Romance RP

Lycoris soon finished changing into her nightgown and opening the bathroom's door slightly, she called out,

"Ryan, I'm all done."

Ryan perked up upon hearing Lycoris' voice and getting up, he approached her.  He smiled softly at Lycoris and said,

"Wow, you look very beautiful but then you're always beautiful, my angel."

Just being in Lycoris' presence cheered Ryan up although he couldn't forget what Lisianthus had told him earlier.

(Sorry for the delay. Had to have lunch quickly and all. XD)

Lycoris blushed shyly but smiled as Ryan approached her and replied, "Thanks for the compliment, Ryan. Hearing it from you makes me feel a lot happier."

She paused then looking a little worried, she said, "Umm forgive me for eavesdropping but I heard Lisianthus' voice through the door and she sounded really angry. Umm is everything ok?"

(No problem.  XD)

Ryan sighed and replied, "Well, I was going to tell you tomorrow but since you found out...If you're up for staying up a bit, I can tell you what's going on.  But it's not something that you should worry about, really.  I can't keep it to myself, though, but I don't want to burden you with this."

Lycoris looked worried and reaching out to hold Ryan's hand in comfort, she replied,

"If something is troubling you, I want to hear it. You aren't burdening me. Listening to you is the least I can do after all. Please tell me what's bothering you. I won't be at rest if my brother isn't so I want to listen to you at least."

Ryan felt a little saddened as Lycoris called him her brother but he pushed that aside for now.  Nodding, he replied,

"Ok, let's rest on the bed and then I'll tell you what happened."

He led the way over to the bed and put away Lycoris' clothes.  After climbing into bed beside her, Ryan then told Lycoris of his conversation with Lisianthus, especially the part about Duchess Irene having been in the chancellor's room and Lisianthus' reaction upon her discovery.

After he was done, he took a breath and replied,

"I'll communicate with Duchess Irene tomorrow about what happened but I think Sia is overreacting.  I wanted to tell her but then I didn't want to anger Sia any more than she already was.  I just fear that she may do something rash.  Perhaps it's me but it almost seems as though she's being paranoid about the whole matter.  I mean, I can understand Duchess Irene wanting to visit the chancellor and we both know that he's a good man.  Perhaps his past actions were misguided but he never had any malice behind them.  But if I try to persuade Sia, she might think I was turning on her or something.  What do you think of all this?"

(Getting sleepy here so I'll get off for the night now and go to sleep.  I'll check back tomorrow and make a post before going to work and all.  Nite, nite, Love.  ^^)

Lycoris listened carefully to Ryan as he told her of everything and of how he thought, then after a few moments of thought, she replied,

"I agree with you, Ryan. Duchess Irene definitely had no bad intentions about going to the chancellor and she would never do anything that could endanger anyone . . . also, I trust the chancellor and I know he's a good man so there's no need to be so wary.

But Sia doesn't like the chancellor, right? So that's probably why she's so angry about this. I-I can understand that but she has no right to doubt Duchess Irene . . . she's such a good woman and she helped us a lot."

She sighed and said, "Maybe it's just that Sia is angry at the moment. Perhaps when she calms down, she can see things in a different light. I am sure of it."

She smiled softly, wanting to cheer Ryan up.

Ryan smiled softly upon seeing how much Lycoris was doing her best to cheer Ryan up.  Nodding, he replied,

"Perhaps you're right.  Hopefully, Sia will be much calmer tomorrow and I'll look into things more myself.  But for tonight, we should get some sleep.  Both of us had a fun day, and you know, it was one of the best days of my life."

(I'll be going to work in a bit but I'll be back this evening so I'll post more then.  ^^)

Lycoris smiled a little more and replied, "It was the best day of my life, too. I had so much fun today and it was all thanks to you."

She reached out to give Ryan a kiss on the cheek then said, "But you're right. Let's get some sleep for the night."

She laid down on the bed and once Ryan did the same and wrapped his arms around her, she softly said, "Get a lot of rest, ok, Ryan? I am sure things will turn out for the best."

Ryan nodded and replied, "Yes, I'm sure you're right.  Good night then, my angel."

He gave Lycoris a kiss on each of her cheeks and then closing his eyes, he soon fell asleep.

The next morning, Lycoris woke up a little after the sun rose. She was all ready for the new day although she felt a little tired still, for the day before was quite fun but tiring and although she didn't feel tired in the middle of the day, it might have been her excitement that kept her going. Still, she thought it didn't matter much, as they could stay inside and she would rest and take it easy.

Feeling the quiet around her, she guessed that Ryan was still sleeping and smiled softly to herself, reaching out gently to caress his cheek. She remembered what happened last night and hoped things could get resolved quickly, for she didn't like to know that Ryan was troubled by anything.

Ryan continued to sleep and as he did so, he could feel the soft caress on his cheek.  He had this warm smile on his face and felt at peace although his mind still remembered the troubles that Lisianthus had told him last night.  Instinctively, he held on to Lycoris, as though her presence was enough to comfort her and he never wanted to let her go.

Lycoris felt Ryan hold on to her and she blushed but smiled to herself, continuing to caress his cheek ever so gently. She quietly whispered,

"I'll remain by your side as long as I can, Ryan, just like you do for me...You're everyone to me and the least I can do is to support you to the end. Because I...I love you, Ryan."

She said it ever so quietly but lovingly, figuring that declaring it while he slept and couldn't hear her wouldn't be wrong. As long as he never heard her or knew of it-then it was ok.

As Ryan slept, he could hear Lycoris' words and instinctively, he replied,

"And I love you, my angel."

His face turned saddened and he added, "I wish Sia was more like you."

Lycoris looked alarmed as she heard Ryan's response and couldn't tell whether Ryan was still asleep or if she had woken him up. Although she could usually tell by the tone of his voice, she couldn't tell then for sure, overcome by her fear. So as quietly as she could, she said,

"Ryan, are you awake?"

Ryan continued to sleep, not replying to Lycoris' question.  A little later, he finally woke up and upon seeing Lycoris awake, he smiled softly at her and said,

"Good morning, my angel.  Did you sleep well?"

He was unaware of the words he had muttered while he was still asleep.

Lycoris looked immensely relieved as Ryan turned out to be only muttering in his sleep, and figured that he was only having one of those strange dreams he had before. Smiling a little, she replied,

"Good morning, Ryan. I did. What about you? Did you have a restful sleep?"

Ryan nodded and replied, "Yup, I sure did.  I had a happy dream although I don't remember what it was."

He looked thoughtful and then asked, "Have you been awake for long?"

Lycoris wondered why Ryan asked that question and replied, "Umm for a while, not very long. Why do you ask? Is anything the matter?"

Ryan shook his head and replied, "No, everything is fine.  I would have felt bad if I had kept my angel waiting long for me, that's all."

He reached out to gently caress Lycoris' cheeks, smiling softly at her.

Lycoris blushed as Ryan caressed her cheeks and although part of her wanted to ask about his dream, she decided against it, figuring it wasn't of much importance.

They are just some strange dreams. Ryan doesn't have any feelings for me. I'm only his sister, after all.

Satisfied with that thought, she smiled and said, "I'd wait forever for my brother, Ryan. So how about we get up and get this day started?"

Ryan smiled sadly as Lycoris called him her brother but not wanting Lycoris to know about it, he nodded and replied,

"Sure, that sounds good.  I'll go get ready first and then I'll help you get ready for the day."

He gave Lycoris a kiss on each of her cheek and after getting out of bed, he took a change of clothes and went into the bathroom to shower and get dressed.

Meanwhile, Lycoris sat up in bed, waiting patiently for Ryan. She wasn't as energetic as the day before but at least she was feeling ok. Although her mind would wander to what happened just now, she would shake the thoughts out of her head quickly, thinking it was no use pondering over them.

Quickly, Ryan finished his shower and after drying off, he put on his clothes for the day.  He wore a pair of dark blue jeans and a white shirt.  Then he combed his hair and after briefly checking himself in the mirror, he prepared Lycoris' bath, filling the bathtub with warm water and bubble bath solution.  

After he set aside towels and a bathrobe, Ryan left the bathroom and put away his pajamas.  He then approached Lycoris and said,

"Your bath's all ready, Lycoris.  Are you ready?"

Lycoris nodded and replied, "Yup, I'm all ready."

She reached to stand on her feet and then held on carefully to Ryan, waiting for his lead.
