As the couple continued to walk through the forests, Stacey asked,

"How was work? Is uncle and everyone doing all right?"

Ryan gave a sly look at Lisianthus and replied,

"Maybe a little. You are a beautiful woman, after all, and I'd be insanely jealous if handsome men grabbed your attention away from me."

William nodded and remembering Steven, he replied,

"Yeah, everything is fine. Umm I talked to Steven earlier and he says that he's leaving town after the job is done. Said that there was no more reason for his stay."

Lisianthus felt happy with Ryan's reply and playing around him more, she replied,

"I see but I doubt that. You'd probably find another more beautiful woman and have her company instead. I should search for another cute guy then."

Stacey looked curious and replied, "I wonder why he said that. I suppose it's a relief in a way, though. He hasn't approached me for a while but still, having him out of town will give us less pressure."

Ryan shook his head and replied, "No way but tell you what. Let's make a promise to each other. At the ball, we'll only have eyes for each other and dance only with each other. That way, we can't be tempted by others."

William nodded and replied,

"Yeah, that would be a burden off the shoulders. I didn't like how he had his eyes on you like that even when I was present. I mean, I trust you and everything but I didn't like how he had no respect at all for our relationship or our marriage."

Lisianthus was even happier as Ryan asked her that promise and although as a queen, she had to take care of all the guests, she replied,

"I promise that I won't have my eyes except for you and that I will dance only with you. I don't care about all the others."

Stacey nodded and replied, "I understand. At least he's being respectful now by backing off.

So are you enjoying the work? Uncle has told me how well you've been doing on the job. He's been hearing regular reports from Bill about everyone."

Ryan grinned, "That'll solve it. It'll be fun to attend the ball since you'll be there. Otherwise, I think it would be a little boring."

He chuckled happily.

William smiled and replied,

"Yup, work has been going great and it's pretty smooth, no troubles or anything. Mark is a great partner, too. Speaking of Mark, I asked him what kind of food he would prefer and he said that anything with meat would be great. He likes simple things."

Lisianthus laughed happily and replied,

"I used to like balls because I'd mess around the cute guys and stuff but it will be more interesting because you're around this time. You'll have to be alone for a while, though. The queen has to come last thing when the herald calls, 'The queen!' Promise me that I won't find you standing with another woman."

Stacey nodded and replied, "Ahh ok. I can come up with a menu that Mark will like.

You know, if you'd like, you can hang out with him after work. It's all right with me as long as I know you'll be back later."

Ryan chuckled and putting his right hand over where his heart was, he replied,

"I promise, my beautiful queen, but I wonder. Am I not allowed to accompany you? I can be your date to chase off the guys."

William turned to Stacey and replied,

"But wouldn't you feel lonely that way? The only time when we get to spend time together is now and I wouldn't want to leave you alone for this time, too. That would be unfair, you know."

Lisianthus looked thoughtful for a moment then replied,

"I think it would be fine but I'll warn you. Lots of noblemen will want to talk to me and such. You wouldn't believe it but I get marriage proposals at times during the ball. I've had to let down many nobles many times."

Stacey nodded and replied, "I would be but I also want you to be happy and to be able to hang out with your friends when you want without worrying about me."

She smiled at William, thinking only of his happiness.

Ryan replied, "That doesn't surprise me at all but at least this time, you have me to ward off those would-be suitors. I hope I don't get any marriage proposals myself."

He chuckled a little over his comment.

William was touched by how Stacey wanted him to be happy and hugging her happily, he replied,

"I'm happy enough being with you, pretty. I just need you to be with me and that's all I need to be content in this life."

Lisianthus laughed out loud over Ryan's comment, and replied,

"It would be a trouble if you did. You'd have to ponder over which lady you should choose since they would be all pretty ladies."

Stacey returned the hug and looking up happily into William's eyes, she replied,

"I'll always be here with you, handsome. There's no one else I'd rather be with than with you."

Ryan chuckled and replied, "But I bet that none of them would be nearly as beautiful as you."

He looked meaningfully into Lisianthus' eyes, his own full of warmth and happiness.

William looked back in Stacey's eyes and replied happily,

"And that's all I need to hear and feel, pretty. Your presence is like the world to me."

Lisianthus couldn't help but blush as Ryan complimented her and happily, she couldn't help but think,

And none of them would love you as I do either.

But replying, she said shyly, "If you say so. We'll see tomorrow."

She paused for a minute then continued, "So aren't we going to snowboard or what?"

Stacey felt touched by William's words and approaching him closer, she leaned in for a sweet, romantic kiss.

Ryan nodded and replied, "Yup, I almost forgot why we're here."

He chuckled and then continued,

"So do you want to go first this time?"

William returned Stacey's kiss lovingly, wrapping his arms around her waist and holding her closer to him, enjoying the romantic moment.

Lisianthus nodded and replied, "Ok. Let's see."

She got her snowboard and after setting her position carefully, she went down the hill, adjusting her balance as she did.

Stacey continued to kiss William for a few more sweet moments and after breaking it off, she lovingly said,

"I do have the best husband in the world."

Ryan watched as Lisianthus began to go down the hill and then he got on his snowboard, going down the hill. He made sure to follow Lisianthus closely, wanting to make sure that she was safe as well as having fun.

William smiled gently to Stacey as he replied,

"And I have the best, most beautiful wife in the world."

He continued walking with her, passing the night and enjoying the romantic, quiet atmosphere.

Lisianthus continued to snowboard down the hill and she was going a bit faster than before, getting a better hang of the sport. She was enjoying her time, spending it in this way, learning a new sport with Ryan.

Stacey blushed happily and continued walking through the forests with William, enjoying the nighttime atmosphere. She couldn't imagine her life without him and she was grateful that William was a part of her life, now and forever.

Ryan continued to follow Lisianthus down the hill and soon he was beside her. Looking to her, he said,

"You're getting better at this. You're quite the fast learner."

William continued walking with Stacey for a while more, enjoying the rest of the night. He noticed that it was getting late and knowing that they would have to get up early tomorrow, he turned to her and said,

"Should we go back now, pretty? It's getting late, I think."

Lisianthus looked to Ryan and happily, she replied,

"Hee, hee, thanks! This is pretty fun and I like sports in general. This sport is pretty cool, too, you know!"

Stacey observed how late it was getting as well and nodding, she replied,

"Yup, you're right, handsome. We should get up early tomorrow and after breakfast, we can pick up Megan and take her to the book signing."

She held William's arm and followed him as they headed back towards the hut.

Ryan grinned and replied, "I'm happy you're having fun, Sia. Snowboarding's a lot of fun, just like skiing. We should do this as much as possible."

Holding Stacey's arm, William led the way back towards the hut. After a while of walking, they arrived back home and he led the way inside.

Once he locked the door after them, he turned to her and said,

"You may enter the bathroom first, pretty. I'll wait for you."

Lisianthus nodded excitedly and replied,

"Yup, we should, we should! Man, Ryan, our schedule is pretty full! We've got many things to do but that makes me happy!"

Stacey nodded and replied, "Ok, I'll be quick then."

She gave William a quick kiss and after getting a clean nightgown from the bedroom, she went to the bathroom to wash up and change.

Ryan chuckled, "Then I'm happy that you're happy. We never having a boring moment, do we?"

He continued snowboarding and soon reached the bottom of the hill.

Meanwhile, William sat on the coach, waiting for Stacey to finish using the bathroom. He was looking forward to tomorrow and to having a nice day with Megan and Stacey, as well as a day off from work.

Lisianthus soon reached the bottom of the hill as well and happily, she replied,

"Definitely not! As long as we are together, there will be no boring moments!"

Stacey finished washing up and changed into a beautiful green silk nightgown. After she brushed her hair, she left the bathroom and returning to William, she said,

"I'm all done, handsome. The bathroom's free."

Ryan smirked playfully and replied, "Oh is that an order from the queen? We're not allowed to have any boring moments. That's one order I won't mind following."

William got up and after kissing Stacey quickly, he replied,

"Okay. It's my turn then. I'll be done quickly, pretty."

He then entered the bathroom to wash up and get ready for bed.

Lisianthus couldn't help but giggle over Ryan's reply and naughtily, she replied,

"Oh really? So you only obey the orders you don't mind following? That's not what a good knight does, Ryan."

While William was in the bathroom getting ready, Stacey went to the bedroom, put away her nightgown, and then climbed into bed, waiting for William to join her.

Ryan chuckled and replied, "Well, this is one knight who has his own mind but I'll do as much as possible to please my queen."

He winked at her happily.
