Romance RP

Ryan was taken slightly aback by Rosaline's first reply but after a moment, he quickly recovered.  He replied,

"I guess this place must bring back bad memories.  I hadn't realized."

Rosaline replied, "It doesn't anymore. I mean, sure, things haven't been perfect since we came here but at least it's calmer now and being around friends, no matter what the circumstances are, leaves good memories, right?"

Ryan smiled and replied, "Yes, that's right."

He looked a bit down and added, "I'm sorry that you and Bryan were dragged down here because of the mess between Sia and the chancellor.  I never wanted either of you in danger."

Rosaline quickly looked to Ryan and shaking her head, she replied, "Oh no, no, don't blame yourself at all. We didn't mind it one bit and hey, if all of our friends were in danger, we would sure want to help as much as we could. There's nothing to be sorry about, really."

She gave Ryan a sincere, comforting smile.

Ryan looked into Rosaline's eyes and saw the warmth and comfort in them, which made him smile in return.  He replied,

"Thanks, Rosaline.  I'm glad things are ok now and have settled down."

Rosaline replied, "Me, too."

As they continued their ride, she asked, "So umm, any particular places around here that remind you of the humans' world?"

Ryan looked around and replied, "Well, I suppose the theater and art districts.  Although there are magical elements around them, they aren't all that different from those back home.  What about you, Rosaline?  Is there any particular place you like here?"

Rosaline nodded and replied, "I like the Four Marbles Park. It's very beautiful and you know, it reminds me of that place I took you to once in Lessire. That spot that had a view on the ocean? I mean, they are not quite similar but they are equally beautiful."

She hoped that this was a good try to get Ryan to remember some of their memories together.

Ryan smiled softly and nodding, he replied, "Yes, I remember and you're right.  The Four Marbles Park is a reminder of the human world.  I like it a lot.  I visit it quite often.  We can drop by there if you'd like."

Rosaline returned the smile and nodding, she replied, "Of course, I'd like that. It's a place we frequently visit too. Which is your favorite section there?"

Ryan replied, "I like the spring section the best.  The flowers are in bloom and I love looking at the roses, especially white ones.  What about you?"

He felt at ease with Rosaline, as this was the first conversation the two of them had in quite a while.

Rosaline smiled warmly and replied, "I think I like the spring section the best, too. And yup, I remember how white roses were your favorites. I think you liked daffodils and daises too?"

She felt at ease with him, too, and for the first time in a long while, she felt genuinely happy and carefree, as long as she was in his company.

Ryan nodded and replied, "Yup, that's right."

As the two of them continued their tour in Cephiron, Ryan said, "Let's head to the Four Marbles Park before we return to the castle, ok?  I never get tired of it."

Rosaline nodded and replied, "Sure, it's perfectly fine with me. We can give the horses a little rest there and have a walk on foot."

Ryan nodded happily and replied, "Ok.  In the meantime, let's continue our tour.  I think you've seen quite a lot of Cephiron but there may be a few places that could have been missed."

He continued to lead the way, showing Rosaline the various sights and such.

Rosaline would look around at the places Ryan pointed to but really, the most thing she focused on was none but himself. She wanted to get of him as much as she could while they were together and she had missed his company very much. She would listen and look attentively but only to hear his voice and look where looked, and she would occasionally glance happily, a bit lovingly, at him, despite doing her best not to show it.

As Ryan continued pointing out various places of interest to Rosaline, he took occasional glances at her and observed how happy she was.  He smiled, as he felt comfortable and at ease being in her company.  It appeared as though any tension between them was melting away and with any luck, perhaps the two of them could be on friendly terms again.

As the two of them continued going on their tour like so, Rosaline asked,

"So umm, don't you miss the humans' world?"

Ryan replied, "Well, of course, I do.  It's been home for so long but I can always visit if I get lonely.  And here, it's not so different from home.  Sure, it takes some getting used to but I haven't minded.

Have you missed being in the human world?"

(Ok, I'm getting off for the night now and getting some sleep.  Hopefully, this cough goes away soon.  Guess we'll see what happens tomorrow.  Nite, nite, Love.  ^^)

Rosaline shrugged and replied, "I suppose, a little. But then I've been away from it for years of my life so I am used to it. Plus, it's only special when your loved ones are there but no one there whom I deeply care about now."

Ryan nodded, understanding how Rosaline felt in a way.  For so long, before he found Bryan and after his mentor had passed away, Ryan felt the same.  It was as though he didn't have a home to go to.

Looking at Rosaline, he said,

"So as long as you're with Bryan, any place that he's with you is home?"

(I'll be going to work later but I'll be back this evening so I can post more then.  See you later.  ^^)

Rosaline paused for a while before replying but after taking a deep breath, she replied,

"Well, not just Bryan, you know."

She didn't say anything more but let her eyes do the work, for she looked at Ryan a little reproachfully but more so longingly and lovingly, but her looks were subtle in the same time.

Ryan felt a little uncomfortable as he noticed the way that Rosaline looked at him and he understood her words.  He sighed to himself, for he had hoped that her romantic feelings toward him would have lessened but that clearly wasn't the case.  He coughed a bit and then looking ahead, he said,

"Ahh we're in the magic district and it looks as lively as ever."

He pointed to various places of interest and such and his eyes took on a look of delight as he observed the magic users bustling about.

Rosaline observed Ryan's reaction and although she'd hoped it would be a bit different, she figured that it was still too early and she needed to pressure him more. As they looked around the magic district, she asked,

"So which one do you think is better? The magic district here or the one I showed you back in Lessire?"

Ryan replied, "They're both great, really, but I suppose if I had to choose, I like the magic district here a little more.  The shops are great and the sorcerers here are so advanced.  I've been learning more magic since I got here and I feel like I could learn even more."
