Romance RP

Ryan smiled softly upon seeing Lycoris' curiosity and he replied,

"Ahh seashells are pretty items that wash up on the beach.  When we go to the beach around here tomorrow, I'll find some for you."

Alex was genuinely confused by the shapeshifter's reply and said,

What are you talking about?  Lycoris is back at the castle in the gods' world.  She didn't follow us here.

Lycoris nodded happily and replied, "Ok then. So this our list-to-do: build a sandcastle, collect seashells and walk on the beach. Can we play in the water? Not swim but I'd like to feel the waves on my feet and run on the shore. Can we?"

The shapeshifter replied angrily,

It sounds like you're the clueless one here. I know what happens in the castle as though I'm one of you. The girl and the other human aren't there anymore. They're in this world. But perhaps I shouldn't be surprised that you don't know. They tried their best to keep things secret after all.

Ryan nodded happily and replied, "Sure, we can definitely do that.  It'll be nice to walk in the water and feel the cool water on our feet.  It looks like we'll have plenty to do tomorrow."

Alex replied,

So you want to take both my darling and me hostage to lure Lycoris and Ryan out?  I doubt your plan will work.  If they are truly in hiding, I get the feeling that Ryan will do everything to protect Lycoris.  He certainly won't fall for such a trick.

Lycoris had a happy smile over her face and replied, "I can't wait. Everyday is so much fun with you, Ryan. There's always something new to do and a lot of new things to see and learn about."

The shapeshifter smirked to herself and replied,

I can't know that until I try, you know, although I doubt. But enough chit-chatting. Are you coming out willingly or will I have to come get you myself? Just so you know-I'm not alone and I can't guarantee that my companions are as kind as I am.

Indeed, the soldiers she had called for had made it, and quickly moved around to cover the area.

Ryan gently touched Lycoris' cheek and happily replied, "I promise that as long as we're together, I'll make sure that you get to experience as much of the world as possible.  And never hesitate to ask me anything, ok?"

Alex frowned and turning to Nerine, he quietly said, "This is about Lycoris and Ryan."

He quickly told Nerine about the conversation he had with the shapeshifter.

Lycoris smiled softly and nodding, she replied, "I trust you, Ryan. Thank you."

She then said, "So, should we have our last dance? Then we can turn in for the night."

Nerine's heart was filled with anger and hate for Lycoris as she knew that once more, they were in trouble and danger because of her. But now wasn't the time. Her anger was overcome by her fear and looking worriedly at Alex, she said,

"What-what are we going to do? Are we going with them? What-what if they try to hurt you? I don't care about myself but I can't let them hurt you again."

Ryan nodded happily and replied, "Sure, I would love one more dance with my angel for tonight."

He got to this feet and after helping Lycoris get up, he led the way back to where they danced before.  Then holding Lycoris in his arms, he summoned one more beautiful, romantic song and took the lead in dancing.

Alex quickly looked outside and saw that there was no way they could leave safely.  He turned back to Nerine and said,

"I was thinking that I would surrender myself to them but have you be spared.  I can't bear for you to be hurt, darling.  I don't care what happens to me."

Lycoris followed Ryan's lead on the dance and as he held her in his arms, she wrapped his arms around his neck gently, blushing as she did so but feeling happy inside, for being with him like that was more than enough to bring a smile to her face.

Nerine immediately shook her head, and replied, "Of course not. What are you talking about? I can't bear it if anything happened to you, Alex. If you're going, then I am going with you. But you can't leave me alone. Don't leave me, Alex. I'll follow you anywhere."

She held on to his hand tightly, afraid to lose him.

Ryan blushed as well as Lycoris wrapped his arms gently around his neck.  He gazed happily at Lycoris the entire time, feeling much love and warmth for the woman before him.  It was the perfect night, as it was just the two of them and their boys.

Alex felt the pressure of Nerine's hand and he replied,

"Darling, I don't know what they'll do to us if we both go with them.  I wish there was a way we could escape to the castle here.  Then we'd have the protection of the king and queen."

The stable owner approached the couple and quietly said,

"It's getting quite messy outside.  You may be able to escape, though.  I have a pegasus equipped and he flies fast.  You can take him to the castle and you two would be safe there."

Alex turned to Nerine and asked, "What do you think?  Should we risk it?"

Lycoris continued dancing happily with Ryan, enjoying the perfect atmosphere around her and the lovely night she was spending with the company around her. She couldn't help but softly said,

"You really are the talented dancer, Ryan. Every dance with you feels like it's the first time."

Nerine looked confused and pointing at the window, she replied, "But there's a shield of fire all around the stables. We won't be able to make it out there without getting burned."

She looked distressed, as there indeed seemed no way out. Meanwhile, the shapeshifter was running out of patience and telepathically talked to Alex once more,

Well? My patience is running low, human. I am being nice so far so try to take advantage of that.

Ryan blushed deeply upon hearing Lycoris' compliment and replied,

"Aww you're flattering me, my angel, but I do enjoy it.  Would you mind flattering me some more?"

Alex took a deep breath and turning to Nerine, he said, "I think we don't have a choice.  I don't want anyone else to get hurt.  Although I wish there was a way for you to be safe, darling, it looks like we'll have to surrender.  But I promise to protect you and make sure that they don't separate us at any time."

The stable owner looked at the couple and asked, "Are you sure?"

Indeed, Alex wasn't but what other choice did he have?

Lycoris blushed shyly then giggling, she replied, "I wouldn't mind at all. After all, you deserve all the praise, for you are my handsome, strong guardian angel and prince. You're a great, powerful sorcerer and a wonderful dancer. And you cook such delicious food. But more importantly, you're my best friend and my only companion, who I am very lucky to have by my side."

She smiled to Ryan almost lovingly, meaning every single word.

The tears welled up in Nerine's eyes but doing her best to stay strong, she held on to Alex tightly and said, "As long as you're with me. I-I don't care what they do to me but I won't bear being away from you for a second or having you get hurt."

Ryan blushed even more and he replied, "Those truly are the most beautiful, wonderful words ever uttered by my angel.  I hope I will always be worthy of such words, for my angel is my light and hope in my heart."

Alex hugged Nerine and replied, "I won't let anyone or anything separate us, darling."

He turned to the stable owner and said, "We'll surrender ourselves so no one else gets hurt but as soon as everyone leaves, would you please send word to the king and queen what has happened here?  They may be able to take action."

The stable owner nodded and replied, "Of course.  I'll do so right away."

Alex nodded and then he communicated to the shapeshifter,

My darling and I will surrender ourselves as long as we have your word that no harm comes to either of us.  Then we'll come out willingly.

Lycoris smiled happily and replied, "Of course you are and you always will be. There's no one in the whole world who is as wonderful as you are, Ryan."

The couple continued dancing for a little more before the music eventually ended.

The shapeshifter smirked in victory and replied,

You have my word. As long as you try nothing funny, neither you nor your wife will be hurt.

She ordered a couple of soldiers to wait by the door but kept the others in their positions around, then walked herself to the door of the stables, keeping her guard up till the very end.

After the music ended, Ryan stopped dancing.  He looked happily at Lycoris and said,

"I've truly enjoyed dancing with you tonight, my angel.  This has been such a wonderful night."

Alex felt a little relief as the shapeshifter gave her word that the couple wouldn't be harmed.  He turned to Nerine and said,

"I've been assured that neither of us will be harmed as long as we surrender willingly.  I know you're scared but I promise that I'll do my best to protect you always."

Lycoris smiled as well and replied, "It has been indeed. Thank you very much for dancing with me tonight, Ryan.

It's getting late, right? We should say good night to Robert and get some sleep then."

Nerine still felt a little fear inside of her but as Alex would stay by her side, she felt a little calmer. So nodding, she held on to his arm tightly and said, "Ok. As long as you're by my side, I'll do my best to stay strong."

Ryan nodded and replied, "Yup, we should."

The couple approached Robert and gently petting the horse's head, Ryan said,

"Good night, Robert.  Get plenty of sleep, as we'll need you for a day full of fun tomorrow."

Robert whinnied happily, looking forward to it.

Alex nodded and he turned to the stable owner.  The owner said, "Don't worry.  I'll get your message out right away."

Alex replied, "Thank you, sir."

Holding on to Nerine's arm, Alex led the way to the door and slowly opened it.

Lycoris petted Robert gently and said, "Good night, boy and yup, you should definitely get a lot of sleep. See you tomorrow."

She then followed Ryan upstairs to their room where they would turn in for the night.

The shapeshifter saw the door opening and the couple was indeed there, along with another man she couldn't identify but didn't care about. She was still hooded but in a victorious tone, she said,

"Good job. Now let's get you to where you should be."

She signaled to the two soldiers nearby and they moved to both sides of the couple, holding their swords high in order to make sure they were obedient.

Ryan escorted Lycoris back inside the house and upstairs to their room.  As he gently placed her on the sofa, he said,

"I'll go get ready first, my angel.  You rest and play with our boys and I'll return after I'm done."

He gave Lycoris a kiss on each cheek and after taking a pair of pajamas, he went into the bathroom to wash up and change.

Keeping his hold on Nerine, Alex followed the shapeshifter outside and he asked,

"So now that you have us, where are you taking us?"

Lycoris waited patiently for Ryan as he got ready for the night, playing with the puppies meanwhile. She was looking forward to their day tomorrow and felt at peace, for Ryan surely knew how to bring happiness to her heart and smiles to her face.

The shapeshifter shook her finger at Alex and replied, "Tsk, tsk. Be quiet now. I have been nice so far but that doesn't mean you're safe from my wrath. You aren't supposed to ask that question."

The other soldiers were soon following, surrounding the group for protection. Everyone was moving swiftly, walking deep into the forests, not wasting a moment of time.

Ryan quickly washed up and then changed into a pair of black pajamas.  He combed his hair and checked himself in the mirror to make sure that he looked presentable.  After he was done, he left the bathroom and put away his clothes.  Then he approached Lycoris and said,

"I'm all done.  I'll help you wash up and then I'll get your nightgown so you can change."

Alex glared at the shapeshifter but he didn't say another word, as he didn't want to put Nerine in any more danger than they already were.  He followed, wondering where they were headed.

(I should get off for the night now and get some sleep.  Hopefully, I'll be completely better tomorrow and all.  Nite, nite, Love.  ^^)

Lycoris smiled and nodding, she replied, "Alright. Thanks a lot, Ryan."

She got up and then followed Ryan to the bathroom so he could help her wash up and get ready for the night.

The shapeshifter ignored Alex's looks and the group continued marching forward. After a while of walking into the forests, they finally made it at a cave and entered. After walking for a little bit, the group stopped, and the shapeshifter walked to the wall and touched a rock, activating a huge, glowing circle-the gate to the devils' world.

Smiling to herself, she said, "You should like where we're heading. The devils' world-weren't you hiding there in the beginning?"

Nerine was surprised at hearing their destination and more so that the shapeshifter knew that they were hiding there once, but was too scared to say anything.

In the bathroom, Ryan helped Lycoris to brush her teeth and then to wash her face.  After both tasks were completed, Ryan went to fetch a clean, beautiful nightgown for Lycoris.  Handing her a light blue one, he said,

"Here's your nightgown, Lycoris.  Do you want anything else before I leave you to get changed?"

Alex was surprised as well to hear that the shapeshifter knew that the couple had once stayed in the devils' world.  Ignoring her question, though, he asked,

"Why are you taking us there?  Do you think Lycoris and Ryan are there?"

Lycoris took the nightgown from Ryan and shaking her head, she replied,

"Thanks, Ryan. I'll get changed and then call for you once I am done."

The shapeshifter raised an eyebrow and replied, "I don't care where the human and the girl are. After all, they are the ones who will come to us even if they're at the end of the world. If they cared about your lives, that is."

Her last sentence almost had a threatening tone, then without saying anymore, she entered the gate, and the soldiers followed, pushing Nerine and Alex through it as well.

Ryan nodded and replied, "Ok and take your time."

He gave Lycoris a kiss on her cheek and leaving the bathroom, he closed the door and then sat on the sofa.  He took out his pendant and called out,

"Beautiful, are you there?"

Alex glared at the soldiers who pushed him and Nerine but he obediently followed the group through the gate.  He glanced at Nerine and quietly said,

"It's going to be ok, darling.  I won't let anyone hurt you."
