Romance RP

Lycoris didn't say anything for a moment, as she knew that Ryan still cared about the real Lycoris and wouldn't really side with her. She replied,

"There really isn't. I am ok now so don't worry, ok? Did you get enough sleep?"

The shapeshifter frowned sternly at Alex and replied, "No. Just do as I told you and stay here. I'll see what that captain wants and come back."

Although inwardly, she admitted she could use Alex's help and support, there was no way she was going to allow her weakness to appear in front of him or anyone else.

Ryan nodded and replied, "Yeah, I did.  Do you want some more sleep?  You should get as much rest as possible, after all."

Alex sighed and replied, "Are you sure?  If that captain wants you so he can punish you again, there's no way I'm letting him go anywhere near you.  That man just infuriates me so."

He clenched his fists, displaying an unusual amount of anger although it was collected.

Lycoris shook her head and replied, "No, I don't want to sleep anymore. I'm already wide awake."

She paused for a moment then pouting, she said, "But I am hungry. Don't they make lunch around here?"

The shapeshifter was secretly surprised by the amount of anger Alex showed, but deciding to think about that later, she put a hand over his shoulder and said,

"I can take care of myself, you know. Just stay here."

She then took a breath and slowly went outside where the soldier was waiting to take her to the captain.

Ryan chuckled and replied, "Ahh that's right.  Neither of us have eaten today."

He paused and then added, "I would ask one of the soldiers to bring us food but then it would be revealed that I sneaked in here without Sia's permission.  Angel, can you ask one of the soldiers to bring food to you?  I'd have to return to my room.  Or if you want, we could go to the dining room at about the same time and eat together.  There would be no objections to that plan."

Alex looked worried but as the shapeshifter had already left the room, he figured that the best thing he could do was wait for her and hope that she would be all right.

Lycoris thought about their options and then said,

"I really hate having to hide like this so can we go to the dining room? Hopefully, no one is there and we can eat by ourselves peacefully without having to hide anything."

The shapeshifter followed the soldier to where the captain was. The captain was still as furious as ever, and asked the shapeshifter to immediately tell him of her new plans to recapture Lycoris and to work on them right away. Although the shapeshifter had Alex's plan in mind, she couldn't tell the captain of it without revealing Alex's identity, so she told the captain that she had nothing specific in mind yet but she was pondering over things, which only angered the captain further.

Ryan nodded and replied, "Sure, that would be fine."

He gave Lycoris a sweet kiss on the lips and said, "I'll see you soon then, angel."

He teleported back to his room and waited a little bit before he would make his request.

Alex paced back and forth, unable to keep still as he wondered what was going on.  He hoped that the shapeshifter was ok and that the captain wouldn't harm her.

After Ryan left, Lycoris waited patiently until he would leave his room and come escort her to the dining room so they could eat something together.

The captain caught the shapeshifter by the collar and angrily told her that she must have a perfect plan in mind by nightfall, or else he'd punish her severely. As the shapeshifter had no other choice, she agreed, and he threw her away roughly, yelling at her to get out of his sight. Groaning to herself, the shapeshifter got up and left the room, weakly heading back to the building.

After he felt that enough time passed, Ryan opened the door and looking to the soldier on guard, he said,

"I'm feeling a little hungry and I think that Lycoris is, too, since neither of us have eaten today.  So I'd like to pick her up and go to the dining room.  Is that ok?"

Alex continued to pace with worry and looking out the window, he saw that the shapeshifter was returning.  He hurriedly left the building and ran over to the shapeshifter to take her back inside, seeing as how weak she appeared.

The soldier bowed to Ryan and nodding, he replied immediately,

"Oh of course, sir. You and Lady Lycoris are completely free to move around as you like."

The shapeshifter frowned slightly as she saw Alex rushing to her and trying to keep up her usual strong front, she quietly said to him,

"You could have waited inside, you know. No need to rush like that."

Ryan smiled at the soldier and replied, "Thank you, sir.  If anyone asks, please let them know that Lycoris and I are getting something to eat."

He then made his way to Lycoris' room and after nodding to the soldiers, he knocked on the door and said,

"Lycoris, are you awake?"

Alex smiled a bit and as he took her inside the building, he replied quietly,

"I couldn't help it.  I thought the captain did horrible things and if he had, I would have rushed in immediately.  You don't have to face him by yourself, you know."

Lycoris heard Ryan's voice on the other side of the door and as she was ready, she got up and carefully walked to the door, opening it. She smiled softly to Ryan and said,

"I definitely am, my Ryan. I missed you so much."

The shapeshifter was silent for a moment and replied, "I do. The captain wouldn't risk killing me but with you, it's a different story and..."

Although she wished to say more, she couldn't, as she felt her sight getting quite blurry and herself getting quite dizzy although she did her best to remain composed.

Ryan smiled back at Lycoris and replied, "Me, too, angel.  You know, I realized that we haven't eaten anything today so do you want to go to the dining room and get some lunch?"

Alex could feel the shapeshifter getting weaker and without saying anything, he carried her in his arms and took her inside the building.  There, he gently placed her on the couch and said,

"You should rest.  That captain hurt you again, didn't he?"

He felt that same anger rise in him again.

Lycoris nodded happily and replied, "Yes, that's a nice idea and you came just in time, you know. I am really hungry right now so lunch sounds great."

She extended her hand for Ryan to take and escort her to the dining room.

The shapeshifter took her breathes and couldn't help but chuckle faintly. She quietly said,

"You're really the gentleman, aren't you? Getting angry at the captain for hurting me and wanting to protect me. Considering that you're a noble, I am not exactly surprised."

Ryan happily held Lycoris' hand and escorted her to the dining room.  As they walked, he said,

"The soldier outside of my door told me that we're free to move about the castle as we please.  I suppose it's only that we're supposed to have separate rooms for the time being."

Alex blushed deeply and replied, "Oh, um, well, it feels natural for me to want to protect you."

He reached out to gently stroke the shapeshifter's hair, looking at her with tender, caring eyes.

Lycoris replied, "Well, at least there's a solution for us to overcome that nevertheless. And we don't have to be in our rooms all the time, you know. I do want to enjoy my time with you to the fullest after all."

She winked and letting go of his hand, she held his arm close lovingly.

The shapeshifter blushed herself at seeing Alex's look although she did her best to remain composed, but it was as though her weakness made her softer. Turning her gaze slightly away, she replied quietly,

"It shouldn't be though. I kidnapped you after all, and I am pulling you through a lot of troubles. I'd imagine that you'd resent me, might even want to hurt me."

Ryan chuckled softly and replied, "Yes, me, too."

The couple finally reached the dining room and after helping Lycoris into an empty seat, he asked one of the maids if the cooks could prepare some lunch for the two of them.

Alex looked thoughtful and replied, "I should but I don't.  I'm not angry at you.  I don't think I ever could be."

He looked over the shapeshifter to see if there were any apparent injuries on her.

The maid went right away to prepare lunch for them both. As the couple awaited their food to be served, Lycoris happily said,

"It's good that we're alone. I don't want anyone else to be with us this very moment."

The shapeshifter had no apparent injuries, but her biggest problem was her aching heart, which was slowly draining strength out of her especially after the captain's blow right at it.

She gazed at Alex carefully for a moment after hearing his answer before taking a breath and murmuring, "You're really strange. I can't figure you out."

Ryan smiled softly and replied, "I like spending this time with you, angel.  I guess no one else is here because we're eating at an unusual time but no matter."

Alex looked curiously at the shapeshifter and innocently replied, "What do you mean?  Am I a mystery to you for some reason?"

Lycoris shrugged and replied, "Who cares, right? All the better for us actually."

The maids soon returned with food and laid it out in front of the couple before bowing and taking their leave.

The shapeshifter replied quietly, "Maybe? I have never met anyone like you at least. You're too kind, almost to the point of being naive but you aren't actually naive. You're capable of getting angry as well but not at everyone. Like you hate that captain but you don't hate me even though I am seemingly helping him, maybe for a different purpose but we're aiming after the same goal. Confusing, isn't it?"

After the maids left, Ryan said,

"Lunch looks delicious and we're both starving so we should eat."

He waited for Lycoris to take the first bite before he would do so.

Alex chuckled quietly and replied, "I suppose so.  I never really looked at myself like that before."

Lycoris activated her bracelet and then took the fire bite of her food. She replied happily,

"Yum, this is very delicious. So much better than the food they used to serve us in that dreaded place."

The shapeshifter didn't say anything but continued taking her breathes, trying to steady her heart pulse and have it go back to normal although it was doing little work. She quietly said,

"I can tell you didn't get enough rest so you might go ahead now. I doubt anyone is coming anytime soon."

Ryan replied, "The food here does taste much better but perhaps that's because we're free now."

He took his fork and he continued to eat his food happily.

Alex shook his head and replied, "I'll be fine so I'll stay up and keep watch.  I'm not going to allow anyone to harm you while I'm here."

(I wonder if the shapeshifter's husband was like Alex.  XD)

Lycoris nodded happily and replied, "That could be another reason."

She continued eating her food happily, enjoying its taste and Ryan's company and mostly because they were all alone.

(You can say that they were quite similar although the shapeshifter's husband was a bit snobby in the beginning but changed after marriage and became a lot kinder. XD)

The shapeshifter sighed and replied, "I told you, I doubt anyone is coming anymore. No need to be so protective, ok? You know how strong I am so I can take care of myself, certainly."

As the couple continued to eat, he asked, "So after lunch, what would you like to do?  We could rest some more or we could spend some time in the gardens or explore the library.  I'm open to suggestions."

(Ahh I see.  XD)

Alex nodded and replied, "Ok."

He paused and then said, "What did the captain want anyway?  Did he only want to punish you?  That man infuriates me as it is."

Lycoris looked thoughtful then happily said, "Let's go to the gardens. It's been a while since we've enjoyed their beautiful, hasn't it? And maybe we can run around and play."

The shapeshifter shook her head and after a moment of silence, she said,

"You shouldn't consider what he did punishment. He wants a ready plan to recapture Lycoris by nightfall. If we don't come up with that, then the punishment will happen."
