Romance RP

Lycoris nodded in understanding as she listened to the chef's instructions and as he was finished, she replied,

"I understand. So it's not the process of wrapping itself, but rather the ingredients used to make the beef mixture and wrapping, right?"

The chef nodded and replied, "Yup, that's right, miss.  Also, spring rolls are smaller than egg rolls and taste crispier when you bite into them.  But the process for making them and egg rolls is the same.  Would you like to try making one?"

(If I'm slow in posting, it's because I'm doing other things but yeah, I'll try to post as much as I can.  ^^)

(Ahh I understand. I am studying in the same time as well so yeah. ^^)

Lycoris nodded happily and replied, "Yes, please."

After the chef showed her where the dough and beef mixture were, she reached out and tried to make a spring roll, wrapping it in the same way she had wrapped the egg roll.

(Ok.  ^^)

The chef observed as Lycoris made her first spring roll and nodding in approval, he said,

"Very good, miss.  Yes, just like that."

Lycoris smiled happily and said,

"I am glad. Well, I made one or two of each dumpling or roll. I guess I learned plenty of things today, right?"

Matthew nodded happily and replied, "Yup, definitely.  You learn very quickly, Lycoris, and everyone here has been impressed."

The chef added, "Oh most definitely."

Lycoris smiled happily and said, "Thank you."

She paused then said, "I think we should let the chefs work now without disturbing them any further. Thank you for giving us of your time, sir."

The chef smiled softly and replied, "You're welcome, miss."

Matthew then asked, "Would you like to go see how the head chef is doing, Lycoris?"

(Sorry for the long delay. I had to have lunch and yeah, mom wouldn't let me post beforehand. ^^; )

Lycoris replied,

"Are you sure we wouldn't be disturbing him? I feel like we spent too much time here and I don't want us to be disturbing the chefs or annoying them."

(No problem.  ^^)

Matthew shook his head and replied, "I'm sure it won't be a problem.  We can see how he's doing and if we're disturbing him, then we can leave."

(Thanks. ^^)

Lycoris nodded happily and replied, "Well, in that case, let's go. I am very curious to see how he prepares the fried rice."

Matthew nodded and the couple made their way back to the head chef.  The chef was frying the seafood fried rice in a huge wok and happily asked,

"How are things going?  Did you both enjoy checking out the other stations?"

(Getting sleepy here so I'll get off for the night now and go to sleep.  I'll check back tomorrow and post again.  Nite, nite, Love.  ^^)

Lycoris nodded happily and replied,

"I definitely did. Thank you for giving us this chance, sir. It was a lot of fun and the chefs were very nice and friendly. They taught me how to fold dumplings and roll spring and egg rolls. I learned a lot today."

The head chef smiled softly and replied, "You looked like you enjoyed yourself a lot, miss.  Would you like me to describe to you how the seafood rice is cooking?  I have all the ingredients in a huge wok and I'm frying everything up.  A few of the other chefs are doing the same to their respective fried rice."

Lycoris nodded in understanding and replied,

"I see, sir. Do you fry the rice with all the ingredients in the same time until they all cook? And then it's ready to be served?"

(I am heading to college in a bit but I should be back sometime during the afternoon. I'll post as soon as I come back and all. ^^)

(Ahh ok.  ^^)

The head chef nodded happily and replied, "Yup, that's right.  I like cooking everything together and it smells wonderful, doesn't it?"

Matthew nodded happily and replied, "It sure does."

(Back now. ^^)

Lycoris nodded happily and replied,

"Yes, it sure does and I am sure it will taste just as wonderful. Are the other kinds of fried rice prepared the same way?"

(Welcome back.  I won't be here long since I've got a pretty bad headache but I'll post while I can.  ^^)

The head chef nodded and replied, "Yup, that's right, miss.  The ingredients vary slightly but the process is the same."

(Getting sleepy here now so I'll get off for the night and go to sleep.  I'll check back tomorrow and post again. Nite, nite, Love.  ^^)

Lycoris nodded in understanding and replied, "I see. So the rice gets its flavor from the ingredients it gets fried with, right? Does the rice get boiled at one point?"

(Ahh it's ok.  I feel much better today.  ^^)

The head chef nodded and replied, "Yup, that's right, miss.  What we have to do is initially rinse the rice several times so it's clean and after letting it sit for several minutes, then we boil it in a large pot.  Once the rice is cooked, then we mix it along with the other ingredients to make fried rice."

(I am happy to hear that. ^^ I'll head to college later during the afternoon but I'll try to post a couple more times before I go and all. ^^)

Lycoris nodded in understanding and replied, "That sounds like a lot of fun and it smells great. I can't wait to try it out."

(Here fried rice is prepared differently. We fry first then boil the rice when it gets a bit of a golden color. XD)

(Ahh ok and ahh I see.  Yeah, here, we cook the rice first and then stir fry it and all of the other ingredients together.  XD)

The head chef replied, "I'll look forward to hearing your opinion of our cooking, miss.  There will be lots of food ready for you and everyone else."

(I see. I wonder if it tastes any different. XD)

Lycoris replied happily, "Thanks, sir."

She paused then said, "We shouldn't take up any more of your time. Thank you so much for giving us the chance to be around and watch you all at work."

(That's a good question.  XD)

The head chef smiled softly and replied, "You're welcome, miss.  We're very happy to have such a beautiful lady like yourself see how we work.  Dinner's almost ready so perhaps you and the master would like to let the others know?"

Lycoris nodded happily and replied, "Yes, we should do that."

She addressed Matthew as she said, "Let's go, Matt. We should tell the others that dinner is almost ready. I can't wait to try all these delicious foods."
