Romance RP

Ryan held Lycoris in his arms as she passed out, knowing that the true one was still fighting for control.  He wanted to enter her mind but decided against it, waiting for the head healer to arrive to see what could be done about the situation.

Alex replied, "Perhaps I could help.  I have many friends back home who would love to become acquainted with your daughter.  What was her husband like?"

Nerine approached the couple and as she witnessed Lycoris pass out, she furrowed her eyebrows, a little worried even if she wouldn't admit it.

Soon enough, the head healer arrived and hurriedly approached the couple. As he witnessed Lycoris' state, he asked worriedly,

"What happened?"

Lady Penelope smiled a little and replied, "Dimitri? He was such a sweetheart. Very kind, very generous yet quite brave. He used to love joking and food and his company was always a pleasure to have around. I can see why Anjela loved him so much."

Ryan turned to the head healer and quickly explained how Nerine and Lycoris had gotten into an argument although he left out the details.  Then the other personality threatened to attack Nerine with dark energy balls but Ryan had intervened and then the rest of the events were explained.

After he was done, Ryan asked, "What can we do?  I can tell that our Lycoris is fighting with all her strength to return."

Alex smiled and replied, "He sounds wonderful.  I wish I could have met him.  We could have become friends."

The head healer checked over Lycoris quickly and thinking, he replied,

"I can feel that she is fighting through to get out but she needs support-emotional one. I sense that she's giving it everything she has but someone needs to motivate her. Someone she trusts and believes in; if she can feel support from such a person, that would give her more emotional strength and she may be able to break free."

Lady Penelope nodded with a smile and said, "I am sure of that, darling. You know something, I think you and Dimitri were actually quite similar. You remind me of him, in a way. Same traits and nearly the same personality."

Ryan nodded and replied, "Do you think she would me enter her mind this time?"

He remembered how he was pushed out last time and that was why he was hesitant to use the same idea.

Alex looked curiously at Lady Penelope and replied, "Oh really?  Then he sounds like he was a wonderful man indeed.  No wonder your daughter loved him so."

The head healer replied, "You know the answer to that, sir. I don't exactly understand the troubles between you and the lady but if she still believes that you're a source of strength to her, then she will definitely let you in."

Lady Penelope smiled and nodding, she replied, "She truly did. It's a pity what happened to him...I really want my daughter to move on and try to build her life again with another man. Try to build another family."

Ryan nodded and turning to Lycoris, he replied,

"Angel, if you can hear me, please know that I want you to fight.  I want you to win.  You're in there somewhere and the Lycoris that everyone loves wouldn't want to see anyone hurt.  I'll do what you want as long as you come back.  So I want to enter your mind.  Please give me a sign that it's ok."

Alex nodded and replied, "That would be wonderful.  I know your daughter has suffered a lot but she should try to find happiness again.  There's this saying that even if one door closes, another one opens.  She should try to find another door that can lead to her happiness."

Lycoris gave no reaction to Ryan, as she couldn't hear him, not when she was in the middle of a life or death fight, trying with her every strength to win the battle.

Lady Penelope nodded in agreement and replied, "I agree with you there, darling. Well then, if you say that you have friends who want to get acquainted with my daughter, perhaps you can help her with that when we stay with you at the humans' world? I would really like for her to move on with her life and forget about this whole revenge matter."

Ryan felt a little disheartened as Lycoris didn't give him a sign but not giving up, he held Lycoris in his arms and leaned in for a sweet loving kiss on the lips.  That kiss begged for the real Lycoris to come back, that Ryan would do anything for her, even sacrifice himself for her.

Alex smiled softly and replied, "Sure, I can definitely do that.  I have some friends back home who aren't married and the king and queen know of even more nobles who would love to be acquainted with your daughter."

He paused and then asked, "Would you and your daughter be ok with living in the human world?"

Lycoris could feel Ryan's kiss and although she didn't trust him, at least not like before, that kiss still gave her strength and motivation to fight harder. As Ryan kissed her, her eyes slowly started opening and her hand twitched a bit, as she began to come to.

Lady Penelope smiled and nodding, she replied, "I think so. In any case, I don't think we can return to Cephiron, not after what happened and all. I am fine with settling anywhere as long as my daughter is with me and the humans' world is a beautiful place."

As Ryan continued to kiss Lycoris, he noticed her eyes opening and gently, he broke the kiss.  He gazed at her and gently asked,

"Angel, are you back?  Are you really back this time?"

Alex replied, "I could talk to Sia for you both, ask her for leniency.  But in case that doesn't work, you and your daughter could live in the human world.  I bet the king and queen would even grant you some land and a noble title.  Devenshire is so beautiful and the land is very fertile and lush."

Lycoris opened her eyes completely and woke up although she looked quite weak. Softly, she replied,

"R-Ryan?"

As she slowly began to comprehend things and feel control, she slowly tried to sit up and get away from Ryan's arms although she barely had any strength.

Lady Penelope replied, "I don't think my daughter would like talking to the queen and I don't recommend it but if there's a place for us in the humans' world, we would be very appreciative. And we would be close to family too so we couldn't ask for more."

She smiled kindly at Alex.

Ryan could feel Lycoris trying to sit up so he helped her and gently replied,

"You are back.  I'm so glad.  How do you feel?  The head healer is here so he can check up on you."

Alex returned Lady Penelope's smile and replied, "Of course.  Our king and queen are very kind and generous.  I'll introduce you both to them at the earliest opportunity.  I'd bet they pleased to have either of you serve the court as well.  It's considered a very high honor."

He paused and added, "It's too bad that there isn't a magic academy in the human world like there is here but I bet you could bring the idea up to the king and queen."

Lycoris didn't respond to Ryan right away, but then with a slight frown, she quietly said,  "I-I am pretty weak."

She could barely say anything so the head healer quickly got out a small bottle. Handing it carefully to Lycoris, he said,

"Here, drink this, my lady. It's a special elixir I could finally make yesterday. It's supposed to give you strength for a good amount of time."

Lycoris nodded and then slowly opened the bottle and drank its contents.

Lady Penelope looked a little surprised and replied, "Oh, there isn't a magic academy in the human world? But I think there is a good number of sorcerers back there, isn't there?"

As Lycoris drank the contents from the bottle, Ryan said, "So Lycoris will be able to stay in control for a while?"

Alex nodded and replied, "There are some sorcerers and sorceresses here but not as many as in the gods' world.  So it's not as easy to find them.  A few do serve the royal courts but the remainder keep to themselves.  It's not that magic is hated or anything.  Humans would rather focus their efforts on science, medicine, and technology."

The head healer nodded and replied, "Yes, this will help Lady Lycoris remain in control for at least today. I will do my best to have more of this elixir made and hopefully, keep Lady Lycoris in control for longer periods of time."

Lycoris was done drinking the bottle's contents and handing it back to the head healer, she softly said, "Thanks, sir. I-I do feel slightly better already."

Lady Penelope nodded and replied, "I see. That explains it. In this case, perhaps I can bring up the idea to the king and queen and hopefully, they can agree to it. I wish for magic to be more known among the people and more practiced."

Ryan turned to Lycoris and gently asked, "Do you want to return to your room?  I'll leave you alone even, if that's your wish."

Alex nodded happily and replied, "That sounds like a wonderful idea and who knows?  If the king and queen accept the plan, you could even become the head of the first magic academy in the human world.  That would be quite wonderful."

Lycoris nodded slowly but then softly asked, "N-Nerine...is she ok?"

Nerine heard her and although she was still confused by the whole matter, she replied to her, "I am here and I am fine."

Lycoris was relieved and quietly said, "I-I am sorry for everything I said back there, Nerine. It-it wasn't me, I swear. P-Please forgive me..."

Nerine didn't respond, looking skeptically at her sister.

Lady Penelope smiled happily and replied, "It sure does. I would love to spread the word about magic and discover the hidden talents in the humans' world."

She paused then said, "I heard that my daughter has been teaching you fire magic?"

As Ryan noticed that Nerine didn't reply, he took the time to communicate with her telepathically,

Do you really think that Lycoris would have done all of that just now as an act?  Really?

Alex nodded happily and replied, "Oh yes, she has.  She's a wonderful teacher.  I had no idea that I could learn magic quickly but I'm attributing the results all to her."

Nerine heard Ryan's message but didn't bother to reply, and only looked at him annoyingly. Without saying anything, she left the party, wanting time to comprehend everything she had witnessed just now.

Lycoris heard her leaving and only looked more depressed but didn't say anything.

Lady Penelope giggled happily and replied, "It runs in the family, if I may say. But I am sure you must be quite talented to learn so quickly."

She paused then getting an idea, she asked, "Do you want to learn light and healing magic, too?"

Ryan looked gently at Lycoris and replied, "Nerine just needs time to process everything.  I'm sure she'll talk to you when she's ready.  In the meantime, we should move you to your room so you can rest and the head healer can look after you."

Alex's eyes lit up at the idea and nodding, he replied, "I would love to learn but would it be possible?  Your daughter said that you have the ability to figure out what magical talents I have."

Lycoris only nodded silently and waited for Ryan to help her to her room. She was still quite heartbroken and upset at him, especially as she remembered how nicely and romantically he treated her other self. But she preferred to keep it inside and not say anything, as she didn't want Ryan's health to suffer again.

Lady Penelope nodded and replied, "Oh of course. Stand still, darling."

She cast a spell to figure out what kind of magic Alex could master.

(Ahh I think it was fire and water magic if I remember correctly? XD)

Ryan nodded and gently scooping Lycoris in his arms, he carried her inside the castle and upstairs to her room where she could rest and recover.

Alex did as Lady Penelope told him and stood still while the latter cast a spell to determine what spells he could cast.  As Ryan had already used a similar spell on him and determined that Alex could use fire and water magic, Alex figured that the results would be the same.

The head healer followed the couple as Ryan carried Lycoris to her room and there, he opened the door for them and let them inside. He then helped Ryan make Lycoris more comfortable as he laid her on the bed.

Lycoris remained silent all the while but although she was quite weak, she still looked a lot better than how she was the day before.

Lady Penelope finished casting the spell and looking a bit disappointed, she said, "Not light magic, no."

She paused then smiling, she said, "But you do have a pretty wonderful mix. The ability to cast both fire and water magic: a very rare combination."

After Lycoris was settled on the bed, Ryan turned to her and said, "Now that the head healer gave you something for your strength, you should try to sleep for a bit.  But do you want me to leave you?  I'll just walk around the castle or something if that's what you wish."

Alex smiled softly and replied, "Really?  Those two are like opposites, aren't they?  That's pretty amazing."
