Alex replied, "But you heard what the healers said, too-the part where they said that science could do what magic couldn't. Science is a whole other field and although the human world isn't as strong in magic, it's very strong in technology and knowledge. I'm sure we can find something to bring your vision back, at least partially."

Lycoris looked hesitant still and replied slowly,

"I-I don't know...Like I said, I don't want to hang on to any more hopes. Maybe I should just accept the whole thing-that I will never see again. I should try coping and living with it instead of wasting time on nothing."

(Okay, I'll be getting off now. Like I said, let me know how you are in the morning, alright, phoenix? I'll be late tomorrow of course but I'll get back to you when I return. ^^ Nite, nite, ^^)

Alex sighed and replied, "Is that really what you want, Lycoris? I'll support you in any way I can. If you want to look for other options to get your eyesight back, I can definitely do so. I just want you to be happy again."

He gently stroked Lycoris' back, comforting her with soft gestures.

Lycoris sighed sadly and after a moment of silence, she replied quietly,

"It's no use. I don't want to waste your time or anyone's. It's best to accept things as they are instead of hopelessly trying. I at least don't have any. I should learn to live with it."

Alex replied, "Hey, you wouldn't be wasting my time and I don't want to hear you say such things. You mean a lot to me. You know that, right? I'd do anything for you."

He hugged Lycoris tightly, sadness overwhelming him as he witnessed how hopeless Lycoris felt.

Lycoris returned the hug tightly yet gently at the same time, feeling a little comforted just being in Alex's arms. She sniffed softly and replied quietly,

"I know. Thank you, Alex, for everything. I can never thank you enough or describe the gratitude and love I have in my heart for you. I am sorry I tire you out so much. I wished I could help out more instead of troubling you so. I really did."

Alex gently stroked Lycoris' hair and softly replied, "I'll never get tired of you, Lycoris. I love all the moments we spend together-the good and the bad. I'll be by your side, no matter what."

He then thought of an idea. He turned to Lycoris and said, "I think you need a distraction. Tell me-what do you want to do today?"

Lycoris was silent for a moment then replied,

"Nothing in particular. I didn't have any plans for today or at least...most of them are blown out now. Why do you ask?"

Alex replied, "You need cheering up and I have an idea. You were learning magic from the chancellor before, right? Do you want to see him? He could help you out with learning more magic."

Lycoris didn't really feel much up to go out see anybody and didn't feel energetic enough to be learning magic that very moment. Shaking her head, she replied,

"I don't really feel up to that, Alex. I am sorry. Maybe some other time. I-I'll just remain here, alright? You can get going."

Alex continued to hold Lycoris in his arms and replied,

"I don't want to leave you alone, though, or is it that you don't want me? Whatever you're feeling, let me share your feelings. Let my warmth wrap around you and do its best to comfort you."

Lycoris shook her head and replied, "That's not it...But I don't want to trouble you more than I already did. Really, I'll be ok. I don't want to keep you."

Although she honestly needed Alex's presence that very moment, she really didn't want to burden him more than she already thought she did.

Alex replied, "Hey, you don't cause me trouble and I don't want to hear you say such things anymore, ok? I'll stay with you all day if you wish. I'll explain things to Nerine and considering what's happened, I think she'll understand."

Although Lycoris liked the idea, she didn't really want to cause more problems between Alex and Nerine and replied,

"Are you sure? I don't want any more problems to arise between you two because of me."

Alex replied, "You know, that's what I love about you. You're always thinking of others before yourself but really, it's ok. I'll talk to Nerine and hopefully, she'll be ok with this. Maybe the three of us could even hang out together unless you want it to be just the two of us."

Lycoris replied, "No, I am fine with that. Y-You know, it would be even better. So she wouldn't feel left out. And I'd like to spend some time with her, if she's ok with that."

Alex replied, "That sounds wonderful. You and Nerine definitely should get to spend time together. Oh and Avi can keep us company, too, if you'd like. I wouldn't want him to feel left out or anything. I'm sure the others can keep themselves occupied or hang out with us if they'd like."

Lycoris smiled just a bit and nodding, she replied,

"I don't mind. That would be actually nice. I'd like it."

Alex hugged Lycoris warmly and replied, "Your happiness is mine and always remember that I love you, no matter what. You are a very special woman."

He held Lycoris gently, enjoying her company.

Lycoris returned Alex's hug tightly yet gently and replied,

"Thank you, Alex, for everything. I can never thank you enough for everything you do for me. I'm forever in your debt. I don't know what I'd have done without you."

Alex smiled softly and replied, "And I don't know who I'd be if you had never entered my life. You've made me all the happier and I truly feel love and happiness just to be with you. I feel like a lucky man to have you in my life."

Lycoris couldn't help but blush on hearing Alex's words and replied quietly,

"I-I find it strange that you love me so much, Alex, despite all the trouble that I bring upon you...Why do you feel lucky to have me in your life?"

Alex replied, "You are the most unique, special woman ever and I'm certain there isn't another woman like you. I could name so many wonderful qualities about you but I love the way you view life. It's like I can view things from a completely new perspective. And you have an innocent quality that I adore. How can I not love you?"

(I should get off for the night now since I have work tomorrow and I should get my sleep and all that. But I'll post tomorrow after I get back from work so I'll see you then. Nite, nite, Love. ^^)

Lycoris couldn't help but blush deeply upon hearing Alex's words and hugging him a little closer, she replied softly,

"I love you so much, Alex. I really do. Thank you. Thank you for everything. You really are my whole world. I can't live without you."

(Back now. I'll be multi-tasking and all that but I'll be here until I turn in for the night. XD)

Alex returned the hug ever so lovingly and replied,

"And I can't live without you. I love you so much, my beautiful, wonderful Lycoris. I truly am a lucky man to have you in my life."
