Romance RP

Lycoris followed Ryan back to the kitchen where they refilled Robert's bucket and then went back outside to Robert. After they gave him the bucket of water, Lycoris said,

"Enjoy your breakfast, boy and eat a lot, ok? We have a fun day ahead of us so you need your energy."

(Ahh when the king and queen of Devenshire contact Lisianthus, let me know since she'll have to report to Ryan and Lycoris right away. XD)

Nerine nodded and didn't say anything, laying her head on Alex's shoulder as the couple waited. They didn't sit like that for long though because a little later, the shapeshifter reappeared, with her usual attire and hood covering her head. Seeing the couple awake, she said,

"Good, you're awake and you ate too. The captain wants to see you."

(Ahh sure.  The king and queen will contact Lisianthus first thing that morning so she should contact Ryan right away.  XD)

Robert whinnied and nodded his head.  Ryan then escorted Lycoris back inside the house and then to the kitchen.  There, he helped her into her seat and said,

"You rest here, angel, and I'll go make breakfast for all of us."

Approaching the icebox, Ryan took out the ingredients and such and began making breakfast.

Alex raised an eyebrow and with calm in his voice, he replied, "I see.  Did he say why?"

In truth, Alex wanted to avoid the captain but it looks like he wouldn't have a chance to do so.

(Ahh ok. I'll have her contact them right after breakfast then. XD)

Lycoris waited patiently as Ryan cooked them breakfast, holding the puppies in her arms and petting them gently with a happy smile over her face.

The shapeshifter shrugged and replied, "Does it matter? You're coming anyways. Like I said, don't try to anger him if you don't want to be hurt. Get up already."

Nerine had a scared look over her face, wondering what the captain could possibly want with them.

(Ok.  XD)

Ryan finished cooking breakfast for the two of them and after placing the waffles on two plates along with syrup, slices of apple, and whipped cream, he took the plates to the table along with utensils and glasses of chocolate milk.  Then he prepared bowls of puppy food and water and set them on the floor for the puppies.  Taking a seat beside Lycoris, he then said,

"Breakfast is all ready, my angel."

Alex nodded and he got up, helping Nerine to her feet.  He looked to the shapeshifter and said,

"Thank you for breakfast, by the way.  It was delicious and kind of you to look after us like this."

Lycoris looked happily at the spread of food before them and commented, "Wow, it's looking really delicious and I haven't even tasted it yet."

She took her fork and reached out to take a bite of her waffles. Happily, she said, "Yum. This is really delicious indeed. Thanks a lot, Ryan."

The shapeshifter was a little surprised by Alex's comment and although she was silent for a moment, she soon frowned and replied, "I'm not 'looking after' you. We need you alive, that's all. Otherwise, kidnapping you would be pretty pointless."

She opened the cell's door and led the couple outside, and the soldiers at the door took the same positions as before as the party went downstairs.

Ryan grinned and replied, "I'm happy you like it."

He took his fork and began to eat his breakfast as well, enjoying every bite.

As Alex and Nerine followed the shapeshifter, Alex said,

"It was still quite kind of you to give us breakfast.  I thank you for that."

He smiled softly at the shapeshifter, doing his best to be on good terms with her.

Lycoris enjoyed having her breakfast as well, savoring every bite. As they ate, she said,

"I can't wait to see the beach today. I am pretty sure it's as beautiful as everything else in this town, even if it's small."

The shapeshifter was surprised that Alex insisted on thanking her and even blushed slightly, but was grateful that she had her hood on her head so they couldn't see her facial expressions. They soon made it at the same spot from last night, where the captain was seated alone on a chair, with soldiers around him. Grinning maliciously as he saw the couple, he spoke up,

"Well, well, if it isn't a great morning spending it here with us, kids. How did you enjoy last night? Pretty pleasant, huh?"

Ryan smiled softly at Lycoris and replied, "I hope you'll like it.  It's not as big as some other beaches but in a way, the beach around here is more private.  Since it's the morning, we'll most likely have the place to ourselves.  I can't wait to show you a sand castle and collect seashells."

Alex stayed quiet, unsure of how he should reply.  He didn't want to provoke the captain but he felt that saying anything at all might unintentionally do that.  So he simply nodded and kept an even expression.

Lycoris smiled softly and replied, "I can't wait either. It will be such a fun morning."

She continued eating breakfast, soon finishing up.

The captain smirked as Alex didn't say anything, and after a moment of silence, he spoke up again in a deep, threatening voice,

"Where is the powers girl hidden? She's not at the castle anymore but you know where she is."

Ryan nodded happily and soon, he finished his breakfast as well.  Seeing that Lycoris was done as well as the puppies, Ryan got up and gathered all the plates and such to the sink.  He then began to wash everything and place things on the drying rack.

Alex raised an eyebrow and couldn't help but think to himself that this was the reason they were summoned.  He took a breath and replied,

"I don't know where Lycoris is.  Last we know, we left her back at the castle in the gods' world.  We assumed she was still there, right, darling?"

He looked to Nerine for confirmation.

Lycoris waited patiently for Ryan to finish washing the dishes and such. Meanwhile, Lisianthus had received some disturbing news from the humans' world and she did the first thing she could think of-contact Ryan and Lycoris to tell them. So reaching for her pendant, she called,

"Ryan, can you hear me? It's urgent."

Nerine quickly nodded and replied, "That's right. We were surprised when we heard she isn't there any longer."

The shapeshifer raised an eyebrow at the captain and said, "I wish you'd told me that this was the reason you asked me to get them. What a waste of time. They don't know anything."

The captain was angered at this and replied, "You buy that? That's her husband and her sister standing here. They absolutely know!"

Turning back to the couple, he said in the same tone, "I warn you, kids. You don't need to get on my nerves. Tell me right now, where she is."

Ryan had just finished cleaning up when he heard Lisianthus call for him from his pendant.  Worried, he picked it up and replied,

"Sia, what's wrong?"

Alex sighed and replied, "We really don't know, sir.  I think we need to clear some things up.  Yes, I was married to Lycoris but now we're divorced.  And as for my darling, she and Lycoris may be sisters but they have an estranged relationship at best.  So if Lycoris has indeed been moved, neither of us would have any idea where she'd be now.  She would most likely be with Ryan, though."

Lisianthus took a deep breath and replied, "I-I have some bad news. Alex and Nerine were kidnapped and you can guess who did it."

She proceeded to tell Ryan of what happened, how the king and queen of Devenshire contacted her and everything they told her.

The captain looked entertained and his anger seemed to fade away as Alex replied to him. He replied,

"Divorced, huh? What happened to the great love story you shared? That was one hell of a drama."

Frowning again, he continued, "But for you two to divorce, you'll have to know where she is so don't mess around me. If you don't tell right here, right now where the girl is, there's no telling what I can do."

Ryan got more worried as Lisianthus told him the whole story of how Alex and Nerine had been kidnapped.  After she was done, he replied,

"That captain...He's behind this.  My guess is that he's trying to lure Lycoris and me out since they haven't had any luck in finding us.  Sia, do you have a plan for getting Alex and Nerine back?"

Alex replied, "I truly don't know, sir.  When I filed the divorce papers, I sent them to the church in Devenshire and they sent the papers to the church in Cephiron.  Then I got them back and they were signed so I assumed that Lycoris was still in the gods' world.  If she isn't at the castle, then she's somewhere else there, right?  And since she's with Ryan, he would make sure that she was very well hidden."

Lisianthus sighed and she replied, "If I'd known where they were, I would have moved right away but I truly don't know. For now, I've moved as many soldiers as I could to search around the gods' world thoroughly and I even sent some to their house in Devenshire to investigate."

Meanwhile, Lycoris could hear Ryan's and Lisianthus' conversation and there was a look of pure horror all over her face as she heard of what happened to Alex and Nerine.

The captain angrily replied, "Are you trying to fool me?! She isn't at the castle! So how come you sent the papers to the church in Cephiron and they were signed when she isn't there in the first place?! You think I'd believe this nonsense?! You know where she is but there's no point in trying to deny it, understood! So speak already!"

Ryan was thinking of where the captain could be and where he might be holding Alex and Nerine.  He replied, "Are there any signs that the captain could be either in the gods' world or here?  Although I haven't seen any traces of him or his helpers."

Alex was starting to get annoyed at the captain but doing his best to keep calm, he replied,

"I told you already, sir.  I have no idea where she is.  If Ryan has moved her, do you think he would be so stupid as to tell us where she is?  I mean, if you think about it, telling us would put her in danger.  He knows that I would prioritize protecting my darling over anything else."

He sighed and added, "If you don't believe, use a truth spell or something."

Lisianthus replied, "Not here either. Wasn't I just telling you last night that it's been too quiet lately? I don't even know if the shapeshifter is still spying on us."

She paused then said, "He should be in the gods' world though. After all, it seemed like the shapeshifter spied on us quite often so it makes sense that his hideout would be in the same world as us, right?"

Although Alex's words made perfect sense, the captain took it as a challenge and angrily exclaimed, "You think you're challenging me?! Do you want me to show you what I can do to you?! Because-"

The shapeshifter spoke up at this and sounding annoyed, she said, "Hey, captain, cut it out already. They obviously don't know plus so what if we found out where she is? It's not like we're planning to attack them or something. No, we should be contacting them soon so the humans hands her over. That's the safer, smarter way of doing things."

Ryan looked thoughtful and replied, "I guess but if that were the case, someone would have spotted him by now unless he has the power to disguise himself."

He came upon a realization and then said, "I know this is going to sound weird but is it possible that he could be in the devils' world?"

Alex was a little relieved as the shapeshifter stepped in to try to talk some sense into the captain.  He stayed quiet, hoping that the captain would back off of them for now.

Lisianthus looked thoughtful and replied, "It's a probability but I doubt. I mean, the devils' world is in terrible shape at the moment save for the capital where the people are trying to survive. If he were in the capital, he would sure stick out especially with the god soldiers he has with them. If he weren't in the capital, I don't know how he'd survive with no resources at all."

She paused then said, "But we can't exclude the possibility. I'll send a group of soldiers to the capital to search thoroughly as well."

The captain turned to the shapeshifter angrily and said, "So you simply believed their nonsense? They're trying to fool us!"

She rolled her eyes and said, "Fool us or not, you're wasting time. Nothing is coming out of this. If you wanted to know where the girl is, then I could have gone after the queen."

The captain groaned angrily and after a couple of moments of silence, he said, "Fine. Let's listen to you, smart girl. If I don't get the girl by the end of this, I'll definitely have your head first, understood?"

The shapeshifter ignored him and proceeded to move Nerine and Alex away, back to their cell.

Ryan replied, "Ok.  In the meantime, what should we do?"

He glanced at Lycoris with worry, as he knew that she had heard the news and would be extremely worried about the couple.

Alex and Nerine followed the shapeshifter as they headed back to their cell.  He felt relieved that the confrontation was over and addressing the shapeshifter, he said,

"Thank you for your help back there, miss.  I appreciate it very much."

Lisianthus sighed and replied, "I don't know. I hate feeling helpless but right now, I can only wait for the soldiers to report what they find."

She paused then said, "The captain or one of his followers would probably try to contact us soon though, right? I mean, if they're trying to lure you and Lycoris out."

The shapeshifter replied with an annoyed voice, "I wasn't helping you. I was tired of that old man's nonsense myself. You obviously don't know where the girl is so screaming about it is simply put, nonsense."

Ryan replied, "Yes, that's true.  If we're contacted, I'll let you know right away.  The last thing any of us needs to do is to act irrationally.  They won't hurt Alex or Nerine since neither of them are their actual targets."

Alex nodded and replied, "Yes, you are certainly correct about that but still, I thank you for what you did back there.  I can already tell that you have a good heart."

He smiled softly at the shapeshifter, giving her his kindest smile.

Lisianthus sighed and replied, "We can't tell for sure. I can't help but worry. That captain is crazy and he caught them for a reason."

She paused then said, "I'll leave you now but I'll contact you again in case anything comes up, ok?"

The shapeshifter looked at Alex for a moment but then quietly said, "No, I don't."

They soon made it back at their cell and after she led the couple inside, she locked the door after them and the soldiers took back their positions. She said,

"Lunch will be brought when it's time. Right now, it's time to contact the human. If you want to be free and alive, pray that he is obedient. Do you need anything?"

Ryan replied, "I'll be waiting for you and please be careful."

He then put away the pendant and approaching Lycoris, he took a seat next to her and gently said,

"I know you heard all that but everything will be ok."

Alex replied, "We're fine but if you have the time, would you mind dropping by just to visit us?  I know you must be incredibly busy but we would both appreciate the company and I'm sure you could use a little variety from the usual routine.  But I don't wish to inconvenience you or anything."

Lycoris was indeed extremely worried and unable to calm down, she frantically asked,

"What will happen to Nerine and Alex? That-that captain. He's too cruel. Why did he have to pull them into this? What if he hurt them? We have to find them. We must absolutely find them."

The tears rolled down her cheeks as all the ugly thoughts began to enter her head.

The shapeshifter raised an eyebrow and although she had to leave right away, her interest was piqued by the strange request. She replied with a sarcastic tone,

"Really now? You're aware that I am the one who kidnapped you, right? I am not your friend and although I promised I won't hurt you so far, I won't hesitate to do so if it's the only way to reach my goals."
