Romance RP

Ryan quickly washed up and changed into a pair of pajamas.  He then left the bathroom and put away his clothes.  Returning to Lycoris' side, he laid down next to her and said,

"I'm all done, my angel."

He reached out to gently pet the puppies.

Lycoris smiled softly as Ryan returned and then gently laid the puppies at the foot of the bed, petting them and said,

"Good night, little ones. See you in the morning."

She then returned to Ryan's side and said, "You should get some sleep as well now."

Ryan replied, "I suppose but you won't be lonely staying up while the rest of us sleep?"

He was worried that Lycoris would become extremely tired from forcing herself to stay up and he worried that her health might suffer because of it.

Lycoris shook her head and smiling softly, she said,

"I'll be fine and don't worry, I won't be lonely. I'll be feeling your presence and that will be enough for me, you know."

Ryan smiled softly and replied, "Ok, if you say so.  If you need me for anything, like to make more coffee, just wake me up.  I'll never mind my angel rousing me from my slumber."

Lycoris smiled a little more and reaching out to caress Ryan's cheek gently, she said, "I'll do so. Now get some sleep, ok? And I'll be watching you to protect you and make sure you get a peaceful sleep."

Ryan nodded and replied, "Ok.  Good night then, my angel, and see you tomorrow."

He gave Lycoris a kiss on each cheek and after putting his head on the pillow, he closed his eyes, soon falling asleep.

After Ryan had fallen asleep, Lycoris remained awake by his side, caressing his hair gently and hoping he would get a restful sleep. Although she was quite tired, her head was full of thoughts and it helped her remain awake.

(I wonder what Lycoris' other self would think about Duke Collins.  I'm curious as to how she would deal with him.  XD)

Although Ryan slept, his mind was plagued with nightmares.  He kept tossing and turning and muttering words like "please don't go" and "I'll protect you."  There were a few tears as well that came from his eyes although he wasn't aware of them.

(Hmm well, even Lycoris' other self is in love with Ryan so she would refuse his advances. However, she'd stand up to him more and face him directly. XD)

Lycoris was worried as she felt Ryan tossing and turning and could tell he was having nightmares. Doing her best to comfort him, she caressed his hair and cheeks gently, softly saying,

"Please, please calm down. I'm here for you."

(I see.  I kind of want to see that happen.  XD)

As though he could Lycoris' words and feel her caresses, he calmed down and softly muttered,

"I love you, angel.  Please promise me that you'll never leave me.  You make me the happiest man ever."

(lol It would be interesting to witness for sure and I'd like to see Ryan's reaction then. XD)

Although Lycoris wanted to give Ryan that promise, she didn't want to be giving him false hopes. So continuing to caress him, she softly said,

"And I love you too, Ryan. I love you now and I'll love you forever."

(Well, I can guess that Ryan would blush very deeply at that.  XD  He likes Lycoris' other self although it takes him some time to get used to seeing a bolder, more aggressive side to her.)

Ryan felt a little better upon hearing Lycoris' words but as she hadn't promised me, he replied,

"Then don't leave me.  I'll be lost without my angel to guide me to the light."

(I see. XD So if Ryan had to choose between the two sides to take permanent control, who would he choose? XD)

Although Lycoris didn't want to say anything she wouldn't do, she thought it wouldn't hurt to just say those words to help him sleep better. She softly said,

"I'm here...I'll be always here."

(Hmm, that's hard to say.  Ryan wishes that sometimes Lycoris would be bolder like her other self but I don't know if he'd want that to be permanent.  XD)

Ryan smiled softly and cuddling closer to Lycoris, he replied,

"Thank you, my angel.  I'm happy that you'll never leave me.  I love you so much, for all time and even after that."

(I see. XD Maybe the original Lycoris can learn how to be a bit bolder and stand up to herself more. XD)

Lycoris was glad that Ryan became calmer although she wished it could have happened without having to lie to him. She continued caressing his hair gently although she didn't say anything, hoping that Ryan would enjoy a more peaceful sleep now.

(Yup, yup.  XD)

Ryan continued to sleep peacefully for the rest of the night, feeling Lycoris' warmth nearby.  There were no more nightmares and he had this loving smile on his face as he continued to cuddle closely to her.

Lycoris watched over Ryan for the rest of the night and was glad he could get some rest. As the night wore on, she was getting more and more tired although she was able to remain awake. She hoped that the exchange would happen today and everything would go smoothly, for how longer she would be able to hang on.

The next morning, Ryan woke up a little after the sun rose and upon his vision clearing, he gazed at Lycoris and sleepily said,

"Good morning, my angel.  Did I sleep ok last night?"

Lycoris smiled softly as she heard Ryan's voice and replied,

"Good morning, Ryan. Well, umm, truthfully, you were a bit restless in the beginning but you were more peaceful after that. How are you feeling?"

Ryan sat up and replied, "I feel all right.  Did I have nightmares again last night?  I must have troubled you.  I'm sure you didn't want to have to worry about me."

Lycoris quickly shook her head and replied,

"Don't say that. I was worried about you but I did my best to calm you down and I am glad it worked in the end and you were able to sleep fine. I want you happy and rested always."

Ryan smiled and replied, "You always make me happy, my angel, but how can I feel otherwise?"

He reached out to gently touch her cheeks, his eyes full of love and care for her.

Lycoris couldn't help but blush deeply but she shyly replied,

"I'm glad I could make you feel this way, Ryan. I don't deny that I felt quite worried when you were having nightmares. I wanted to comfort you in anyway."

As though he realized something, he quietly asked, "What if I have nightmares again?  I didn't know that I had them until you told me."

He realized that Lycoris leaving meant that there would be no one who could comfort him, no one he was sure would be able to do so.
