Romance RP

Ryan gently held Lycoris' arm and led the way to the bathroom.  There, he guided her hands to where the towels and bathrobe were.  Then he guided her hands to the bathwater and asked,

"Is the water warm enough?"

(I want to ask a random question about VNs.  Do you think that a developer who wants to develop a commercial one and have it be an English-translated one (in other words, from the original language like Japanese to English) should hire an English proofreader in addition to a translator?  XD)

(Ahh yup, I think so. XD Unless the translator is a native speaker, of course. In that case, I don't find the need for it but not all translators tend to be native speakers, I think. XD)

Lycoris felt the water with her hands and finding the temperature fine, she smiled and nodding, she said,

"Yup, it's fine. Thanks, Ryan. I'll finish and let you know."

(Ahh ok.  That's what I think, too.  There was a reason I asked this question btw.  I recently discovered this VN developer who's been around for a while and does English translations but some people have complained that there are grammar and spelling errors which makes me think that they don't hire a proofreader.  Anyway, thanks for your opinion.  XD)

Ryan nodded and replied, "Sure, no problem, and take your time, ok?  I'll go tidy the bed and such in the meantime."

He gave Lycoris a kiss on the cheek and then left the bathroom, making sure that the door was securely closed.  Then he tidied the bed and chose Lycoris' clothes for the day.

(I see. And no problem. XD)

Lycoris took her bath and once she was done, she reached out for the towels and dried herself. Then she put on her bathrobe carefully and once she was ready, she reached out for the door and opened it slightly, calling out,

"I'm done, Ryan."

Ryan smiled softly as he heard Lycoris call out to him and immediately, he approached her.  Then he took the hairbrush and as he brushed Lycoris' hair, he commented,

"I do love brushing your hair every morning, Lycoris.  It's very soft and smooth, just like an angel's."

Lycoris blushed deeply at hearing Ryan's compliment and smiling, she replied shyly,

"And I sure love getting my hair brushed by you. Such a gentle gesture makes me feel safe and warm. Umm and you're the first man to ever brush my hair too."

Ryan blushed as well and replied, "I hope to be the only man who'll ever brush your hair.  I think I would get mad with jealousy if any other man were to get near you."

He chuckled lightly at his comment and soon finished brushing Lycoris' hair.  After he set aside the hairbrush, Ryan picked up a beautiful green dress and approaching Lycoris, he said,

"Here's your dress for the day.  Do you need anything else?"

Lycoris took the dress from Ryan and still blushing a bit, she shook her head with a soft smile and said,

"No, thanks a lot, Ryan. I'll change quickly then tell you."

Ryan nodded and replied, "No problem.  I'll pick out your hair accessories while you're getting dressed."

He left the bathroom and made sure to close the door securely behind him.  Then he approached the dresser and picked a beautiful green hair ribbon.

Lycoris changed out of her bathrobe and into her green dress, making sure to tidy herself as much as she could so she would look neat. Once was she done, she reached out for the door and opened it slightly, calling out,

"Ryan? I'm all done."

Ryan heard Lycoris' voice and picking up the green ribbon, he approached her.  Then he brushed her hair and decorated her hair with the green ribbon so that it was in a beautiful ponytail.

After he was done, he hugged her from behind and asked, "What do you think?"

Lycoris reached out to activate her bracelet and looking at her and Ryan's reflections, she smiled softly and said,

"I look great, all thanks to you. I really don't know what I'd have done without you, Ryan."

She smiled a little more sweetly and said, "And you look as handsome as always too."

Ryan blushed deeply and replied,

"Aww my angel flatters me but I always love receiving her attentions."

He gazed at their reflection for a bit and then said, "We should pick up our boys and then bid good morning to Robert.  I'll probably need to fill his water bucket for breakfast."

Lycoris nodded in agreement and replied, "Yup, let's go then. I can't wait to get this day started."

She followed Ryan out of the bathroom then picked up the puppies on their way, and followed Ryan downstairs and to outside to greet Robert.

Once the couple was outside, Ryan approached Robert and said,

"Good morning, Robert.  Did you sleep well last night?"

The horse whinnied happily, nodding its head and swishing its tail as well.

Lycoris reached out to pet Robert gently and said, "Good morning, boy. I am so glad you could sleep alright. Ryan and I are going to refill your water bucket so you can have breakfast."

She addressed Ryan and said, "Come on, Ryan. Let's get the water for Robert."

Ryan nodded and replied, "Ok.  We'll be right back, Robert."

He picked up the empty bucket and then walked with Lycoris back inside the house and to the kitchen.  There, Ryan quickly refilled the bucket with fresh water and then led the way back outside.  Setting the bucket on the ground, Ryan said,

"Here's fresh water for you, boy."

Robert whinnied happily in appreciation.

Lycoris smiled at Robert and said, "We'll leave you now so you can enjoy your breakfast, Robert and we'll check on you later."

She petted him gently one last time and waited for Ryan to lead them back so they could have their own breakfast.

Ryan bid goodbye to Robert as well and gently holding Lycoris' arm, he led the way back inside and to the kitchen.  There, he placed Lycoris into a seat and as he was preparing breakfast, he asked,

"What would you like for a drink this morning?  Orange juice or perhaps milk?  There's chocolate milk as well."

Without a second thought, Lycoris happily replied, "Chocolate milk. Umm I don't think I've had that before actually but since it has chocolate, it must be really delicious, right?"

Ryan chuckled happily and replied, "That's right and I should know by now not to be surprised by your answer since you do love chocolate.  Waffles and chocolate milk it is then."

He took out all the ingredients he needed and then proceeded to make the batter.  Afterwards, he took out the waffle iron and cooked the waffles like so.

Lycoris had a soft smile over her face as she waited for Ryan as he prepared breakfast. She really thought highly of him and that thought only increased day by day as Ryan treated her kindly and with a lot of care, going through a lot of trouble for her sake. How could she not fall in love with such a man?

Ryan finished cooking the waffles, putting them on plates and then placing slices of strawberries, syrup, and whipped cream on top of them.  He placed the plates on a big tray along with utensils and glasses of chocolate milk.  Then he prepared bowls of puppy food and water and placed them on the tray, too.

After everything was done, Ryan carried the tray in his hands and approaching Lycoris, he said,

"I'm all done.  Let's go upstairs and enjoy our breakfast."

Lycoris nodded and replied, "Lead the way."

She stood up and holding the puppies with one arm, she held on to Ryan with the other and followed him upstairs to their room.

Ryan slowly led the way out of the kitchen and upstairs back to their room.  Once inside, he escorted Lycoris to the bed and placed the big tray before her.  Then he took the bowls of puppy food and water and set them on the floor.  Finally, he took a seat on the bed next to Lycoris and said,

"Let's eat.  The waffles smell delicious, I think."
