Romance RP

(Ok, see you tomorrow.  ^^)

Ryan nodded and replied, "I agree but she's quite headstrong on this matter.  I have the feeling that she's nearby but I can't pinpoint where she is."

Matthew looked sadly at Lycoris and replied, "But it's not like she won't be happy about this.  And Ryan's right.  You shouldn't need to sacrifice yourself.  There's always another way."

Lisianthus looked troubled and replied, "We can't just wait like that. I-I won't stand it if I suddenly hear that Lycoris is gone. I have my soldiers placed in the devils' world but knowing the shapeshifter and her tricks, that won't stand against her a thing."

She was deep in thought, wondering how they could find Lycoris as soon as possible.

Lycoris smiled sadly and shaking her head, she replied,

"There isn't and it is better that way. Speaking about myself, I can't think of a future to dream about and live for. The future isn't for me. But it seems like my other self already knows what she wants and built a future for herself with a person she loves. I-I will be really quite selfish if I don't understand that."

Her tone was quite pained despite how hard she tried to remain strong.

Ryan nodded and replied, "Yeah, I bet they've already anticipated that and they'll think of a way to disarm the guards.  But for now, we do need to find a way to find Lycoris.  I just can't think of anything."

Matthew replied, "There isn't anything wrong with being selfish.  They really isn't.  Everyone has some sort of selfish desire inside them."

He sighed and added, "This is still wrong."

(Ahh I thought I'd let you know but I may not get back online until later tonight.  It's because I have a class in the evening so yeah, I'll be back late.  ^^)

(Ahh no problem. I'll be around until I have to go to work and all. XD)

Lisianthus bit her lower lip and looked deep in thought, trying to figure something out. Remembering something, she said,

"I hate to mention him but if the chancellor were here, he would have been able to help. He knew of a spell or something like that. He was the one who helped me find Nerine in the humans' world when I was first looking for her."

Lycoris looked depressed and not wishing to talk about this matter any longer, she replied,

"Umm I should probably leave you to study now. Would you just take me back to my room, please?"

(Back now although I'll be multi-tasking and all.  ^^)

Matthew nodded and replied, "Of course.  You must be tired from using your magic."

He gently held Lycoris' arm and then escorted her back to her room.  Once they reached the door, Matthew said,

"Here you are.  I'll let you rest for a while."

(Ahh no problem. I'll make this post only for now since it's time for me to go and all. XD)

Lycoris nodded and replied, "Ok, thank you. I'll see you later at lunch then."

She bowed her head to Matthew then entered her room, wanting to rest for a while.

(Sure, no problem.  ^^)

Matthew then returned to his room to mull over how to help Lycoris with the spell.

(Ahh the chancellor is at Matthew's house, too, right?  I think that's the case.  XD)

(Ahh yup, that's true. XD)

Lycoris entered her room and after reaching her bed, she laid down on it and cried. She didn't even know what she wanted any longer. Did she really want to give her other self such freedom? No, she definitely didn't but then it was selfish to stand in front of her and Matthew's happiness and their becoming together. Was she completely happy sacrificing her powers? No, not that either but she didn't have any other alternative. All other options were dark and this was the only way out.

Why couldn't she ever dream of a happy future? Didn't she deserve any peace of mind at all?

As Matthew mulled over things, he felt troubled like Lycoris.  He wondered if there was a good solution to all this.  Getting an idea, he left the room and decided to look for the chancellor.  He hoped that he was in his room so that he could confide in him about things.

Indeed, the chancellor was in his room. He had borrowed a book from the mansion's library after breakfast and decided to spend the morning reading it quietly in his room.

Matthew reached the door to the chancellor's room and knocking on it gently, he said,

"Hey, it's me, Matthew.  Are you in?"

(I'll be multi-tasking so I may be slow in posting but I'm here.  XD)

(No problem. XD)

The chancellor heard Matthew's voice on the other side of the door and wondering if something was the matter, as he wasn't to having Matthew visit him. He put aside his book and replied,

"I am here, sir. Please come in."

Matthew opened the door and entered the chancellor's room.  Seeing the book, Matthew said,

"Hello, sir.  I hope I'm not disturbing you but I wanted your help about something."

The chancellor smiled to Matthew and shaking his head, he said, 

"Of course not, sir. Please have a seat. Is something the matter? Is everything ok with Lady Lycoris?"

Matthew took a seat and then he began to talk to the chancellor about the situation with Lycoris although he didn't mention that the two of them sleeping in her room.  He then said,

"I'm trying to come up with a spell to help.  I thought that perhaps you might have an idea or two?"

(Ahh I think there's a confusion here. XD Lisianthus is the one who mentioned that the chancellor could help find Lycoris if he were with them. Lycoris didn't say anything about the chancellor and all. XD)
