Romance RP

Immediately alarmed, Ryan got up from his seat and rushed over to Lisianthus' side.  Looking at her with a lot of worry, he asked,

"Sia, are you hurt?  Should I take you to a healer?"

(Getting sleepy now so I'll get off for the night and go to sleep.  I'll check back tomorrow and post again.  Nite, nite, Love.  ^^)

Lisianthus slowly sat up and nodding, she replied quietly,

"I-I am fine. It was just a blow. No need to worry."

She paused then shaking her head negatively to herself, she whispered, "I'm distracted today."

Ryan heard Lisianthus' latter words, unsure of whether she had meant for him to hear them.  However, he could see that he was getting to her in some way.  So helping her up, he asked,

"Do you want to rest for a bit?  And then perhaps you can spar with me afterwards?"

Lisianthus looked at Ryan without saying anything for a moment but then nodding, she said, "Ok, that sounds good."

She followed Ryan to the nearby bench so she could rest a little and take her breath.

Ryan helped Lisianthus to a seat on the bench and then casting a minor spell, there appeared a water bottle in his hands.  Handing it to her, he said,

"Here's some water, Sia."

(Just wanted to give a heads up but I'm probably not going to post more tonight.  Something really bad happened and I'm in tears but I'll message you tomorrow about it.)

Lisianthus took the water bottle from Ryan and replied, "Thanks."

She opened the bottle and drank a little from the water in it. She remained quiet, although it was very much unlike her, but she wanted to keep a distance from Ryan as much as possible.

(I'm feeling a bit better now although this'll be the last post I make for today.)

Ryan noticed how quiet Lisianthus was but he didn't push her to talk.  So he stayed by her side, remaining as quiet as possible.

(O.O Is everything ok? What happened?)

Lisianthus remained quiet for a while, taking her time to rest. After a bit, she turned to Ryan and asked,

"So, you'll help me practice? You'll be my opponent?"

Ryan nodded and replied, "Of course.  I said I would so we can see how we do against each other.  So when you're ready, we can begin anytime."

Lisianthus nodded and as she was feeling rested, she got up and said,

"Ok then. In that case, let's start now."

She thought that perhaps this was a good idea, as if Ryan were her opponent, she would be able to focus more on the fight and be less distracted.

Ryan got up as well and took a position opposite of Lisianthus.  He took a defensive stance and immediately activated a magical shield around himself, waiting for her to make the first move.

Lisianthus observed as Ryan took his defensive stance and summoned his shield. Summoning her sword, she marched at him, attacking his shield with all her strength, aiming to break his shield to expose him.

Ryan kept up his defensive shield as Lisianthus attacked him head on.  As he was a powerful magic wielder, the shield couldn't be easily broken, as it had very few weak spots and Lisianthus had yet to hit them.

Lisianthus continued attacking Ryan's shield furiously, although she could see that it was quite powerful and wouldn't be easily broken. She wasn't surprised; as she knew what a powerful sorcerer Ryan was so she was quite well aware that this fight was a challenge.

As her attacks continued to be fruitless, she paused to take her breath, trying to think of another tactic if there were any.

Ryan kept his shield up and observed as Lisianthus took a break, wondering what move she would make.  He knew that she'd have to try something different, as her current strategy wasn't working.

Lisianthus took her breath, but her mind was working in the same time, thinking of a different way to attack. Getting an idea, she took a different stance, holding her sword in one hand horizontally, then marching at Ryan, she attacked his shield once more but this time in a circular motion, running around him while her sword penetrated his shield the whole time. This way, the shield would surely weaken a lot faster.

Ryan found it difficult to keep up his shield and he decided to cast it away, jumping away from Lisianthus to give himself a bit of distance.  Then he decided to try something else, casting a small storm of fireballs that aimed towards Lisianthus.

Lisianthus saw that her tactic to break the shield worked although she was alarmed as Ryan cast the small storm of fireballs at her. She quickly jumped away then used her sword to defend herself, deflecting some of the fireballs while hitting others back at Ryan, reflecting them to him.

Ryan was impressed as Lisianthus was able to swat the fireballs back towards him and then he used a reflect spell to send them back in Lisianthus' direction.

(I'm multi-tasking so I may be really slow in posting.  XD)

Lisianthus saw that Ryan was reflecting the balls back at her but she would do her best to send them back once more to Ryan. Although she was getting tired as this required a large amount of stamina on her part, she was doing well so far.

(It's ok.  I was doing other stuff so I'm only replying now.  XD)

Ryan could see how well Lisianthus was reflecting the fireballs so he decided to try another magic attack.  He made the fireballs dissipate and cast a dark wave energy spell towards Lisianthus.

(No problem. XD)

Lisianthus saw the dark wave coming at her and was able to avoid it just on time. As she was getting a bit tired of having to deflect Ryan's attacks like that, she decided to try something new. She summoned a reflective shield around her, trying to reflect any attacks Ryan would cast at her. This was a spell she learned recently, as she had decided to work a little on her magic when Ryan was away with Lycoris in the humans' world.

(Sorry for the really late reply but I'll make one more post and then go to bed.  XD)

Ryan was surprised as Lisianthus was able to cast a magic spell to deflect his spell and immediately, he cast a reflect spell as well, to send the dark wave back at Lisianthus, watching to see what she would do.

Lisianthus groaned to herself as Ryan sent the dark wave back at her and she kept her shield in place, reflecting it back at him once more. However, as she wasn't too strong magically, she wasn't able to keep up her shield for long and had to let it down. However, she kept her sword ready in a defensive stance to be able to deflect any attacks coming from Ryan once more.
