Romance RP

Lycoris nodded and quite confidently, she replied,

"Yes, quite sure. Thank you for trying to help but yeah, I know how to take care of things on my own."

Steve looked troubled but he replied, "Well, I won't force you to continue the session so I'll comply with your wish."

He took out two cards and handing them to the shapeshifter and Lady Penelope, he added, "If you need anything, please let me know."

Lady Penelope smiled softly at Steve and replied, 

"Thank you, darling. We truly appreciate your try to help. We'll let you know if we need you in the future."

Steve returned Lady Penelope's smile and getting up, he bowed to everyone and said,

"Then I'll wish you all a good day.  I'll see myself out."

He then headed to the front door and left, leaving the others by themselves.

After Steve had left, the shapeshifter looked to Matthew and Lycoris and raising an eyebrow, she said, 

"So? What have you come to that you decided to ask your friend to leave?"

Matthew looked to Lycoris and said, "I think you should be the one to tell them."

He patted Lycoris' hands softly in encouragement.

(I'll go ahead and get off for the night now.  I'm going out in the morning but I should be able to post before I do so.  Nite, nite, Love.  ^^)

Lycoris nodded and after taking a breath, she said, "WeW decided that I don't want to give my powers to you any longer, nor save the devils' world. I want to live my life to the fullest and enjoy it to the last and it's totally my right. You can't force me to do anything else."

The shapeshifter raised an eyebrow and replied, "I believe that my agreement wasn't even with you. It's the real Lycoris I talk to, not you."

(Awww it's ok.  ^^)

Matthew sighed inwardly and replied, "She's just as much Lycoris as the one we've come to know.  Please, just hear her out."

(Thanks for understanding. ^^ I just finished house chores so I am free to post now. XD)

The shapeshifter raised an eyebrow at Matthew and replied, "That wasn't your opinion before."

Lycoris smirked and replied, "Well, haven't you heard what that doctor just said? Me and the other Lycoris are one and the same, so there's no such a thing as a real and a fake Lycoris. We're both the same, with exactly the same rights."

The shapeshifter replied, "Really? And the other Lycoris knows about what you say now and agrees with it? I strongly doubt that."

Matthew didn't know what to say.  He felt that it was best to stay silent and let Lycoris handle the conversation for now.  He did feel conflicted although he truly wanted what was best for Lycoris.

Lycoris rolled her eyes and replied, "That's between me and her, isn't it? You have nothing to do with anything. But as long as I don't agree, you have no right to force me to do something I don't want. Not even the other Lycoris can."

The shapeshifter was starting to lose her patience, but doing her best to be calm, she turned to Matthew and said, "And you are on her side now?"

Matthew replied, "I want what Lycoris wants, what both of them want.  It's what I've always wanted for her."

He looked at Lycoris, feeling troubled and conflicted by everything and wishing that there was a good solution to their problems.

The shapeshifter raised an eyebrow and replied, "This isn't what both of them want. This is what this Lycoris wants. And I am surprised that you ended up believing her and wanting to help her."

Lycoris was angered and replied, "And why wouldn't he? I am Lycoris as much as she is. Why do you all insist that I am some second grade being?!"

Matthew replied, "I think this is what Steve was trying to get at.  You all treat her with such hostility.  It's no wonder she behaves the way she does.  I've been trying to understand her and if everyone else did the same, maybe we could work things out better."

The shapeshifter was the one losing her patience then and replied with a tone of anger,

"If the real Lycoris is treating her this way, do you expect us to treat her any differently? And I don't blame her honestly. All I see before me is a manipulative personality that just wants things to go how she wants."

She turned to Matthew and glaring at him, she said, "You didn't fall for her, did you?"

Matthew blushed but doing his best to keep his composure, he replied, "She isn't manipulative.  I don't see her like that at all.  She may be more assertive than the Lycoris we all know but that doesn't make her bad."

Lycoris reached out to touch Matthew's hand gently, thanking him silently for his support. The shapeshifter furrowed her eyebrows and replied, 

"That wasn't how you thought of her before. I wonder what the real Lycoris would say if she were here now."

Lycoris replied angrily, "Stop talking about her. The real one, the real one, the real one! I am not a ghost, you know. I am stronger than her and at least I can take care of myself."

Matthew took a deep breath and said, "How about we all calm down here?  Getting upset isn't going to get us anywhere."

(I'm going to take care of a few things now and then go to sleep but I'll post again tomorrow before I go to work and all.  Nite, nite, Love.  ^^)

The shapeshifter was at her end and deciding that continuing the conversation will get her no where, she got up and said, 

"You're right. When the real Lycoris is back in control, let me know. Maybe we'll have a useful talk then."

She then left the room without waiting for anyone's response.

After the shapeshifter, Matthew sighed and said, "I'm sorry.  I just want what's best for everyone."

He hung his head down, feeling disheartened.

Lady Penelope felt conflicted, as she could understand her daughter's anger but she could also understand Matthew's and Lycoris' point of view. After a moment of silence, she smiled a little and said,

"Darling," she addressed her words towards Matthew, "Can we talk alone for a bit?"

(Ahh I think this will be my only post for today since I'm going out with my mom in a bit for the day. I'll post again tonight and more tomorrow of course. XD)

Matthew nodded and replied, "Sure."  He looked to Lycoris and asked, "Will it be all right with you?  I'll take you back up to your room and return as soon as Lady Penelope and I have finished talking."

He gently squeezed Lycoris' hands, as though silently telling her that he wouldn't keep anything from her.

Although Lycoris wanted to protest, as she couldn't understand why Matthew and Lady Penelope would talk about her from behind her back, but as Matthew squeezed her hands and she understood his message, she replied reluctantly, 

"Fine, but don't take long."

Matthew nodded and replied, "I understand."

He turned to Lady Penelope and said, "I'll be right back, my lady."

He got up and after helping Lycoris to her feet, he escorted her back upstairs and to her room.  Once she was comfortable, Matthew returned downstairs to the living room where Lady Penelope was waiting.  He took a seat and then waited for her to speak.

After Matthew had returned, Lady Penelope took a deep breath and with a tentative look, she said,

"You didn't answer my daughter's question back there. Have you fallen for her, darling? For this Lycoris?"
