Romance RP

Matthew looked thoughtful and replied, "Well, either I like to be in the gardens or read a good book or practice the piano.  I'm not anywhere as talented as Bryan but I love getting to play.  It helps me to relax."

Lycoris' eyes lit up as Matthew mentioned playing the piano and replied happily,

"Then I'd love to hear you play. Would I be asking for much? I am sure you can play some beautiful music and I am curious to hear."

Matthew blushed and replied, "Are you sure, Lycoris?  I mean, I'd be happy to play for you if you'd like but I must warn you that I might make mistakes here and there.  Still, if you want to hear me play, I'd be delighted to."

Lycoris nodded happily and replied,

"Of course, I'd love to. I am not a music expert so don't worry about making mistakes. I am sure I'll enjoy a beautiful piece of music as a whole. Come on, please."

She made a cute, pleading look.

Matthew chuckled softly and replied, "All right then.  We'll head to the music room since that's where the piano is."

He got up and helped Lycoris to her feet, and then gently holding her arm, he led the way out of the kitchen and towards the music room.

Lycoris got up and holding to Matthew's arm, she followed him to the music room, looking forward to hearing him play. As they were on the way, she happily asked,

"So what kind of music will you play for me?"

Matthew looked thoughtful and replied, "I was thinking of a slow ballad piece-one that's about love and peace and understanding in the world.  What do you think?  Or would you prefer something else?"

Lycoris smiled and nodding, she said,

"That sounds quite sweet. I would love it very much and I am curious to hear you play it. Ok, it's a plan then."

Matthew nodded happily and replied, "All right then."

The couple had arrived in the music room and Matthew helped Lycoris into a comfortable chair.  Then Matthew took his seat on the piano bench and positioning his fingers over the piano keys, he began to play the slow, beautiful ballad.

Lycoris listened attentively as Matthew played the music, a beautiful smile on her face as she silently admired it and admired Matthew's playing, as it was beautiful and soothing, and it brought a look of happiness to her face.

As Matthew played, he would sneak glances at Lycoris and saw how happy she was to listen to him.  Seeing her face light up in happiness made him smile and he continued to play for her, doing his best to play the piece with as few mistakes as possible.

Lycoris continued to listen happily, enjoying every single melody and tune, a happy smile on her face. She didn't notice any mistakes as she continued to enjoy the mood the song made, feeling quite peaceful like so.

Matthew continued to play for a few more minutes until the piece ended.  Once he was done, he turned to Lycoris and asked,

"So what did you think?  Did you like it?"

(Getting sleepy here now so I'll get off for the night and go to sleep.  Thanks for helping me out today and listening to me.  I appreciate it.  I'll be back tomorrow and I'll post before I go out for work.  Nite, nite for now.  ^^  )

Lycoris clapped happily and smiling with delight, she said,

"This was really beautiful. Hey, don't underestimate yourself again. You can play with a lot of talent. That piece was very peaceful and so touching."

(Woke up a little while ago so I'll make this post now although I have work earlier today.  ^^)

Matthew blushed and replied, "Awww thanks, Lycoris.  Playing the piano is like cooking; I put a lot of my heart and soul into it."

He paused and then asked, "Do you have any song requests?"

(Take your time. ^^)

Lycoris looked thoughtful then happily asked,

"Can you play something that is more fast-paced? I like these songs too. Although they aren't as peaceful as quiet melodies and all, they give a certain sense of happiness and energy."

(Thanks.  I got back a little while ago although I'm still checking up on things but I'll be back as soon as I'm done.  ^^)

Matthew nodded and replied, "I can do that although the mistakes will be noticeable.  Still, I'll try my best for you.  How about a piece about happy celebrations around the world?  It's certainly fast-paced.

Lycoris nodded happily and said,

"Sure, I'd love that and no worries about the mistakes. I probably won't notice them and even if I did, I'll enjoy the musical piece as a whole."

(All done checking on things.  ^^  In case you're wondering as well, I've had a really good day.  I am tired physically but emotionally, I'm much better.  Folke hasn't poked me to talk on Skype so I think my method of dealing with him is working.  ^^)

Matthew nodded and replied, "All right then.  One happy, fast-paced piece coming right up."

He took a breath, positioned his fingers over the piano keys, and then began to play the fast-paced piece, doing his best to be as accurate as possible although he did make more mistakes than in his previous piece.

(Coolies, I am really happy to hear that. I hope things can continue going well and you get the time and relaxation you need. ^^)

Lycoris listened to the fast-paced piece with happiness and although she noticed the mistakes while he played, she didn't pay attention to them, enjoying the happy tunes instead.

(Thanks.  I'm gaming on Steam but I'm here so I'll post as much as I can before I go to sleep.  ^^)

Matthew continued to play the piano piece with a lot of excitement and enthusiasm, getting more and more into the song.  He would cast occasional glances at Lycoris and could see how happy she was and it made him smile.

(Ok. ^^)

Lycoris continued listening to the song happily, clapping softly as she did, enjoying its tunes and melodies. Her smile continued on her face, as she felt carefree and happy that moment.

Matthew continued to play the song happily to his delight and after a couple more minutes, the song ended.  He turned to Lycoris and happily asked,

"Did you like it?"

Lycoris clapped happily and nodding, she replied,

"Yes, I liked it very much. It was beautiful and full of energy. You made some mistakes here and there but nothing that spoiled it for me. You know, it was that kind of happy song that makes you want to get up and dance to it."

She giggled happily over her comment.

Matthew chuckled and thinking about Lycoris' comment, he replied,

"Hey, I wonder.  Do you want to dance with me?  At least for a little bit?"
