Romance RP

Lycoris nodded and replied, "I understand. It's good I can use them."

She paused then said, "You'll go to Sia now?"

Ryan replied, "Yeah, I was about to.  Seeing that it's almost lunchtime, I thought I'd find her and then we can all have lunch in the dining room.  I know that Alex and Nerine are out there, though, so they can't join us but perhaps you might join us for lunch today?"

He looked tentatively at Lycoris, unsure whether she'd agree to the idea.

Lycoris shook her head and replied,

"I'm sorry, Ryan. I'll head to the gardens now and maybe I can have lunch there but by myself. Umm maybe some other time."

She had already had dinner with everyone last evening and she thought that was enough for a while.

Ryan nodded and replied, "Ok, that's fine.  I hope we'll see you at dinner, though.  How about I escort you to the gardens at least before I go to Sia?"

Lycoris nodded and replied, "Sure, that would be fine. Thank you."

She picked up the puppies and then waited for Ryan to lead her to the gardens.

Ryan gently held Lycoris' right arm and led the way out of the training area and towards the gardens with the soldier following them.  He then led Lycoris to one of the benches where she and the puppies could be seated comfortably.

Then he looked to her and said, "I'll get going but do you want anything before I leave?"

(Getting late here so I'll get off for the night now and get some sleep.  I'll check back tomorrow and post again.  Nite, nite, Love.  ^^)

Lycoris shook her head and replied, "Thank you. Have a good time, Ryan, and thank you again for everything."

Ryan smiled and replied, "You're welcome.  I hope we'll see you at dinner."

He gave the puppies a gentle pet each on the head and then he headed back inside the castle to look around for Lisianthus.  He figured that he'd start with the throne room since that's where she was yesterday.

Indeed, Lisianthus was in the throne room and she was alone, having finished her work and her talk with Duke Collins. However, she didn't look as cheerful as she looked in the morning, but looked troubled and down.

Ryan arrived at the throne room and upon entering, he saw Lisianthus.  Immediately approaching her, he happily said,

"I'm all done, beautiful."

Then he noticed the troubled expression on her face and his tone softening, he asked,

"What's wrong?"

(I'm probably going to bed early tonight.  My dad's bugging me about getting lots of rest since my cold hasn't gone completely away.  I'm still coughing although the other symptoms are gone.  But I honestly doubt that sleeping a lot's going to help but I might as well try to, at least for tonight.  I can bug my dad about it tomorrow if it doesn't help.  XD)

(Ahh I see. XD I understand and I hope the coughing goes away soon. ^^ You should try drinking lots of hot drinks-it usually helps. ^^)

Lisianthus looked up as she saw Ryan and quickly trying to look cheerful, she replied,

"Hey, cutie. Oh no-it's nothing. So umm, how did the morning go with Lycoris?"

(Yup, I've been doing that.  Drinking various teas and such and now my dad has me drinking this kind of tea that tastes awful but it is helping with lessening the coughs so that's something.  XD)

Ryan replied, "Our lesson went well but hey, don't change the subject.  Did something happen when Duke Collins talked to you earlier?  Did he upset you in any way?  Because I can always beat him up for you."

He winked playfully at Lisianthus, joking over the latter comment.

(Aww I see. XD Well, hopefully, it all goes away soon and you don't have to drink it anymore. ^^ Hmm my brother used to have a similar condition to this when he would go coughing a lot for a long time winter when he'd go coughing all day and it continued on for a while-my mother would warm old papers and put them on his chest under the clothes-it used to help. XD)

Lisianthus couldn't help but smile over Ryan's joke but then sighing, she replied,

"Don't bother yourself about it. It's just a small problem but I will find a solution for it, cutie. No worries."

It had to do with their marriage but Lisianthus didn't want to tell Ryan about it, not wanting to worry him.

(I see.  Well, I haven't been to a doctor yet although I suppose if my condition doesn't get completely better soon-and I'm not going to have a break from work for a while-then I'll go see a doctor at that point.  I've been avoiding going to the doctor, mainly because the doctors here tend to overmedicate but I'll do so if there's no other option.  XD)

Ryan looked worriedly in Lisianthus' eyes and replied,

"I love you, beautiful, and whatever troubles you have, I want to share them with you and maybe I can help you find a solution."

(I wonder if this has to do with the duke bringing up the marriage tradition and all that.)

(I see. XD Hopefully you don't have to go that far. Have you tried taking any medicament? You could try going to a pharmacy instead to see if there are any medicines that could help without going to the doctor.)

Lisianthus smiled to Ryan comfortingly and replied, "No worries, cutie. I promise if I don't find any solution, I'll let you know. But for now, let me try to take care of this, ok?"

(And yup, it does. The duke warned Lisianthus that the people might go furious over her if she announces her marriage to Ryan. XD)

(Not yet.  I haven't taken an OTC medications although that should be the next step if natural remedies don't help.  XD  And ahh, I see about the duke.  But Lisianthus' dad married her mom and her mom was a devil and the people weren't upset about that.)

Ryan nodded and replied, "All right, beautiful."

He hoped that Lisianthus would tell him what her troubles were but in the meantime, he decided to change the subject.  He then said,

"I talked to Lycoris during our lesson break and I warned her about the duke so she'll be on her guard.  She told me that he wants to spend time with her this afternoon in the gardens and she tried to refuse him but he was quite persistent in the matter."

(Ahh yup, that could help. XD And that's true but that way before the war happens. XD The people started being more skeptical about other races since then and despite living with more devils, they don't let them hold important positions anymore. XD Plus, part of the reasons why the wars started was Lisianthus' mother's connection to the devils' world and all that.)

Lisianthus nodded and replied, "I see. Well, it's good that she will keep her guard up. That's necessary for now-I talked to the duke earlier and I tried getting anything out of him and I could already know it-he likes Lycoris."

(O.O  I see.  Well, I guess the duke has a point there then.  XD)

Ryan nodded and replied, "I see.  It's pretty clear that he has an interest in her.  We could just tell him that she's already married but that's quite complicated, isn't it?"

(Yup. XD)

Lisianthus nodded and replied, "Yeah. He'll probably wonder about the whole story if I tell him that but in the same time, we should probably do so before he tries to make any move on her and who knows what Alex might do then or what she might do?"

Ryan nodded and replied, "Yeah.  I suppose we could tell the duke part of the situation-like Lycoris is already married-but we can leave out certain details.  I hope the duke isn't a nosy type of person although I have a feeling that he is."

Lisianthus replied, "I don't think that would work very well with him. He wouldn't give up like that, I am sure. He'd wonder why, how, and if so, why she is alone all the time and if there's no hope in fixing her relationship with Alex, why wouldn't he have her chance at him? If we choose to tell him the situation, we'll have to tell him everything."

Ryan sighed and replied, "Yeah, I guess you're right.  Man, if that duke hadn't suddenly taken an interest in Lycoris.  She has enough to deal with as it is."

He shook his head, wondering how things got complicated.

Lisianthus sighed and replied, "Let's hope he just slows down and doesn't do anything rash...I fear what might happen if he tries to make a move on her or something...Do you think things could get more complicated than this?"

Ryan replied, "I hope not but I don't know.  Hopefully, Lycoris will be able to push him away on her own and since I gave her the heads up about him, she'll be careful.  I'm more worried about Alex, though.  He hasn't lost his temper yet but if that duke continues to flirt with Lycoris, I worry about how Alex will react and how that will affect Nerine.  Gosh, we don't need any more drama now, do we?"

Lisianthus replied, "Man, you're right. And Nerine and Alex have just fixed things between them and I really don't want things between them to break again."

She sighed then pausing, she continued, "Maybe I can warn him to stay away from and tell him that Lycoris loves Alex and no moves would make her change her mind. I believe this is pretty much true anyways."
