Romance RP

Matthew chuckled and thinking about Lycoris' comment, he replied,

"Hey, I wonder.  Do you want to dance with me?  At least for a little bit?"

Lycoris blushed a little but keeping her smile, she said,

"I would like to but who would play the music if both of us would dance?"

Matthew looked disappointed and replied, "Awww that's true.  Perhaps another time then?  I mean, I would really love to dance with you at least once, Lycoris."

He gazed on happily and fondly at her.

Lycoris blushed even deeper and replied shyly,

"I would like to as well. I wish I could use my magic at the moment. I think I know a minor spell to make music in the air so that might have worked."

Matthew looked interested and replied, "Oh I see.  I had no idea it was possible to do so with magic but after our conversation with the others earlier about magic in the gods' world, nothing should surprise me anymore."

Lycoris giggled happily and replied,

"I guess that's true. But magic can do anything, I think, if you are powerful enough. I remember how Ryan used to use magic to take care of almost anything, as simple as it may be."

She looked thoughtful as she remembered her time with Ryan in his house.

Matthew was momentarily confused as Lycoris mentioned Ryan but then remembering that he did see him earlier with Lisianthus, he replied,

"Ahh yes, Bryan's twin brother.  I had no idea Bryan had a twin.  I wonder how all that came about?"

Lycoris smiled softly and replied,

"Oh yes, you didn't know. It's a long story but Ryan and Bryan were separated at birth and they were only reunited recently. He's a lot different from Bryan though and he's a powerful dark magic sorcerer. He's currently engaged to Sia, the queen of the gods' world so he will be king soon too."

Matthew nodded in understanding and replied, "Ahh I see.  That makes sense.  I suppose Bryan hasn't had a chance to explain all of this to me."

Remembering that something Lisianthus told him earlier, Matthew added, "The queen said that Bryan and his wife are staying at the castle, too."

(I don't remember if that actually happened in the RP but I think it did.  XD)

(Ahh yup, Lisianthus mentioned it. XD)

Lycoris looked curious and replied,

"Really? So they're here too? Are they helping Sia and Ryan look for me, Alex and Nerine?"

(Ahh ok.  I thought so but I wasn't totally sure.  XD)

Matthew looked thoughtful and replied, "Probably.  I mean, if Bryan and Rosaline just wanted to return home, they wouldn't be staying at the castle."

Lycoris sighed sadly and replied,

"I really feel horrible for causing all this trouble for everyone but I wish they would just understand. I mean, if they would only see things the way I do. But they only think that the shapeshifter is bad for wanting to sacrifice me although I want to do so myself. The shapeshifter isn't forcing me to or anything."

Matthew nodded and gently patting Lycoris' hands, he replied,

"I know.  They only see the shapeshifter as a villain but I've met her and she isn't bad.  She's quiet and reserved but I can understand why she is that way.  I've found that most people aren't usually one-sided."

Lycoris smiled softly and replied,

"Yes, that's true. She's got a kind side, too although she doesn't let others see it. But I got the chance to see it before and I know it's in there."

She patted Matthew's hand and with the same smile, she said,

"Thank you for understanding me, Matt. You're wonderful for just that."

Matthew blushed and replied, "Awww thanks, Lycoris.  I'm happy that I was able to help her out and to see Lady Penelope so happy to learn that her daughter will always be healthy.  That makes it worth being a doctor."

Lycoris smiled softly and replied,

"I can imagine. It must be a lot of hard work to be a doctor but the rewards are worth it in the end, right? To see a patient who was once in pain all healthy and well because of your work. It's beautiful."

Matthew nodded and replied, "Yup, most definitely.  Our family has done wonderful work in helping out the sick and injured over many years and medical science has only gotten better.  Of course, combined with my healing abilities, I can help out a lot more patients which was the actual reason I wanted to master this ability."

Lycoris nodded happily and replied,

"I am sure of that. It's really admirable how you improved yourself and grew your skills to help others."

She looked thoughtful then said, "I have a question. Have you ever had a case that you couldn't heal?"

Matthew shook his head and replied, "That's never happened.  I mean, I have had a few cases where the patient experienced complications but I was quickly able to remedy the problem and heal them.  I guess that's weird, huh?  A doctor should have a few cases where they couldn't help the patient."

Lycoris smiled happily and said,

"Hey, it proves how good you are."

With a quieter tone, she smiled sadly and almost whispered, "I guess you could heal my blindness too, if I let you."

Matthew heard Lycoris' words and gently replied,

"Hey, Lycoris, I know you want to sacrifice yourself to save the devils' world and I understand but I don't understand why you don't want me to at least try to heal your blindness.  I've done lots of research and trials on your condition and there is a very high chance that I can do it.  I want to do it for you."

He looked meaningfully at Lycoris, even though he knew that Lycoris wouldn't be able to see his face or expression.

(Getting sleepy now so I'll get off for the night and go to sleep.  I'll post again tomorrow before I go to work and all.  Nite, nite, Love.  ^^)

Lycoris was silent for a moment but then shaking her head, she quietly replied,

"It doesn't matter. You just said it; I'll sacrifice myself soon so what's the use? Healing my blindness now won't make any difference."

There was another reason she didn't want her blindness cured but she refrained from revealing it.

Matthew felt as though Lycoris was holding something back and he gently replied, "Is there something else, Lycoris?  If there is, you know you can tell me and I won't tell anyone else if you'd prefer that it remain between us."

(Sorry I didn't post earlier. The power was cut off since the morning and just came back now. O.o)

Lycoris quickly shook her head and replied, "It-it's nothing. Please, let's not talk about this anymore, Matt? I don't want to have my eyesight back; it doesn't matter. I mean, if I had a long life ahead of me, I would have considered it but that's not the case."

(Ahh that's ok.  I'm glad you're able to post now and I'm all done with work for the week.  ^^)

Matthew looked sadly at Lycoris but nodding, he replied, "All right.  I'll respect your wishes."

Thinking that a change of subject was in order, he asked, "What would you like for me to play next?"
