Ryan nodded and replied, "Yes, that's right.  Let's wait until tomorrow, at least.  I can talk to Lycoris about how things went between her and Duke Collins and if she's feeling anxious, then we can intervene.

On the good news, though, she did agree to let Avi sit in one of our lessons although only on one.  It's a start."

Lisianthus nodded and replied, "I suppose...I don't quite understand though. He used to be with her all the time and then suddenly she pushed him away and doesn't want him with her any longer. Does she really think she would be burdening him?"

Ryan sighed and replied, "I don't know but perhaps.  I told Lycoris how much Avi misses her, being around her.  I tried to bring up that he's missed spending time with her and not having anything to do with helping her.  At least she agreed to let him sit on a lesson.  Perhaps Avi can use it as an opportunity to persuade her to let him be around her again.  I can tell he's been lonely."

Lisianthus nodded and replied, "Yeah. I hope he can persuade her. She needs company, too, as much as he does."

She noticed it was around lunchtime so she said, "Well, I suppose it's time to have lunch. We should head to the dining room."

Ryan nodded and replied, "Yup, you're right."

Smiling at her, he then added,

"At least we'll have the rest of the day for ourselves.  I look forward to spending time with you, beautiful."

Lisianthus smiled and replied, "Me too, cutie. I want to enjoy the rest of the day as much as possible in your company."

She held his arm and said, "Lead the way then, my one and only love."

Ryan smiled and lovingly holding on to Lisianthus' arm, he led the way out of the throne room and towards the dining room.  Once the couple arrived, Ryan helped Lisianthus into a seat and then he took a seat beside her.  Turning to her, he said,

"I almost forgot but Lycoris said that she won't join us for lunch.  I'm hoping she'll join us for dinner, though."

Lisianthus looked disappointed and replied, "Aww I was hoping she could join us. But you're right-at least she might come for dinner."

At that moment, Avi entered the room and smiling to the couple, he said,

"Hey, you two. I hope I didn't keep you for long."

He then took his seat.

Ryan smiled and shaking his head, he replied,

"Not at all.  Oh, I have some good news for you, Avi.  I talked to Lycoris earlier about letting you sit in on one of her lessons and she agreed.  She only wanted you to sit in on one but it's progress, right?"

Avi looked a little pleased to hear the news and nodding, he replied,

"Yeah, that's some good news. Thank you very much, Ryan. I do appreciate it. I'll try talking to her then and perhaps I can sit in more than just one lesson."

The moment after, Duke Collins entered the room and seeing the present, he bowed and said,

"Good afternoon, all."

He looked around the table quickly but once again not finding who he looked for, he took his seat.

Ryan observed how Duke Collins looked like he was searching for someone and turning to Lisianthus, he telepathically communicated,

He couldn't be any more obvious, could he?

Lisianthus sighed inwardly and replied,

I have a feeling he isn't even trying to hide it.

Rosaline and Bryan entered the room soon after this time, Rosaline decided to take the lead on greeting everyone and said,

"Good afternoon, everyone."

Ryan smiled softly at Rosaline and Bryan and replied,

"Good afternoon.  I'm glad you two could join us for lunch."

Bryan smiled and replied, "Same here."

He helped Rosaline into a seat and then took a seat next to her.

Lisianthus then said, "Well, as we're all here, lunch could be served."

She turned to a nearby maid and ordered that lunch be brought, and the maid left immediately to do so. The duke then asked,

"Isn't Miss Lycoris going to join us?"

Lisianthus raised an eyebrow over the duke's direct question but thought she'd let Ryan reply.

Ryan replied, "I'm afraid not.  She's currently in the gardens with the puppies but perhaps she may join us for dinner."

He observed Duke Collins, waiting to see what his reaction would be.
