Romance RP

Duke Collins looked a little disappointed in the beginning but nodded and said,

"I see. Well, Miss Lycoris was quite kind enough to invite me to join her in the gardens in the afternoon and I will certainly accept this invitation."

'Invite,' of course wasn't the correct way to call it, but the duke wouldn't say that he persisted upon her to agree. Avi raised an eyebrow there, wondering why Lycoris would invite the duke to spend time with her but barely agree to be around his own company.

Ryan raised an eyebrow upon hearing the duke's comment and then he looked over at Avi.  Using his telepathy, he said,

Hey, Avi, don't take the duke's words seriously.  Lycoris told me what really happened.  I'll explain later.


(Ok, I should get off for the night now and get some sleep.  Might as well see if this resting thing will get my cough to completely go away.  I'll be back tomorrow and post more then.  Nite, nite, Love.  ^^)

Avi sighed inwardly but as he couldn't reply telepathically, he only nodded to Ryan. The maids soon returned with lunch and spread it out in front of everyone then took their leave.

After the maids left, Ryan commented,

"Lunch sure looks delicious.  Let's eat before it gets cold."

Ryan took his fork and began to eat his meal and Bryan did the same, too.

The ladies began eating their lunch as well as did Duke Collins and Avi. Rosaline ate as well although she would glance at Ryan nervously every once in a while, for she wondered what his reaction to her invitation of going out.

As Ryan ate lunch, he noticed the nervous glances that Rosaline gave him and wondered what was going on.  It didn't appear that she was angry at him so that was something at least.  As everyone ate, Ryan asked,

"So what is everyone doing this afternoon?"

Avi looked thoughtful then said, "I suppose I'll head to the library and continue reading. There's that nice book I found and it's pretty interesting."

Rosaline felt a little more nervous that moment, wondering if she should speak up now when Lisianthus was present.

Ryan nodded and replied, "Ahh I see."

He looked on happily at Lisianthus and said, "I've missed being with Sia so, of course, I want to spend the afternoon with her."

Bryan looked over at Rosaline, wondering if he should bring up the diversion now.

(Before I forget, I'm probably going to turn in early again tonight.  Going to sleep early last night sort of helped so I'll try that again.)

(I understand. ^^ I am glad to hear you're feeling better. ^^)

Rosaline felt a little discouraged as she heard Ryan's reply but then noticing Bryan's look, she took a deep breath and said,

"Umm actually, I was wondering if you'd be interested in going out with me for the afternoon, Ryan...to show me around the city. I never really had a proper tour around and all and I thought you'd be kind enough to do so."

(Thanks for understanding.  ^^)

Before Ryan could reply, though, Bryan added, "And I wanted to ask Lisianthus some questions that I'm sure she has the answers to.  They'll probably bore you, though, Ryan."

Ryan looked at Rosaline and could hear the sincerity in her voice as she made her request and as it had been a while since they had spent time together, he turned to Lisianthus and asked,

"Would it be all right, Sia?  We can definitely spend the evening together.  I'd like to take Rosaline on a tour."

Although Lisianthus was a little disappointed that she wasn't going to spend the day with Ryan but figuring they would still have the evening to themselves, she nodded and said,

"Ahh of course, I don't mind. And I'll be more than pleased to answer Bryan's questions."

She smiled in a friendly way to Bryan. Rosaline looked happier than she had seemed in a long time, for she was relieved and glad that Ryan had accepted her request.

Bryan smiled and replied, "Thanks, Lisianthus."

Ryan turned to Rosaline and said, "After lunch, we can head to the stables and rent a couple of horses to take into Cephiron unless you'd prefer a carriage?"

Rosaline replied, "The horses would be fine. And it would give a better view of the town."

She smiled to Ryan and in a little while, she was done with her lunch and Lisianthus was done shortly after.

Ryan and Bryan soon finished their meals after and turning to Lisianthus, Ryan said,

"I'll see you for dinner, beautiful."

He gave Lisianthus a quick kiss and then getting up, he approached Rosaline, ready to take her on a tour.

Meanwhile, Bryan turned to Lisianthus and said, "I just wanted to ask some questions about the gods' world but where would be the best place for us to chat?"

Lisianthus looked thoughtful and replied, "Do you want to head to the library? Or the gardens. Whichever you prefer."

Rosaline got up and after saying goodbye to Bryan, she followed Ryan out of the dining room and to outside to the stables.

Bryan replied, "How about the gardens?  It's such a beautiful afternoon and I'd like to spend it outdoors."

Once Ryan and Rosaline arrived at the stables, Ryan approached one of the stable hands and asked him to bring a couple of horses.  While that was being done, Ryan turned to Rosaline and asked,

"Do you want a general tour of the city or is there anywhere particular you wish to go?"

Lisianthus nodded and replied, "Sure, let us go then."

She got up and after both said goodbye to Avi, she led the way to the gardens where they could sit somewhere and chat.

Rosaline replied, "Ahh a general tour of the city would be great but if you feel like there's any particular place that you'd like to show me, that would be fine."

As Bryan followed Lisianthus to the gardens, he said,

"I wanted to ask you about the music in the gods' world, if that's all right.  I'm fascinated by how it's different than at home."

Ryan smiled and replied, "All right.  A general tour it is then."

The stable hand returned with two horses and handed a horse to Rosaline and the other to Ryan.  After they both got on their horses, Ryan led the way away from the castle grounds and towards Cephiron.

Lisianthus smiled and replied, "Of course. I don't mind. I'll tell you all you need to know."

Rosaline followed Ryan on her horse to Cephiron, riding side by side to him, feeling happy inside that she was having Ryan all to herself. She took a deep breath and said,

"It's been a while since we've went out together like this. A really long time."

Bryan smiled and then began asking questions about music to Lisianthus, wondering about the similarities and differences and so forth.

Ryan returned the smile and replied, "Yes, you are right about that, Rosaline.  I guess things have been so busy that we haven't had any free time."

In a way, being alone with Rosaline was an opportunity for Ryan to bring up his engagement with Lisianthus although he'd have to figure out a good way to do so.

(O.O I have to warn Ryan that if he was to do that right now, he has to be very careful. That would be breaking Rosaline's heart twice. O.O)

Lisianthus would answer Bryan's questions, giving him all the information he needed about music in the gods' world.

Rosaline nodded and replied, "I suppose."

She doubted that was the case as things had been calm but it was more like Ryan wanted all his time around Lisianthus. But she said,

"So umm, what do you think of the gods' world so far, now that you've been here for a while?"

(O.O  I know but Ryan says he'll only bring it up if he finds a good opportunity to do so.  Otherwise, he'll stay quiet.  XD)

Ryan smiled softly and replied, "I like it a lot.  In some ways, it's not so different from the human world and the people here are generally friendly.  And there are more magic wielders here whereas back home, it's kind of harder to find them."

(Ahh that's good. XD)

Rosaline nodded in understanding and replied, "It must be nice to find yourself somewhere where people are more like you. So do you like it better than the humans' world?"

Ryan looked thoughtful and replied,

"I don't know if it's better here but it's different.  I like it, though.  I've gotten even stronger since I spent time here.

You used to live in the gods' world for a while, right?  What did you think about it?"

Rosaline replied frankly, "That it's a terrible world. I didn't want to come back here when Bryan told me about it but I agreed only for his sake and for Alex's and Nerine's."

She paused and sighed, then continued, "But I changed my mind now. I suppose things changed since then."
