Ryan added, "It was such a wonderful day and the more so because I got to take my angel here for the first time."

The wife smiled softly and replied, "Aww you two are so sweet together."

The farmer added, "I agree.  We're closing up here but as promised, we set aside a bunch of our best apple tarts just for you two."

The farmer handed Ryan a parcel containing warm delicious apple tarts and Ryan replied, "Thank you very much, sir, ma'am."

Lycoris bowed politely to the farmer and his wife and smiling, she replied,

"Thank you a lot, sir, ma'am. It was such a pleasure to meet you and congratulations once more."

She waited until Ryan had said his farewells as well and then the couple went back to Robert, got on it and started going back home.

As Ryan directed Robert to head on back home, Ryan asked,

"So did you have a lot of fun today, my angel?  Suffice it to say that the whole day was wonderful."

Lycoris nodded happily and replied, "Yes, yes, I totally agree. I loved today. It was really one of the best days of my life ever. I've seen so many new things today and learned so much. Thank you a lot for showing me around, Ryan."

Ryan smiled softly and replied, "You are quite welcome.  I am very happy that you liked today."

The party arrived back at their home and after Robert came to a stop, Ryan got off and then helped Lycoris to get off.  He then took the puppies out of the side bags and placed them in Lycoris' arms.  Next, he took Lycoris' prizes as well as the parcels of treats.  He then looked at Robert and said,

"Thank you very much for taking us today, Robert.  You are very strong indeed.  We are quite lucky to have you."

Lycoris reached out to pet Robert gently and smiling softly at him, she replied,

"Ryan is right, you know. You're very strong. Thank you so much, Robert. Now get a lot of rest, ok? And we'll see you in the morning."

She held the puppies in her arms and said, "Please lead the way inside, Ryan."

Ryan nodded and he led the way inside the house.  Once there, he led the way to the kitchen and said, "I should go put the treats in the icebox first.  Then we can go upstairs and get settled for the night."

After helping Lycoris into a seat at the table, he put away the apple tarts, apple cookies, and candied apples.

Lycoris waited patiently for Ryan as he put away the treats, a happy smile over her face. She did feel tired after their long day but quite very happy, as she had a lot of fun and she was in the best company she could ever have.

Ryan finished putting away the treats and approaching Lycoris, he said, "I'm all done."

He noticed the happy smile on her face and added, "I'm so happy that you loved today.  You know, it was the best apple festival for me ever."

Lycoris smiled a little wider and said, "Really? Is it because I was with you? This may be my first and perhaps only time to attend this festival, you know, but I am sure I enjoyed it a lot because you were with me, too."

Ryan's smile faltered a bit as he heard Lycoris say that it might be her only apple festival but he quickly recovered and replied,

"Yup, that's right.  It wouldn't have been nearly as much fun if you hadn't been with me, and you know, I loved winning your those prizes and getting to try those treats.  But I loved dancing with you.  That was the best part of the day."

Lycoris blushed shyly but indeed, she was very happy to hear that Ryan enjoyed the day because she was with him. It was like hearing him say that filled her heart with happiness all over again. Smiling softly, she replied,

"To me, it was the best part of the day too. Dancing with you was such a wonderful experience. Umm we should do so again sometime. Really, I am happy with you, Ryan, wherever we are. Thank you so much."

Ryan smiled warmly at Lycoris and replied, "And I am happy wherever I am with you.  I would love for another opportunity to dance with my angel as well."

He leaned in to give Lycoris a kiss on each of her cheeks.  Then he gazed happily at her and added,

"You must be quite tired.  Why don't we go upstairs and figure out where to place your prizes?  Then we can get ready for bed."

Lycoris nodded happily and replied, "Sounds great and I sure want to get some sleep after having so much fun. Let's go."

She held the puppies in her arms and stood up, then waited for Ryan's lead.

Holding the prizes in one hand, Ryan then held Lycoris' arm in his other hand and led the way upstairs.  Once they arrived in their room, Ryan looked around and asked,

"So where would you like to put your teddy bear and horse?  On the sofa or perhaps the bed?"

Lycoris thought about it for a moment then happily said, "I can put the horse on the sofa and the teddy bear on the bed. I'd like to hold on to the teddy bear while I sleep."

She paused then said, "Or umm, we can put them both on the sofa. The teddy bear might annoy you a bit when you're holding on to me, right? And umm, I think I prefer holding on to you any day."

She blushed shyly as she realized what she said although it was true.
