Romance RP

Lycoris smiled a bit and nodding, she started eating her food. It helped her get a little strength, which she needed.

The shapeshifter shook her head and replied, "I have no time to do that today. I'm heading to the castle. I haven't been there in a while and I want to know what that queen and the ones around her are up to."

Ryan ate as well, enjoying the food and more so Lycoris' company, as he was happy that she seemed well again.  He hoped that things would end happily for them despite the odds.

Alex nodded and replied, "I see but will you be back this evening?"

He looked curiously at the shapeshifter, wondering how long such a trip would take.

The couple continued having their lunch and enjoying it, and Lycoris was soon all done eating, feeling full. Although she was still pretty weak physically, her emotional state was better after Ryan chose to side with her and remain by her side.

The shapeshifter rolled her eyes and nodding, she replied, "Yes, I'll be back this evening. This is what shapeshifting and teleporting are for. They make distances a lot shorter."

Ryan soon finished his meal as well and seeing that Lycoris was already done, he asked,

"Are you full, my angel, or would you like more?  I can ask one of the soldiers to get us more food if you're still hungry."

Alex chuckled and replied, "Ahh yes, that's true.  I guess I'm still more used to non-magical ways of getting from one place to another."

Lycoris shook her head and smiling softly, she replied, "No, I'm full, thanks, Ryan. The food was pretty delicious and it was plenty."

The shapeshifter had her eyebrow raised and although she didn't reply right away, she said,

"You should get used to your magical powers already and making use of them. I am not teaching you just so that you can practice them in front of me."

Ryan nodded and replied, "All right."

He got up and took the tray back to the table.  Then he returned to Lycoris' side and wrapping his arms around her, he asked,

"What do you want to do now?"

Alex nodded and smiling warmly, he replied, "Yes, I understand."

He winked at her and added, "It doesn't hurt to lighten up every once in a while."

Lycoris laid her head on Ryan's shoulder and replied, "There isn't much to do here, is there? So can I just enjoy your company like this?"

The shapeshifter was surprised by Alex's comment and there was even a slight blush over her face, but then she quickly and firmly replied, "None of your business, human."

She got up and said, "I'll get going now. You head right away to the two and remain with them, understood?"

Ryan smiled softly and replied, "Of course, my angel.  There is no company I'd rather have than yours."

He kept his arms around Lycoris, enjoying her warmth and closeness.

Alex got up and nodding, he replied, "Ok then.  I'll see you later."

He nodded his head to her and then left the room, heading to Lycoris' and Ryan's room right away.

Lycoris smiled softly as well and cuddled close to Ryan, getting as much warmth as she could from him.

The shapeshifter left the room as well, heading to outside as she prepared to go to the castle to spy on the party there.

Alex continued on his way until he reached the door to Lycoris' and Ryan's room.  He gave the soldiers on guard a brief nod and then knocked on the door.

Meanwhile, Ryan heard the door and getting up, he opened it, relieved that it was Alex.  He allowed him entrance and then shut the door behind him.  Returning to Lycoris' side, Ryan said,

"It's Alex, angel."

Alex took off his hood and looking at Lycoris, he asked, "How are you?  Did you have lunch?"

Lycoris smiled faintly to Alex and nodding, she said,

"Yes, I did and I am a bit better now. Are you going to be the one staying with us, Alex?"

Alex nodded and replied, "Yes, at least until evening.  I talked to the shapeshifter earlier and we agreed that I'll watch over you in the mornings and afternoons and she'll do so in the evenings.  Is that ok with both of you?"

Ryan nodded and replied, "That arrangement is fine with me."

Lycoris nodded and replied, "Yes, it's ok with me as well. Thank you for going through the trouble, Alex and I'll thank her as well. I appreciate that both of you are trying to protect me from the captain."

Alex smiled a little and replied, "No problem.  I wish there was a way to make sure that the captain wouldn't come here at all but that can't be prevented so at least our presence should help."

He paused and asked, "Lycoris, do you need anything?  You are like a special guest here so you can request whatever your heart desires-well, almost anything."

Lycoris shook her head and was about to reply negatively when something occurred to her. Tentatively, she replied,

"Umm there might be something although I am not sure if it's possible but...I saw really beautiful gardens outside when we first came here. Is it ok if I check them out one time at least? I-I really want to take a closer look at them and umm, the fresh air might help me."

Alex looked thoughtful and replied, "Hmm, I think it should be all right if it's just one time.  The shapeshifter does want your recovery to go well and I'll be with you both so I can take any responsibility and such.  Would you like to go out now?"

Lycoris was glad that Alex agreed but although she wanted to check out the gardens right away, she really had no strength at all. So she smiled a bit and replied,

"Tomorrow, maybe? I'm just really tired at the moment. But hopefully, I am more rested tomorrow and we can all go. Thanks a lot, Alex."

Alex smiled softly and replied, "No problem.  I'll have a chance to talk with the shapeshifter later today and we can find a time when the three of us can go to the gardens.  You definitely should check them out at least once.  They're quite beautiful."

He paused and then asked, "Is there anything else you'd like?"

Ryan replied, "If it's possible, are there any books?  I'd like to read to Lycoris.  I know how much she enjoys that."

Alex nodded and replied, "I can ask.  The shapeshifter is more familiar with this temple than I am so she'll know if there's a library stocked with books."

Lycoris liked the idea of having books as well as she liked it when Ryan read to her and nodding, she said, "That would be great. It would help a lot to pass the time here and find something to do."

Alex nodded and replied, "Ok then."

He paused and then said, "I'm glad that you're feeling better, Lycoris.  I was so worried before and the shapeshifter was, too.  She probably won't say this herself but I'm sure she feels bad about what the bracelet did to you before."

Lycoris was a bit surprised to hear what Alex said and smiling a bit, she replied, "Really?"

She paused then said, "What's the shapeshifter like, Alex? You must have to deal with her a lot now so you're close to her, right? Is she a good person?"

Alex looked thoughtful and replied, "I believe she's a good person.  She's been through quite a bit of personal tragedy so that's why she can come off seeming angry at times but I know that inside, she is a kind person.  I guess that's part of the reason I agreed to stay behind although I did make a promise to her mother as well to watch out for her and I didn't want to back out on my word."

Lycoris nodded in understanding and after a moment of silence, she replied, "I am hoping that when she comes here to stay with us during evenings, I can talk to her and get to know her better. She's my sister after all, right? So we should be good friends."

Alex smiled softly and replied, "Yes, that's right and I think she could use as many friends as possible.  Her mother told me that she used to be like me but she changed."

Ryan asked, "Alex, what is her mother like?"

Alex then described Lady Penelope's personality to Ryan and Lycoris, admiring how much she liked her and had gotten close to her while she stayed with him.

Lycoris listened as Alex described Lady Penelope's personality and smiling softly, she said,

"She sounds like a really kind woman. I wish I could meet her sometime. Where's she, by the way? Why hasn't she shown up at all so far?"
