Romance RP

Ryan blushed as well and chuckling, he replied, "I don't mind having the teddy bear on the bed.  He and I can share you, you know."

He winked playfully at Lycoris, and the puppies barked.  Ryan looked at them and added,

"Aww you know that we wouldn't forget you two."

(Getting sleepy here so I'll get off for the night now and go to sleep.  I'll check back tomorrow and post again.  Nite, nite, Love.  ^^)

Lycoris giggled a little and petting the puppies gently, she said, "Of course, that's true."

She said, "Okay, since it's decided, let me put the prizes on the sofa and the bed while you get ready for bed. Then you can help me. How does that sound?"

Ryan replied, "That sounds great, and you can help our boys get settled in for the night as well.  Ok then.  I'll get ready and then come back to help you after."

He gave Lycoris a kiss on each cheek and after taking a pair of pajamas, he went into the bathroom to wash up and get ready for the night.

While Ryan got ready for bed, Lycoris made her way around, putting the toy horse on the sofa and placing the teddy bear on the bed. Then she helped the puppies place themselves at its foot and helped them get comfortable. It took her a little time to do this as she was careful walking around and all but she was finally done, and sat down on the bed, waiting for Ryan to finish up.

(Ahh coolies.  XD)

In the bathroom, Ryan quickly brushed his teeth and then washed his face.  Then he changed out of clothes and into his pajamas.  Afterwards, he combed his hair and glanced at himself in the mirror.  Satisfied with his appearance, Ryan left the bathroom and put away his clothes.  He then approached Lycoris and said,

"I'm all done and I see that you have everything in place.  Are you ready?"

Lycoris nodded and replied, "Yup, I am. Lead the way."

She got up and waited for Ryan to take her to the bathroom so she could get ready for the night.

Ryan held Lycoris' hand and led the way to the bathroom.  There, he helped her to brush her teeth and then wash her face.  After that was done, Ryan returned to the bedroom to fetch a beautiful nightgown for Lycoris and returned to the bathroom.  Handing it to her, he said,

"Here's your nightgown, Lycoris.  Do you need anything else?"

Lycoris smiled softly and shaking her head, she replied,

"Nope. Thank you very much, Ryan. I'll call you when I am done."

She waited until Ryan left the bathroom and once she heard the door click, she proceeded to change out of her clothes and into her nightgown.

As Lycoris got ready for the night, Ryan reached out for his pendant.  Sitting on the sofa, he then called out,

"Hey, beautiful.  Are you there?  I hope I didn't wake you."

Lisianthus was in her room back in the gods' world, waiting for Ryan's call. She was in a thoughtful mood, as she had caught Irene in the chancellor's room earlier during the day and it was weighing on her mind. Nevertheless, she was happy to hear Ryan's voice and replied,

"Hey, cutie. Nope, I can't sleep before I listen to your voice, you know. How are you?"

(O.O  Things will get interesting now.  XD)

Ryan smiled softly and replied, "I'm great and happy.  Lycoris and I had such a wonderful day and it was the happiest I had seen from her."

He briefly talked about their day at the apple festival, describing the events and such.

(Yup. Lisianthus is doubting even Irene now. XD)

Lisianthus listened to Ryan as he described his day with Lycoris and although she wished she could feel happy for him and Lycoris, the troubles on her mind made her feel otherwise. Still, she smiled and said,

"I'm glad to hear that. The happier Lycoris is, the quicker she'll recover and her emotional health is as important as her physical one so it's all good."

(True.  XD)

Ryan nodded and replied, "Yup, that's right.  Also, she was able to get through the whole day without getting tired although once the festival was over, she was tired.  But that's normal for any person.

So how was your day, beautiful?  I want to hear all about it."

Lisianthus hesitated, wondering whether to tell Ryan about her discovery or not. But she decided that she couldn't keep this to herself, and Ryan was probably the only person she could tell about that. So sighing, she said,

"Well, it was normal for the most part . . . nothing out of the usual. Well, it was normal until I went to check on the chancellor. It was part of a weekly routine I'm taking to check on the prisoners of the castle-those in the dungeons and the chancellor, of course. And guess who I found in his room? Duchess Irene herself."

She mentioned Irene's name almost bitterly, for Lisianthus was beginning to think that even Irene could be betraying her.

Ryan looked thoughtful upon hearing Lisianthus' words.  Although this was the first time that he heard of such an occurrence, it didn't surprise him that much that Duchess Irene would visit the chancellor, as they did have a relationship and those ties don't break so easily.

Deciding to look more into this, he asked,

"So what happened after you discovered Duchess Irene in the chancellor's room?  Did she give a reason for her visit?"

Lisianthus replied, "I asked to talk to her alone and questioned her directly. She said that although she would have preferred for it to remain a secret, she visited the chancellor frequently to only check on him and keep him updated with what was going around. So definitely, she has been telling him everything about the captain, his actions and ours, your and Lycoris' going to the humans' worlds and heavens know what else. She doesn't understand that he is a prisoner. Does she really think he's still the chancellor or something?"

She was getting angry as she recalled what happened and it showed in her voice.

Although Ryan could partially understand Lisianthus' anger since Duchess Irene did keep her visits a secret, it didn't seem as though the duchess did anything to endanger anyone.  However, he didn't say so right away, as he thought that would only anger Lisianthus more.  Cautiously, he asked,

"So what happened after?"

Lisianthus took a breath to calm down then said, "I told her that what she did was wrong and for the reasons I just mentioned. And the fact that she kept it a secret made it even more fishy. I think she was angry at hearing that and she said that I made it sound like she was playing behind my back or something. But how do I know, Ryan? Maybe-maybe she really is. That chancellor can't be trusted yet she's treating him like some friend. And she didn't tell me anything. How can I trust her, Ryan?"

Ryan had to think of a way to reply without angering Lisianthus more so finally, he said,

"I do understand why you're angry, beautiful.  Not that I'm defending Duchess Irene or anything but perhaps she knew you'd react like this so that's why she didn't tell you of her visits?"

Lisianthus replied, "And finding out like this wasn't going to anger me? Plus, let's consider that Irene truly means nothing by this-doesn't she understand that the chancellor is an enemy, not a friend? Why does she tell him about everything?"

She paused then with a little hesitation, she said, "Maybe . . . do you think that Irene is seeking revenge on me because I killed her late husband? She-she might want to help the chancellor to break out. She'd let him be free knowing how dangerous he is to me and he might help the captain, too."

Ryan was surprised by Lisianthus' sudden conclusion and he replied,

"Beautiful, I doubt that's the case.  If Duchess Irene had wanted revenge, wouldn't she have acted long ago?  I don't want to think badly of her, especially after she helped me out before with the incident regarding Duke Collins."

Lisianthus understood what Ryan was talking about and she, too, didn't want to think badly of Irene. But she couldn't help it after what she had found out. Sighing, she replied,

"I don't know. All I can tell you right now is that I am going to be wary from even her. It's like I am doubting everyone around me."

She sighed again, feeling depressed. Then quickly smiling, she said, "But don't let it bother you. You just focus on having Lycoris recover quickly so you two can return as soon as possible. I need your presence by my side, cutie. I really do."

Ryan could hear the depression in Lisianthus' voice and knowing that she needed him, he replied,

"I'll do my best.  At this rate, I think Lycoris will recover pretty well and we can return in about a month.  I'll help you figure everything out then."

Lisianthus smiled a little more and felt comforted, then said, "Thanks, cutie. You're the best.

I guess I'll leave you for the night then. Talk to me again tomorrow night, ok? I love you so much."

Ryan smiled a bit and replied, "I will, and I love you, too.  Good night then, my beautiful."

He then set the pendant aside and sighed to himself.  He wanted to contact Duchess Irene right away but as it was quite late, he thought it would be better to do so tomorrow although he would have to let Lycoris know.
