Romance RP

Ryan continued to kiss Lycoris with all the love and passion in his heart and as he did so, he could feel that Lycoris' usual self was returning.  Taking that opportunity, he gently placed the bracelet on her wrist, knowing that her usual self wouldn't have any problems with it.

As Lycoris kissed Ryan, she could feel him placing the bracelet on her wrist and she didn't resist, for she didn't mind it and knew it was for the best. However, as the bracelet started taking effect, Lycoris suddenly dropped in Ryan's arms although she was still awake, she had trouble breathing and felt all her strength failing her.

Ryan was alarmed as Lycoris suddenly felt weak in his arms and thinking of the only thing he could do, he called out to the shapeshifter for help.

Meanwhile, Alex heard Ryan's call and turning to the shapeshifter, he said, "There must be trouble.  We have to go in."

The shapeshifter nodded and immediately rushed into the room. She saw Lycoris weak in Ryan's arms and looking as though she were fighting for air and the bracelet on her wrist. She asked,

"What happened here?"

Ryan replied, "I was able to calm Lycoris down and I put the bracelet on her but as soon as I did, she started getting weak.  It's not supposed to do this, is it?"

Alex looked alarmed and turning to the shapeshifter, he said,

"Perhaps we should take the bracelet off of her until we can think of an alternative."

The shapeshifter was surprised by this but nodding, she approached Lycoris and took the bracelet off of her. The moment she did so, color began returning to Lycoris' face and she coughed as her breathing was returning to normal.

The shapeshifter was relieved although she couldn't figure out why the bracelet caused her this.

Ryan gently laid Lycoris on the bed, propping the pillow so her head would be slightly elevated.  He looked at Lycoris with worry in his eyes and said,

"Angel, are you ok now?"

Alex looked on as well, hoping that Lycoris' health would get better soon.

Lycoris didn't reply right away as she took her breathes but then she smiled faintly and nodding, she replied,

"I am better now. Sorry for worrying you all."

The shapeshifter was thoughtfully silent meanwhile then said, "Could this have to do with her powers connected to her soul and all that? So when the bracelet worked, it affected her soul as well?"

Ryan looked on thoughtfully and nodding slowly, he replied, "It is quite possible.  When I performed that duplicate spell on Lycoris, I had no idea it would created a major side effect.  On any other magic user, it would have worked as usual."

Alex looked to the shapeshifter and quietly asked, "What should we do now?"

The shapeshifter sighed and replied, "I don't know."

She was thoughtful although she couldn't figure something out. Lycoris looked apologetic and replied quietly,

"I'm sorry. This is my fault. You all want me to get better in order to transfer the powers and I want that as well but in order to do so, I have to sleep and sleeping makes my other side stronger, who doesn't want to be cooperative. This is all very complicated. I am truly sorry."

Ryan furrowed his eyebrows and remembering something, he turned to Lycoris and said,

"When I entered your mind before, I think I was able to calm your other side down.  Of course, now she doesn't trust me but I wonder.  If I can keep her occupied while you sleep, would that help?  Would you be able to retain control?  That would mean I'd have to be on a different sleep schedule but if it's to help you, I'd be willing to do that."

Lycoris was thoughtful and replied, "I am not sure as she'll be aware of what we're doing and I fear that she might try to hurt you. But I think it's worth a try. I-I mean, we have no other solutions at the moment."

Ryan nodded and turning to the shapeshifter, he asked, "What do you think?  I know it would be a risk since I would have to be allowed to use my magic again but I'm staying by Lycoris' side and I won't do anything to betray her.  And as we know from before, I seem to be the only one who can enter her mind."

The shapeshifter was hesitant, as she didn't trust Ryan. But as she couldn't think of anything else, she had no choice. So reluctantly, she replied,

"Alright, human. I'll give you that but I swear, if you try to do anything or escape, I won't have any mercy on either of you."

Ryan nodded and replied, "I understand."

Although he was actually free to use his magic again, the bracelet appeared as though his powers were still restricted.  He turned to Lycoris and asked,

"When do you want me to try entering your mind?  Tonight as you sleep or do you want me to try it now?"

Lycoris replied, "Let's wait until tonight. Let me calm down for now. I'm really exhausted."

The shapeshifter approached Ryan and took off his bracelet meanwhile, unaware that it had no effect on him.
