Romance RP

Ryan could only look back and forth between Nerine and Lycoris as the two sisters fought.  He wasn't sure whether to intervene or just let things unravel.  Also, he wondered whether the real Lycoris would be able to free herself based on what was happening before them.

Alex nodded and replied, "Of course, my lady.  I wouldn't dare leave your side.  I want to be here for you and your daughter as much as possible."

He paused and then added, "When all of this is over, I would like for you and her to stay in the human world with me and my darling for a while.  We can all get to know each other better and if you wanted, I could look into finding a position for the both of you at the royal court.  That is, if you want that."

Nerine had to admit to herself that she was surprised at how Lycoris talked back to her, as she never did before. Becoming only more angry, she replied,

"Now, now, look at our cruel, ugly creature finally revealing her true self. Don't act so perfect, will you? You're nothing but a terrible, selfish creature who only thinks of her own good!"

Lycoris became more furious and replied, "No one is selfish here but you, and I've had enough with you! You've always treated me like I am lower than you, you treated me cruelly and selfishly but no more. The weak, stupid Lycoris is no more, understood?!"

Addressing Ryan angrily, she said, "Let's get out of here and tell Sia everything so this traitor gets what she deserves!"

Despite the situation, Lady Penelope smiled softly and replied, "I will appreciate this very much, darling and I am sure my daughter will too. I can't thank you enough for everything you have been doing for us both."

Gratefully, she gave Alex a motherly hug in a way to show how thankful she was.

Despite Lycoris' anger, Ryan used his telepathy to reach out to Nerine and said,

This is the other personality talking.  Do you see now?  The Lycoris we know wouldn't talk like this.  Truthfully, I don't want to reveal Alex but I don't see another option.  If you can but give me one, I'd consider it.

Alex returned Lady Penelope's hug and replied, "You have been very kind and wonderful to me as well as my darling and I want to do what I can to help."

Nerine angrily replied to Ryan,

Handing over your Lycoris could work, perhaps? If this is not her real personality as you say and it's just a fake one taking over, then simply, just force her to hand over herself. That is, if you truly care about us and about everyone else.

Lady Penelope broke the hug gently and replied gratefully, "Thanks, my dear."

She paused then taking a breath, she said, "Let's continue our walk for a little longer. I feel like we need some of this nature's fresh air."

Ryan replied,

I can't do that and even if I wanted to, this other personality would feel that I've betrayed her.  There must be another way.  Please, I want there to be a way for everyone to get what they want.

Alex nodded and replied, "Yes, that sounds like a good idea."

Gently holding on to Lady Penelope's arm, Alex escorted her on their walk.  As he thought that she had heard enough news, he decided not to tell her his true involvement regarding Ryan and Lycoris for now.

Nerine replied,

Forget it. There's no other way and what you're doing here is simply helping out this terrible creature.

Meanwhile, Lycoris was becoming quite impatient and said,

"I said let's go, Ryan. I am through with this."

Nerine replied back at her, "Fine, go ahead and tell Sia. But no matter what, you'll always remain, a terrible, ugly and cruel creature, Lycoris who has cared about nothing and no one but herself!"

Lycoris was definitely losing her nerves, and unable to keep her temper under control anymore, two dark balls were slowly forming in her hands, as though she was readying them to fire right at her sister.

Lady Penelope held Alex's arm as they walked through the forests and although she was still shocked from the news she knew earlier, she looked a lot calmer. Remembering something, she turned to Alex and asked,

"Have you talked to your wife recently, darling? How is she?"

Ryan's eyes widened in alarm as he saw Lycoris' hands with two dark energy balls.  Hugging her, he replied,

"Angel, please, calm down.  Attacking Nerine won't do anyone any good.  You don't want trouble here, do you?"

Alex replied, "I talked to her the other evening after we settled here.  Your daughter persuaded me to talk to my darling.  I-I was reluctant to previously since we had an argument about my involvement here.  But anyway, she seems ok.  As long as she's safe, that's good enough for me."

Lycoris angrily replied to Ryan, "Get out of my way! This traitor definitely needs to know where she truly belongs. How dare she talk to me like that! Get out of my way, Ryan!"

She wasn't making an effort to calm down and the dark balls in her hands only grew more powerful. The look in her eyes was nothing short of angry and full of hate.

Lady Penelope replied, "I see. Please excuse your wife, dear. She must be quite worried about you and missing you very much. But I am sure that once you return to her, safe and sound, she will forget everything and you will immediately make up."

However, Ryan refused to let go of Lycoris and firmly replied,

"No, I'm not moving.  This may be what you want but the Lycoris inside would never want her sister hurt, even if that means I have to be hurt instead.  So if you won't back down, you'll have to aim those dark energy balls at me."

Alex smiled a bit and replied, "I hope so.  I know she's really just more worried for me and she's masking it with anger.  I guess I went against her wishes but I want to do what's right.  I hope she knows that's how I've always been and that won't change."

Lycoris was losing her patience and angrily said,

"I won't hesitate to do so if you don't move away right now, Ryan. Get out of my way before I end up hurting both of you. I'm warning you for the last time!"

She was starting to feel an unbearable pain in her head as the real Lycoris fought to become free, as she witnessed the situation and couldn't stand watching it any longer.

Lady Penelope smiled as well and replied, "I am sure she does but how she behaves is out of love for you after all, my dear. There's no emotion that is more powerful than love so it can blind us sometimes."

Ryan shook his head and firmly but calmly replied, "Then go ahead but I won't let you hurt Nerine.  It's not what she would want."

He prepared himself for the attack and left himself defenseless.

Alex nodded and replied, "Yes, that's true."

Realizing something, he asked, "Is love motivating your daughter as well?"

He hadn't realized it until now but perhaps that was the motive behind her actions.

Lycoris was surprised that Ryan was going that far to defend Nerine but not backing off, she replied,

"Remember that you made me do this-"

She suddenly screamed in pain and went down to her knees as she held her head in pain, for the real Lycoris was pushing with everything she got. It was either she regained control this time or completely disappeared, but she would go through all the risks to protect those she cared about.

Lady Penelope was a little surprised with Alex's question but thinking about it, she replied,

"It actually is. After all, my daughter is going after Lycoris out of love for her father and wanting to do as he wished. Also, her desire for revenge is out of love for her deceased husband."

Ryan worried as Lycoris screamed and he knew what was going on.  Without a second thought, he used his telepathy to reach out to the head healer and said,

Sir, please come to the gardens immediately.  Our Lycoris is trying to return.

Alex nodded and looking thoughtful, he replied, "Yes, I see.  I can understand her wanting to fulfill the king's wish but the revenge one, I can't say that I agree with it.  It's not just because it's Sia who's involved.  I just think getting revenge feels empty, you know?"

(Getting sleepy here so I'll get off for the night now and go to sleep.  I'll post again tomorrow after I get back from work and all.  Nite, nite, Love.  ^^)

The head healer received Ryan's message and immediately replied,

I am coming right away.

Meanwhile, Lycoris appeared to be quite in pain and held her head between her hands, moaning and screaming as her two personalities fought. Nerine looked on and then turning to Ryan, she asked,

"What's wrong with her?"

Lady Penelope sighed and replied, "I truly believe in what you say, darling and so many times have I tried convincing her but she wouldn't understand. I can't exactly blame her though. She's been through so much, you know? It's like there's a fire burning inside her ever since the tragedy she went through, and she thinks that if takes her revenge, that fire will calm down although I don't think it will. Not through revenge, no."

(Back from work now.  XD)

Ryan briefly turned his attention to Nerine and said, "Our Lycoris is trying to regain control from this other one.  It's like I told you but now you can see it for yourself."

He held Lycoris in his arms and gently said, "You can do it, angel.  I know you don't want to hurt anybody."

Alex nodded and looking thoughtful, he replied, "Would it help if Sia were remorseful over her actions?  I don't know all the details of what happened but I am learning that there is a side to Sia that I haven't seen before."

Nerine could hardly believe what she heard and saw, as it seemed that the whole thing about Lycoris' different personalities was indeed true. Yet she couldn't understand it and couldn't comprehend that her sister had two personalities fighting inside her.

Meanwhile, Lycoris continued looking in pain when she suddenly fell limp in Ryan's arms, having passed out from the pain. The battle continued to go on within her however, and the real Lycoris giving it all she got.

Lady Penelope replied,

"I can't tell for sure but I don't think so. My daughter grew to hate that queen very much over the years so it would take more than just remorse."

She paused then looking thoughtful, then continued, "Sometimes I think that maybe in order for her to let go of things, she needs someone to make her get over her husband, you know? Maybe she could let go of the whole revenge thing then. Like if she can fall in love again, but that's very unlikely to happen."
