Romance RP

Ryan continued to sleep, and this time, his dreams were not as filled with nightmares.  However, he muttered words such as,

"I'll get Alex and Nerine back for you, my angel.  Then you'll wake up and be well, and we can live happily together."

Irene and the head healer were eventually done preparing lunch for everyone, and Irene prepared a tray full of delicious food for Ryan so he could get as much energy as possible. She also prepared food for the little puppies.

The head healer offered to carry the tray upstairs and he did so, then knocked on the door gently, wondering if Ryan were awake.

Although Ryan slept, he could hear a faint knocking on the door.  Slowly, he opened his eyes and getting up, he walked over to the door so he could open it.  He didn't wish to wake Lycoris by calling out to whomever was on the other side so he opted to open the door instead.

There, he saw the head healer carrying a tray of food and wiping the sleepiness from his eyes, he said,

"Hi.  Is it lunchtime already?"

The head healer smiled to Ryan and nodding, he replied,

"Hello, sir. Yes, it's lunchtime now. I'm sorry if I disturbed you but I am sure you need the food for a good recovery. It will help you feel better, I am sure and then you can go back to sleep."

Ryan nodded and replied, "Yes, that's true.  I need all the strength I can get so I can help with the plan to get Alex and Nerine back.  Then Lycoris will be better."

He looked at the tray and asked, "Did you and Duchess Irene prepare all of this?  It looks delicious."

The head healer nodded and replied, "Yes, Duchess Irene is a talented cook but I did my best to help out. We also brought food for the little puppies."

He had noticed Ryan's comment about Lycoris getting better if Alex and Nerine were back and although he was a little concerned that Ryan might be having too much hope, he didn't comment.

Ryan smiled softly and replied, "That was very thoughtful of you both."

The puppies jumped off of the bed and then took their place on the floor, waiting for their food.  Ryan helped to place the bowls of puppy food and water on the floor and then he took a seat at the table where he could have his lunch while watching over Lycoris.

As Ryan took the tray from him, the head healer then bowed and said, "Please enjoy your lunch, sir. I'll come back later to pick up the tray and also check over the lady. Please excuse me."

He then left the room, heading downstairs so he could have lunch as well with Duchess Irene.

After the head healer left, Ryan proceeded to eat his lunch.  He felt motivated to get better for Lycoris' sake.  The puppies ate as well, and soon all three of them were done with their lunch.  Ryan got up and picked up the empty bowls from the floor and placed them back on the tray.  

The puppies then resumed their place at the foot of the bed, and Ryan laid down beside Lycoris, wrapping his arms around her although he didn't fall back asleep.  As the head healer said that he would check up on Lycoris, he wanted to wait for him to do so before going back to sleep.

Irene and the head healer soon finished having lunch and as Irene began cleaning up, the head healer went upstairs back to the couple's room. He knocked on it and after Ryan gave him permission to enter, he said,

"Hello again, sir. I'm here to check on the lady and see how she's faring."

He then approached Lycoris and examined her, hoping their were any signs of recovery.

Ryan observed as the head healer examined Lycoris and didn't say anything, as he didn't wish to disturb his concentration.  The puppies looked on as well, hoping that Lycoris was feeling better.

(Man, I do hope that Lycoris does recover somehow.  O.O)

(Me, too although it could take some time and all. O.O)

The head healer soon finished examining Lycoris but there was a sad and a disappointed look over his face. Sighing, he turned to Ryan and said,

"I'm sorry, sir. I'd hoped that the lady would start showing any signs of survival of either her mind or her subconscious but things are the same as ever...There-there's no sign of either."

Ryan looked saddened and replied, "I see but she isn't getting any worse, right?"

He felt that as long as Lycoris' condition wasn't worsened, there was still hope that she could recover in time.

(Getting sleepy here so I'll get off for the night now and go to sleep.  I'll check back tomorrow and post again.  Nite, nite, Love.  ^^)

The head healer frowned slightly and replied, "She mustn't get any worse, sir. The only way she would get worse would be if she stopped breathing. That...that would mean that her body is terminating itself if it finds that there's nothing there to control it."

He paused but then quickly said, "But we mustn't lose hope, sir. I am sure she will recover and be better. We just have to be patient and pray for her."

Ryan nodded and replied, "Yes, that's right.  I wish there was something I could do to help my angel directly.  But for now, I'll continue with our plan to get Alex and Nerine back.  It's what she would want."

He reached out and gently caressed Lycoris' cheeks, gazing at her with such love and care but sadness at the same time.

The head healer looked sadly at the couple as Ryan caressed Lycoris' cheeks, truly hoping for Lycoris to get better for nothing more than that those two deserved to be happy.

He replied, "Yes, I agree, sir. Perhaps some good news would reach out to the lady and help her recover."

He paused then said, "I know that you need to continue resting, sir, so I'll be taking my leave. Do you need anything?"

Ryan shook his head and replied, "No, I'm fine.  Thank you for bringing us lunch and please thank Duchess Irene for me, too."

The puppies looked up happily at the head healer although they didn't bark, as they thought that doing so would wake up Lycoris.

(I'll be going to work a little later but I'll be back this evening so I can post more then.  ^^)

The head healer smiled to Ryan and replied, "You're most welcome, sir. Please excuse me."

He petted the puppies gently then bowing, he took the tray from the table and left the room.

(Back and free now.  XD)

After the head healer left, Ryan turned to the puppies and said, "I'll get some more rest but you two can do as you please, ok?"

The puppies immediately laid down at the foot of the bed, protecting the couple.  Ryan smiled and laid down next to Lycoris, wrapping his arms around her waist in a protective hug.  He gazed at her and softly said,

"I hope you wake up soon, my angel.  I wish to see the life return in your eyes."

He leaned in to give her a soft sweet kiss on the lips and then placed his head on the pillow, soon falling asleep.

(Welcome back. I just returned now as well. XD)

The head healer went downstairs and along with Irene, they took care of cleaning up and such. As they were free, Irene contacted Lisianthus once more to keep her updated, especially as the latter was quite worried about Ryan especially.

(Coolies.  Welcome back.  ^^)

Meanwhile, Ryan continued to sleep peacefully with Lycoris in his arms.  He hoped that his presence somehow would comfort and soothe her and hopefully, she would awaken and be full of life once more.

(Since we haven't gotten to Alex and Nerine for a while now, I hope it's ok that we resume their part.  XD)

The next morning, Alex woke up a little after sunrise.  He glanced at Nerine and smiled softly, observing her as she slept peacefully next to him.  He wondered what the day would bring and hoped that they would soon be free of their prison.

(Ahh yup, that's fine. XD You can wake Ryan up whenever you feel like it, meanwhile while assuming that Irene and the head healer are downstairs. XD)

A little later after Alex had woken up, Nerine opened her eyes and woke up as well. Seeing Alex already up and awake, she smiled softly to him and said,

"Good morning, Alex. I hope you slept well."

(Ok, sounds good.  XD)

Alex nodded happily and replied, "Yup, I sure did, especially with you beside me."

He reached out to touch Nerine's left cheek and then asked, "Did you sleep well last night, darling?"

Nerine nodded happily and replied, "Yes, I sure did. It was a peaceful night especially that you were by my side, Alex. I can always sleep well when you're nearby."

She smiled softly and then looking thoughtful, she said, "I wonder what today will bring. I hope we can be free soon."

Alex nodded and replied, "Me, too."

He sat up on the bed and then added, "I want you to be free especially, darling.  Even though our accommodations are better than before, we're still technically prisoners."
