Romance RP

The head healer received Ryan's telepathic message and replied that he was fine with anything but also said that he would be coming downstairs to help with preparing lunch as well. Indeed, he immediately headed downstairs to the kitchen to help Ryan with lunch making and all.

Lady Penelope listened with great interest as Alex told her about his friend and once done, she happily said,

"Wow, I am really interested in meeting her, you know? Especially after knowing that she's such a powerful light sorceress and healer. As a teacher in those fields, I'm always interested in meeting such talented and powerful wielders."

Ryan greeted the head healer with a warm smile and said,

"Welcome, sir.  I'm happy to have help with the lunch preparations and Lycoris wanted to come down as well."

Alex nodded happily and replied, "Ahh yes, that's right.  You two have the same specializations in magic and your personalities are similar as well.  You'd like her, I think.  From what I last heard, she's currently staying with her sister, the queen, in Lessire."

(I really have no idea since it's been a long since we got to that part of the RP.  lol)

(Sorry for the delay. My mother called for lunch and I had to get up quickly. XD)

The head healer smiled at Ryan but he was surprised to know that Lycoris was here. Frowning slightly, he gently said,

"Why did you get up from bed, my lady? No, no, this isn't right. You must rest completely. Even getting up from bed and walking is an effort you shouldn't do."

(Ahh I think that's right. XD)

Lady Penelope was even more interested and replied, "Ooh? Her sister is the queen of Lessire? I honestly have no idea where Lessire is but I am assuming it's a kingdom in the humans' world? You really have some interesting friends, darling."

(Ahh no problem.  XD)

Ryan replied, "Lycoris didn't want to stay confined to our room and she wanted the exercise as well.  But perhaps you are right, sir.  She shouldn't overexert herself."

Alex smiled and replied, "Thank you, my lady, and yes, Lessire is a kingdom in the human world.  It's much bigger than Devenshire.  Have you seen many kingdoms in the human world?"

Lycoris looked disappointed and replied, "I don't want to remain in bed all the time, sir. It's really boring and it makes me feel pretty weak."

The head healer nodded in understanding but gently replied, "I understand, my lady, but your health remains our top priority. Once you get at least slightly better, you can do all you feel like. Your body is quite weak at the moment, my lady."

Lady Penelope shook her head and replied, "I've been to the humans' world a couple of times before but I haven't seen much of it. I really want to go sometime again to take a full tour of it. Perhaps you can be my guide, dear? I am sure you'd show me a lot of beautiful things, huh?"

She looked happily at Alex, excited about the idea.

Ryan replied, "That's true and after lunch, I'll make sure to take Lycoris back to our room so she can rest."

He looked to Lycoris and added, "But since you're feeling better, you can play with our boys, yes?"

The puppies looked on happily at Lycoris and barked cheerfully at her.

Alex nodded happily and replied, "Sure, I'd love that.  I traveled quite a bit before so I'd be a great guide to show you around."

(Getting late here so I should get off for the night now and go to sleep.  I hope you have a wonderful birthday, Love, and I'll post again tomorrow after I get back from work and all.  Nite, nite.  ^^)

Although Lycoris was still feeling a bit disappointed, she felt a little cheered up as the puppies barked at her. Smiling softly, she nodded and said,

"Of course. I enjoy doing that anytime."

The head healer smiled softly as well and then went to Ryan's side to help him with preparing lunch.

Lady Penelope replied happily, "It's an agreement then. And you'd introduce me to your friend? I'm quite interested in meeting her and discussing all we know about light magic. I wonder if it's the same we know here in the gods' world."

(Sorry for getting back a little later today but my dad wanted to go out to dinner and then I had some other things to take care of.  But at least I'm free now.  XD)

Ryan was grateful for the head healer's help as the two of them prepared lunch.  It took a little time but soon the food was all prepared.  It was nothing more than sandwiches and soup but it all looked very tasty.

After the food was all set on the table, the two gentlemen took their seats and Ryan said,

"Lunch is all ready, Lycoris.  I hope you like it."

Alex looked thoughtful and replied, "I'm not sure but perhaps.  I'd be happy to introduce you to Serena.  Would your daughter be interested in meeting her, too?"

(Ahh I understand and welcome back. XD)

Lycoris smiled softly and replied, "Thanks, Ryan and sir. I am sure it tastes very delicious."

She reached out for a sandwich and after taking a bite, she said, "Yup, it's definitely very tasty."

Lady Penelope looked thoughtful then happily replied,

"I am not sure but she might. In any case, I think there would be a lot of things in common between us and we'd like each other."

Ryan grinned and replied, "I'm happy to hear that."

He took his sandwich and began to eat as well, relishing the taste.

Alex nodded and replied, "I'm sure of that as well.  Magic runs very deeply in Serena's family.  I'd say the gods' world is definitely more specialized in magic, though.  There is the academy in Cephiron, after all.  As far as I know, there aren't any special magic schools in the human world."

Lycoris and the head healer ate their food as well, enjoying the taste and getting enough energy for the afternoon. The atmosphere was peaceful and it was a happy lunch.

Lady Penelope looked curious and replied, "Really? Why is that? If some humans know magic and all, why aren't there any magic schools? These can be great to make them more powerful and grow their talents."

As everyone ate, Ryan thought it would be a good idea to make conversation so turning to the head healer, he asked,

"How are you enjoying your stay here, sir?"

Alex shrugged and replied, "I'm not really sure about that but generally, humans want to focus more on science and knowledge.  I heard that magic is heavily relied on in the gods' world but not so much in the human world.  There used to be more sorcerers in the human world but that number is slowing getting to be fewer."

The head healer smiled softly to Ryan and said,

"My stay here is very pleasant, thanks, sir. The library is full of books and they're enough to keep me occupied. Of course, having you and the lady for company is quite enjoyable as well."

Lady Penelope nodded in understanding and replied, "I see. So humans are more dependent on science and all. That's interesting."

She looked thoughtful for a moment then happily said, "It really is intriguing, the difference between our worlds."

Ryan nodded and replied, "I'm glad to hear of that.  We have a lot of books in the library, collected over the years from my mentor and myself.  Most places in the human world are pretty normal but this home is very strong magically.  I've been quite lucky to have been raised here."

Alex nodded and replied, "Yes, that is true.  Out of curiosity, how does the devils' world differ from our two worlds?"

The head healer nodded and replied, "I can sense that. The magical energy in this house can be felt by any strong sorcerer inside it. You've been indeed quite lucky, sir. I am sure your mentor must have been quite the talented and powerful sorcerer as well?"

Lady Penelope looked thoughtful and replied, "I think it's more similar to the gods' world. It's a lot smaller though. Devils were always more interested in magic, too, but they were a bit more to themselves, you know? Like for example, you wouldn't see any gods or humans holding important positions in the devils' world. Even royalty had to marry just devils. They trusted only their own race when it came to important things but of course, there were close relationships at least with the gods' world."

Ryan smiled softly and replied, "He sure was.  You would have liked him, sir.  Not only was he powerful, he was very kind and a great teacher.  I couldn't have asked for anyone better to have raised me and taught me magic."

Alex replied, "I see.  But that must be quite a narrow way of thinking.  If this rule was still around, there's no way that my darling and I could have ever gotten married in the first place."

The head healer returned Ryan's smile and replied, "I'm sure he was, sir. It's a loss I couldn't get to meet him. He must have been a great man."

He was soon done eating and Lycoris was done as well.

Lady Penelope smiled sadly and nodding, she replied, "Unfortunately."

As the subject was sensitive to her, she didn't comment further. They were soon done cutting the strawberries and she happily said,

"There we go. Now we only need the cake to finish baking and we can put the frosting and strawberries on the top."

Ryan soon finished his meal as did the puppies.  Seeing that everyone was done, Ryan got up and said,

"I'll go take care of the clean up and then I'll escort Lycoris back upstairs."

He then gathered the dishes and such to the sink to wash up.

Alex smiled and replied, "Yup.  I bet that this will be the best cake that either of us has ever baked.  Thank you for allowing me to help today."

The head healer got up as well to help Ryan to clean up and wash the dishes and plates. Lycoris waited patiently for Ryan to finish to help her upstairs, as she really needed to get some rest.

Lady Penelope grinned and replied, "You're more than welcome, dear. I really enjoyed doing this with you, you know."

The cake was soon all baked and Lady Penelope fetched it happily, then the two of them began decorating it with the frosting and cut strawberries.

With the head healer's help, Ryan soon finished the clean up.  Then he returned to Lycoris and asked, "Are you ready to head upstairs?  You should get as much rest as possible."

As Alex helped Lady Penelope place the frosting and strawberries on top, he commented,

"Next time, we should persuade your daughter to join us.  It'll be more fun baking desserts with the three of us."

Lycoris nodded and replied, "Yeah, that sounds good. I'm feeling really tired now so maybe some sleep would make me feel better."

The head healer said, "I'll be in the library meanwhile so I wouldn't disturb you, sir, lady. If you need anything, please let me know right away."

He then bowed and took his leave.

Lady Penelope nodded happily and replied, "I totally agree. Perhaps it would help her relax a little."

She paused then said, "Have you tried any of the approaches we agreed on with her yet, my dear?"

(Ahh I'll be away for 30 minutes or something to take care of some chores but I'll be back soon. XD)

After the head healer left, Ryan helped Lycoris to her feet and gently escorted her upstairs with the puppies taking the lead.  Once the party arrived upstairs to the bedroom, Ryan led Lycoris to the bed where she could lie down comfortably.  He then smiled softly at her and said,

"You'd like to take a nap for a bit.  Would you like me to join you?"

Alex shook his head and replied, "Not yet, my lady.  I wasn't sure how to bring up a topic without it sounding completely odd.  But perhaps we can try one of the ideas we talked about while we have lunch.  It should be a good opportunity then."

(Back now. XD)

Lycoris smiled softly as well and nodding, she replied,

"Yes, I'd like that, if you wouldn't mind, Ryan. I still need your presence near me very much to feel safe and comfortable."

Lady Penelope nodded happily and replied, "Yes, that sounds great. I'm sure that would work out."

They were soon done decorating the cake and grinning, she said, "Now, now, doesn't it look wonderful?"

(Welcome back.  XD)

Ryan nodded happily and replied, "Of course.  I'll keep my angel safe and protected always."

He lied down next to Lycoris and wrapping his arms around her, he added, "There.  Now you'll always be safe as long as I hold you."

Alex gazed at the wonderful cake they had made and nodding, he replied, "Yup, it sure does and I bet that it will taste just as wonderful as it looks."

Lycoris cuddled close to Ryan and wrapped her arms around him as well, feeling safe and secure. She then sleepily replied,

"Of course I will be. I'll always feel safe with you here, Ryan."

She smiled softly and closed her eyes, immediately falling asleep.

Lady Penelope nodded happily and replied, "I am sure of it as well. Now let's put it in the icebox for now, eh? We can have it for dessert after lunch."
