Romance RP

Alex replied, "Oh she had to return to her usual job in Cephiron.  I believe she's a teacher at the magic academy there."

Ryan's interest perked upon hearing Alex's comment and replied, "That's interesting.  I wonder if either Duchess Irene or Lady Penelope would know her."

Lycoris was interested as well and replied, "I am sure they would. She sounds powerful from what Alex told us so she must be pretty well-known. Do you know what magic she teaches, Alex?"

Alex replied, "I'm not entirely sure but I think she teaches light magic and healing magic?  They're different magic fields from what the shapeshifter specializes in."

Ryan furrowed his eyebrows and he couldn't help thinking that it sounded like Lady Penelope.

(I don't remember if Lady Penelope or the shapeshifter ever mentioned to Alex what magic Lady Penelope specializes in.  lol)

(Ahh yup, she told him. XD)

Lycoris looked curious and replied, "Really? Then Lady Penelope might know her for sure. She's the head of the light magic department in the academy after all so she would know all the teachers working under her. Don't you agree, Ryan?"

(Ahh ok.  XD)

Ryan nodded and replied, "Yes, that's true although there is another possibility.  What if the shapeshifter's mother is Lady Penelope?  Alex, how you described her sounds a lot like Lady Penelope.  She was our light magic teacher back when we were taking lessons at the castle."

Alex looked surprised and replied, "Really?  But she never mentioned anything about that.  I don't know."

Lycoris was surprised as well by what Ryan said and replied,

"What? But-but why would she agree to teach us light magic then? That doesn't make much sense, Ryan. Just-just because she knows light magic as well doesn't mean she's Lady Penelope."

Although she inwardly admitted that Ryan was right and they sounded a lot similar, she didn't want to believe it, as she didn't want to be disappointed in yet someone else she trusted.

Ryan thought about it for a moment and then replied, "Perhaps that's true.  I can't just assume that Lady Penelope is the shapeshifter's mother.  But to be safe, I could inquire Duchess Irene about it and see if she can quietly investigate the matter."

He turned to Alex and asked, "You won't say anything, will you?  At least not until we have this checked out."

Alex nodded and replied, "I can keep quiet."

Lycoris nodded and said,

"I hope whatever thoughts we have about this are not true. Or-or maybe, even if she happens to be the shapeshifter's mother, she still mean us any harm. I mean, she used to teach us light magic after all and was quite friendly to us, right?"

Ryan nodded and turning to Lycoris, he replied, "Yes, that's right, angel.  Let's hope for the best."

He turned to Alex and said, "I wish to contact Sia and Duchess Irene and let them know what's going on but before I do so, do you want me to tell them about you being here?"

Alex shook his head and replied, "I think it's better to keep my presence quiet.  My darling knows what's going on but only she does.  The shapeshifter said that she'll come up with a plausible excuse for my absence.  Speaking of which, she's actually headed to the castle now to do some spying.  She wants to know what's going on."

Lycoris was surprised to hear that the shapeshifter went to do some spying on the others and thinking of something, she addressed Ryan as she said,

"Ryan, she might find out that they're searching for us. Do you think she could do anything?"

Ryan frowned and replied, "I don't know but if she finds out that I had been communicating with Duchess Irene and Sia..."

He looked troubled and added, "I need to contact them now before the shapeshifter can suspect anything."

He looked to Alex and asked, "Alex, can you watch over Lycoris while I make contact with the others?"

Alex nodded and replied, "Of course."

Ryan turned to Lycoris and asked, "You'll be ok, right?  I won't be long.  I just need to warn Sia and Duchess Irene about what's going to happen."

Lycoris nodded and replied, "Ok, take your time and do so quickly. You'll be in trouble if she found out anything."

Ryan nodded and using his telepathy, he reached out to Duchess Irene and said,

Duchess Irene, it's Ryan.  Are you at the castle with Sia?  I don't have long to talk but I must warn you of something quickly.

Irene was surprised as she heard Ryan and replied,

I am not at the castle, Ryan. I'm at the academy but what's wrong? Is everything ok?

Ryan replied,

Lycoris and I are fine but we just got information that the shapeshifter is going to the castle to spy on what's going on.  I fear what'll happen if she finds out that I've been communicating with you.  We have to make things seem otherwise, especially for Lycoris' safety.


(Getting sleepy here so I'll get off for the night now and go to sleep.  I'll check back tomorrow after I return from work and all.  Nite, nite, Love.  ^^)

Irene furrowed her eyebrows and replied,

I see. I'll let Sia know. I'll contact her right away so that she's on guard. The shapeshifter shouldn't find out anything about your communications or our search attempts.

Ryan replied,

Thank you.  I'll go now but I'll contact you again soon, either later this afternoon or before we turn in for the night.

Irene replied,

Alright. Thank you again, Ryan. I'll tell Sia everything right now. Talk to you later.

She then shut off the telepathy and contacted Lisianthus to let her know of what Ryan told her.

Ryan turned to Lycoris and Alex and said, "Ok, I talked to Duchess Irene and she's going to let Sia know what's happening so everything will appear normal."

Alex replied, "That's a relief."

Lycoris looked relieved as well and replied, "I'm glad. I don't want you to be in trouble, Ryan."

She paused then addressing Alex, she smiled softly and said, "Thanks for telling us about this, Alex."

Alex smiled softly and replied, "No problem."

He paused and then asked, "Since I'm here, is there anything either of you want to ask me?"

Ryan looked to Lycoris, allowing her to ask questions first.

Lycoris had a question on her mind and tentatively, she asked,

"Umm you're regularly in contact with Nerine, right? How is she? Is-is she ok and happy now?"

Alex replied, "Ahh she's all right.  She's safe and that's what's most important to me.  As for her happiness, well, she isn't happy that I'm staying here with the shapeshifter.  I would return to my darling but I did make a promise to the shapeshifter and her mother.  If her mother would return, though, perhaps then I could leave.  But Nerine's ok and she's safe."

Lycoris was glad to know that Nerine was fine and safe although she didn't like the bit of hearing that Nerine wasn't happy. She nodded and replied,

"Please try to please her as much as you can, Alex. I know you want to keep your promise and look out for the shapeshifter but Nerine deserves that you give her attention. She needs to be happy at last."

Alex sighed and replied, "You're right and I do want to return to my darling as soon as I can but it's hard to leave right now.  Also, I'm learning magic as well and I don't want to lose the opportunity."

Ryan asked, "Are you learning magic from the shapeshifter?"

Alex nodded and replied, "Yeah, I am.  She's a pretty good teacher but she says that I'm a fast learner so I guess it works out."
