Ryan replied,

Yeah, she did.  I would never hurt Sia, especially like that.  I'd rather take my own life first before ever harming her.

Irene replied,

I'm sure of that, Ryan. If I hadn't had so much faith in your love for Lisianthus, I wouldn't have been so sure that you're the one for her. That's what saddens me that most; both of you love each other deeply yet a small misunderstanding is keeping you apart. I really hope to see you two together again soon. None of you deserve to suffer like this.

Ryan smiled a bit and replied,

Thank you, Duchess Irene.  I hope that Sia and I can get back together soon.  I miss her so much.

Irene smiled a bit as well and replied,

I am sure of that, Ryan.



She paused then said,

I'm on way back to the castle at the moment. I know you skipped dinner in order to sneak on Lisianthus in the stables and I haven't had anything to eat either. Would you like that we have something together?

Ryan replied,

Yes, I would like that very much.  Shall we have dinner in my room or yours?

Irene replied,

We can have it in my room. I'll ask the maid telepathically to have it prepared by the time I arrive at the castle, and you can wait for me there if you like.

Ryan replied,

Yes, that sounds good.  I'll head to your room now and wait for you.  I'll see you soon, Duchess Irene.


He then shut off the telepathy and then left his room, heading to Irene's room so that he could have dinner with her.

(Random but I have good news.  The VN I've been editing has finally been released (although it won't be on Steam until next month but it is available now on the dev's site) and I got paid so I can definitely buy Shuffle! when it comes out on Steam next month.  Also, I'll be editing another VN this week.  ^^)

(Woot, that's great news. ^^ I'm glad things are going well on your end. ^^ Curious but which VN will you be editing next? XD)

Meanwhile, Irene contacted a maid to prepare dinner until she arrived. Shortly after, Irene's carriage had made it in front of the castle and Irene went out of it and headed to her room directly where Ryan was waiting.

She knocked on the door and after entering, she smiled to Ryan and said,

"Hello, Ryan."

(Ahh there will be a slight delay in my posting since I'll have lunch and all. XD)

(There isn't a name for it yet but I'm working with the same dev who released Princess of Ruin, Heartstring Bugs, and Frozen Essence.  And ok.  ^^)

Ryan got up and after bowing politely to Irene, he said,

"Hello, Duchess Irene.  Did you trip from the academy go smoothly?"

(I see. Good luck with it and all and I'm back now. XD)

Irene nodded and after gesturing for Ryan to take a seat and getting seated herself, she said,

"Yes, it did. It was an uneventful day overall, except for the news you told me, I suppose."

A little later, there was a knock on the door and a maid entered with a tray of dinner. She laid it out on the table then bowed and took her leave.

Ryan nodded and replied, "I see.  I'm glad that work has been like the usual for you."

He took a breath and then added, "I hope that I can fix things with Sia soon.  It feels lonely without her."

Irene sighed and looking at Ryan sympathetically, she replied,

"I know that Lisianthus hasn't been making it easy, Ryan. I know and I am sorry. I am really glad that you aren't giving up on this. It only proves to me how much you love her."

Ryan smiled softly and replied, "I do.  I love Sia so very much and I want her to see that I do.  I hope that she'll listen to her heart and take me back.  It would mean everything to me for her to do so."

Irene couldn't help but smile at hearing Ryan's words and replied,

"I'm sure that if Lisianthus were here now and heard these words from you, she would immediately forgive you and take you back. She may be a little stubborn, or pretty stubborn, but she has a big heart and she loves you just as much. I have faith you two will be back together, no matter how long it takes."

She paused then added, "You mean everything to her, Ryan. Even if she's trying to let go and forget you, she's trying to do so because she knows that you're her whole world."

Ryan nodded and replied, "Yes, I see.  Well, I'm not going to make it that easy on her.  I won't ever let Sia go.  If she's being stubborn, I can be stubborn as well."

He had this determined look on his face, resolved to fix things with Lisianthus.

Irene smiled at Ryan's determination and said, "That's the spirit. I know that it won't be long before I see you two together again."

Seeing the dinner that was laid out in front of them, she said, "Well, why don't we start eating? We both skipped dinner at its time so I'm pretty sure you're as hungry as I am."

Ryan nodded and replied, "Yup, I sure am."

Taking his fork, he began to eat his food, as he was indeed very hungry from having skipped out on dinner earlier served in the dining room.

Irene started eating her dinner as well, getting back some of the energy she spent during work earlier. As both of them ate, Irene looked at Ryan and asked,

"How is Lycoris doing? I can't help but feel a little guilty that we're neglecting her issue although we can't help it."

Ryan replied,

"I talked to her earlier and she seems to be well.  She's being treated well although she misses everyone and that's understandable."

(Getting sleepy so I'll get off for the night now and go to sleep.  I'll check back tomorrow and post again.  Nite, nite, Love.  ^^)

Irene nodded in understanding and replied,

"It can only be expected but if you fix things with Lisianthus, then you can convince her to bring Lycoris here and she won't feel lonely anymore."

She paused then said, "Lycoris' issue is even more complicated. Sometimes I wonder how it will eventually end, whether she will really give up her powers or not, and how the shapeshifter would accept it if not. There's also that captain who hadn't showed up in a long while now."

Ryan had almost forgotten about the captain but nodding, he replied,

"Yes, that's right.  Do you think he might be planning or waiting for his chance?"

Irene nodded and replied,

"That must be the case. Personally, I don't think the captain would have given up on Lycoris or anything like that. He might be planning something and waiting for his chance to strike. Well, I hope he doesn't show up anytime soon."

Ryan nodded and replied,

"Same here.  We need to get Lycoris back safely so that the captain may never harm her.  Also, he needs to be brought to justice.  He's definitely a villain."

Irene nodded and replied,

"That's for sure. I am pretty certain that Lisianthus has him in mind and once he shows up again, she won't save any effort to catch him and bring him to justice. And don't worry about Lycoris. The fact that Lisianthus is hiding her is kind of protecting her. Not many know of the place where she's kept."

Ryan nodded and replied,

"Yes, that's true.  It's a good thing that Sia has kept Lycoris in a very safe, well-hidden place."
