Romance RP

Matthew nodded happily and replied, "All right."

He then took a piece of dough, flattened it like so, put just enough of the beef mixture on top, and then surrounded the dough and shaped it into a ball.  Once he was done, he asked,

"How's that?"

The chef nodded in approval and replied, "It looks good, sir."

(I'll get going to work this afternoon and I won't be back until really late tonight.  I'll try to post when I get back but I may not be able to post long due to how late I'm getting back.  ^^)

(I understand. ^^)

Lycoris grinned happily and said, "Great job, Matt."

She paused then smiling gratefully, she said, "Thank you very much for letting us help out, sir. It was fun. We won't take more of your time but again, thanks a lot."

(I just got back in so I'll post now.  I'm still checking on things and then I'll need to clean up around here but I'll be back as soon as I'm done.  ^^)

The chef returned Lycoris' smile and replied, "You're welcome, miss.  I'm happy you enjoyed the experience."

Matthew turned to Lycoris and said, "Let's go to the next station, shall we?"

(Sorry I wasn't able to get on to RP. I had plenty of housechores to take care of then we had lunch and all. ^^ I'll be here tomorrow as usual though. ^^)

Lycoris nodded happily and replied, "Sure. Can we check the egg rolls station? I am curious about these. They sound interesting although I've never tried them. Are they eggs rolled in some dough or something?"

(Ahh it's ok, I understand.  ^^)

Matthew smiled a bit and shaking his head, he replied, "No, not really.  They're like dumplings but the wrapping that surrounds the beef mixture is made out of a special flat dough, one of the ingredients is eggs.  I should let the chef in charge explain it better."

He led Lycoris towards the egg roll station, where the chef in charge had already made some egg rolls to prepare for deep frying.

Lycoris nodded happily and followed Matthew to the chef in charge of making the egg rolls. Once they were there, she smiled softly and said,

"Hello, sir. I hope we aren't bothering you or anything. Are you making the egg rolls, sir?"

The chef nodded happily and replied, "Yes, I am, miss.  I've already made some but perhaps you and the young master would like to try making some, too?"

Lycoris nodded happily and replied,

"Yes, I would like that very much. Could you show me how it is done, sir? Is it wrapped like dumplings?"

(Sorry I'm late in posting tonight.  I'm not feeling well but I'll try to post as much as I can before I go to sleep.  ^^)

The chef looked thoughtful and replied, "Kind of but the skin for egg rolls is thinner although they do have a similar beef mixture inside."

He then explained the process for making egg rolls, including all the steps he had taken until now.

(Aww I hope you feel better soon, phoenix. If you'd like to log off to take a break and all, I understand. ^^)

Lycoris listened carefully and nodding in understanding when the chef was done, she said, "Ok, I'll try to make one now."

She reached out and tried to follow the chef's instructions as closely as possible, making her egg roll.

(It's ok.  It's just cramps and all so I've been lying down.  The worst of it should be over after this weekend but yeah, I'll just take it easy until then.  ^^)

Matthew watched as Lycoris made her egg roll and helped out when it seemed appropriate to do so.  The chef watched and nodding, he said,

"That's good, miss.  Just like that.  The hard part will be wrapping it up.  You should take your time doing so since this is your first time.

(I understand. ^^)

Lycoris nodded and doing her best, she wrapped the egg roll slowly, trying to make it as good as possible. It wasn't perfect, but it was fair enough.

She nervously asked, "How is it?"

The chef observed Lycoris' work and nodding, he replied, "That's a pretty good for a first try.  Would you like to try another?"

He handed Lycoris the ingredients so she could make another egg roll.

Lycoris nodded happily and replied, "Yes, I'll make it better this time."

She gave it another try and this time, she made a better one, having avoided the mistakes she made with the first one.

The chef watched as Lycoris made her second egg roll and after she was done, he nodded in approval and said, "Much better, miss.  You learn quickly.  It's ok to make mistakes as long as we learn from them and you definitely do learn from them."

Matthew nodded happily and replied, "Most definitely."

(Getting sleepy so I'll get off for the night now and go to sleep.  I'll post again tomorrow before I go out for the day.  Nite, nite, Love.  ^^)

Lycoris smiled softly, happy to hear the chef's encouraging words. She replied happily,

"Thank you, sir. I am really glad I did it right. Thank you for letting us help you. You really work a lot to make such delicious food."

The chef smiled softly and replied, "Thank you, miss.  It's a great pleasure to make delicious food for the masters and for wonderful guests like you."

He paused and then asked, "Would you like to check out the spring rolls station next?  Spring rolls are like egg rolls but they're smaller and they taste crispier."

Lycoris nodded excitedly and replied,

"Yes, I'd love that. I can see that most food belonging to this theme are kind of different wrappings, right? Different foods, each in its own dough and cooked in a certain way?"

(Ahh I am heading to college for the day so I won't be able to RP today although I'll post when I come back of course. Tomorrow is a day off, however, so I'll be here then. See you tomorrow, phoenix. ^^)

The chef nodded and replied, "Yup, that's right.  The fried rice that the head chef and a couple of the others are cooking are the main dishes although egg rolls, spring rolls, and dumplings are wonderful additions."

Lycoris nodded happily and understanding, she replied,

"I can imagine. And they're so fun to create too. I've only tasted the fried rice before although I am sure the dumplings and rolls will taste just as delicious."

Addressing Matthew, she happily asked, "Can we check the spring rolls station?"

Matthew nodded happily and replied, "Of course."

He thanked the chef at the egg rolls station and as the couple headed to the spring rolls station, Matthew asked Lycoris,

"Is it interesting to learn how different foods are prepared?"

Lycoris nodded excitedly and replied,

"Definitely. It is really beautiful and interesting to see how delicious foods are created. I wish I could learn how to cook and make delicious meals myself. It is a lot of fun."

Matthew nodded happily and replied, "It sure is and to see your creations become food you can eat.  That's amazing."

The couple arrived at the spring rolls station and the chef there smiled softly to them and said,

"Hello.  I've made quite a lot of spring rolls already and they're coming along nicely."

Lycoris smiled happily to the chef and replied,

"Hello, sir. Could you please show me how you roll a spring roll? The chef over there said that it's a little different from rolling egg rolls."

The chef nodded and replied, "Sure, miss.  The process is almost the same-there's just the slight difference when it comes to the wrapper for spring rolls as well as a difference in the beef mixture inside."

The chef explained how the mixture for spring rolls was made and then the process for wrapping the spring rolls.
