That way, we would remain at the castle but we can still have the romantic evening ride.  What do you say?"

He looked to both Nerine and Melody for their replies.

Melody whinnied happily at the suggestion all the same and Nerine smiled, thinking it was a fair solution. She replied,

"Yup, I think that's a good idea too. In that case, lead the way, my Alex."

She waited for him to lead Melody out of her stall then they could enjoy a short ride around the castle grounds.

Alex gently held Nerine's arm while he led Melody out of the stables.  Once they were outside, Alex got on Melody and then helped Nerine behind him.  Once he felt Nerine's arms securely around his waist, he directed Melody to slowly walk on the castle grounds, enjoying the evening air.

Nerine held on tightly to Alex as they rode Melody together around the castle grounds, enjoying this quiet and peaceful ride. She happily commented,

"This is such a wonderful time, isn't it? And I think Melody appreciates the walk too."

Melody whinnied happily at that comment.

Alex chuckled and replied, "Yup, I can definitely tell.  I'm enjoying this evening you, darling, and another beautiful lady."

He gently petted Melody on her head and as they continued their walk.

Melody whinnied happily and continued leading the couple in the gardens for the evening. The weather was cool and lovely and it made the ride all better and enjoyable.

Alex commented, "This was a wonderful idea and the evening is perfect.  The sky is clear and I can see the stars and moons up there.  You must love living in the gods' world, huh, Melody?"

Melody whinnied happily and flapped her wings in response. Nerine giggled happily and said, 

"Don't we all? The gods' world is such a beautiful place and deserves all the love."

Alex chuckled happily and replied, "Yup, it sure does."

As he enjoyed the evening and company, he wondered how Irene was faring with Lisianthus, hoping that she was making some progress with her.

Meanwhile, Irene was trying to talk to Lisianthus, try to talk some sense into her mind and get her to resolve things between her and Ryan, but Lisianthus was making it no easy deal, for she could stand no words about Ryan, Alex or any of the others, and she even attacked Irene herself, saying that even Irene hid things from her and were no different from the others.

As Alex resumed his evening with Nerine and Melody, he asked,

"Darling, is there anything specifically you'd like to do tomorrow?"

Nerine shrugged and replied,

"Not at the moment. I just want to spend the day in your company, and nothing else would matter. But I'm hoping that tomorrow brings some news about Lycoris, or about the situation with Sia. That's what's bothering me the most at the moment."

Alex looked worried and nodding, he replied, "Me, too.  If we don't get any news about Lycoris, the shapeshifter will want to go to another plan and I'd rather avoid something more drastic if possible."

Nerine looked worried as well and replied,

"The shapeshifter would want to attack the duke and try to take her back forcefully? But-but that's quite dangerous and things can get messy. Also, I am not sure if Sia would allow such a thing to take place."

Alex sighed and replied, "I know.  I hope it won't come to that.  I hope that the real Lycoris will tell that duke that she wants to return here on her own.  That would just solve everything."

Nerine nodded and replied,

"But that is if the real Lycoris returned in the real place. I keep thinking that maybe our idea won't work out and she won't retake control."

Alex replied, "I think she will try.  The problem is that impostor.  She's clearly the obstacle."

He looked at Melody and asked, "You probably don't know what we're talking about, do you, girl?"

Melody whinnied quietly and shook her head, indicating that indeed, she had no idea what the couple was discussing. Nerine couldn't help but smile at this and said,

"It's a big and complicated story, Melody but we have it comes to an end soon and hopefully it's a happy one."

Alex replied, "That's sure true.  It'd be difficult to explain but once things get resolved, we'll be happy to explain them if you'd like."

Melody whinnied happily, wishing that everything becomes well for the couple soon. The party continued enjoying their ride for the rest of the evening but after a couple of hours had passed, Nerine commented,

"We should probably get back inside. It's getting late and Melody needs her rest too."

Alex nodded and replied, "Yes, that's true.  We could all use some sleep."

He gave Melody a gentle pat on the head and then directed her to head back towards the stables.

The party went back to the stables where the couple got off Melody and led her back to her stall where she could rest for the night. She whinnied happily to bid them good night and Nerine petted her gently and said,

"Thanks for the ride, Melody. It was a lot of fun."

(Ahh this will be the only post I make for today as I have an exam late today and all so I'll be getting ready in a bit. XD I'll be here as usual tomorrow though. Nite, nite, phoenix. ^^)
