Romance RP

Ryan and Lycoris entered the healers' room and Ryan led the way to where Lisianthus was.  Looking at worry, Ryan quietly asked,

"How is he?  Any news?  I told Lycoris what happened and she wanted to come here to visit you both."

Lisianthus saw Ryan and Lycoris enter and she was a little surprised to see Lycoris until Ryan explained. Sighing, she shook her head and replied,

"The healers haven't told me anything yet. They're working as hard as they could, though."

Lycoris was saddened to hear how bad Duke Collins' condition was and looking apologetic, she quietly said,

"I'm so sorry, Sia. I really am sorry. This-this is all because of me. The captain would have never hurt anyone if I weren't here. I am really sorry, Sia."

Lisianthus shook her head and gently replied, "Hey, don't blame yourself, Lycoris. It's no one's fault but that captain's and he'll get it from me when the time is right. And I won't let him anywhere near you."

Lycoris didn't reply but Lisianthus' words didn't make her feel much better as she still felt responsible.

Ryan turned to Lycoris and added, "Sia's right, you know.  It's that captain's fault for causing all this trouble.  You're not to blame for any of this."

He turned to Lisianthus and said, "I told the others as well what happened and I also suggested that they not be alone, even within the castle grounds."

Ryan turned back to Lycoris and said, "Lycoris, we could add extra guards for you but I have a better idea."

Lisianthus nodded to Ryan as he told her about telling the others. Lycoris wondered what Ryan's idea was and quietly asked,

"What is your idea, Ryan?"

Ryan replied, "If it's ok with Sia, I would like to be your personal guard 24/7.  I'll watch over you but respect your privacy when you need it.  I think you may feel better about this idea than having more guards.  What do you think?"

He turned to Lisianthus and added, "I almost forgot to mention this but after I talked to the others, Bryan suggested that there might be a traitor or spy within the castle.  That may be how that captain found out about you and Duke Collins going to the human world today.  Do you think that's possible?"

(Hmm I personally love the idea of Ryan watching over Lycoris 24/7 and being her personal guard. XD)

Lisianthus was surprised to hear Ryan's suggestion to Lycoris and even more surprised as she heard the possibility of having a spy in the castle. After a moment of silence, she replied,

"That makes sense. I thought I jailed all the captain's soldiers but there may be others who hadn't shown themselves yet. I'll do my best to find out."

She paused then said, "Umm are you sure about your idea of protecting Lycoris, though, Ryan? This-this could be dangerous. The captain could attack anytime."

She wanted to add that she wouldn't be able to spend time with Ryan like this but she didn't think it was the suitable time to mention that at all.

(lol  It would give them the chance to get closer.  XD)

Ryan nodded and replied, "In light of what's happened, I think this is the best option.  I'm a pretty powerful sorcerer and I can protect Lycoris better when I'm near her.  And if there are one or more spies still, we may not be able to tell who they are.  Of course, we know we're not the spies but among the soldiers and other staff, it wouldn't be as obvious.  Of course, the final decision should be Lycoris'."

He then turned to Lycoris and asked, "What do you wish, Lycoris?  Do you want more guards or have me be your personal guard?"

(Aha. XD)

Although Lycoris definitely preferred having Ryan guard her, for that felt better than having a lot of guards around her, she wasn't so sure. She replied,

"I'd prefer that, Ryan, although I am worried for the same reasons Sia stated. That would be putting you in clear danger and I-I don't want that. I know you're pretty powerful but . . . Are you sure about this?"

Ryan reached out to gently squeeze Lycoris' right hand and nodding, he replied,

"I'm definitely sure.  I know that I'd be put in the line of danger but I can hold my own pretty well.  I did so the other night when Rosaline and I were attacked.  I will do everything I can to protect you, Lycoris.  I promise you that no harm will come to you and you won't have anything or anyone to fear."

Lycoris couldn't help blushing slightly and feeling a little better about the idea as Ryan assured her that he can hold his own, she nodded and replied,

"Alright, if that's fine with you and fine with Sia, too, I'd prefer that option."

Lisianthus wasn't fine with the idea as that meant she would get very little time to spend with Ryan if at all, but she couldn't voice her opinion now that Lycoris agreed on it. So nodding, she replied,

"I'm fine with it as well. That would be actually better for you, Lycoris, than having more guards. You'll be in safe hands."

(Yup, I had a feeling that Lisianthus wouldn't like this idea.  XD)

Ryan smiled softly at Lisianthus and replied, "Thanks, beautiful."

Using his telepathy, he added,

I know this is going to be an inconvenience but I promise it's only temporary, beautiful.  We'll spend more time together in the near future, ok?

(lol It's only natural. XD)

Lisianthus sighed inwardly and replied to Ryan,

It's ok, cutie. I know you're worried for Lycoris' sake. She'll be a lot safer this way but do look out for yourself, too, alright?

One of the healers finally approached the party and there was a look of relief over his face. Smiling a little, he bowed and said,

"Duke Collins will be alright, Your Majesty. Thankfully, the wound wasn't quite deep and no critical points were damaged. But he'll stay here for a couple of days at least so we can make sure he's completely fine."

Lisianthus looked relieved and Lycoris looked happy to hear the news as well.

Ryan was relieved as well and he replied, "That's great news.  The others will be pleased to know as well that Duke Collins is all right."

He turned to Lisianthus and said, "Assuming that the duke is resting now, we should probably leave so he can get some sleep.  We can visit him in the morning to see how he's improving.  I'm sure the healers will watch over him."

Lisianthus nodded and replied,

"Yeah, I am sure of it. I should get some rest, too. I could really use it but perhaps it would be better if I see the others first? I should tell them the news about Duke Collins."

Ryan nodded and replied, "Of course.  They should know of this news right away."

He turned to Lycoris and asked, "Should we go with Sia or would you like me to take you back to your room?  I'll start guarding you as of right now."

(Getting sleepy here so I'll get off for the night now and get some sleep.  I'll post again tomorrow after I return from work.  Nite, nite, Love.  ^^)

Lycoris thought about it and although she would have preferred that they go back to her room, there was something she needed to talk to Rosaline about first. So nodding, she replied,

"Umm we can go with Sia first, if that's ok."

(Back now.  XD)

Although Ryan was a little surprised by Lycoris' reply, he nodded and replied, "Of course.  Then I'll escort two of my favorite ladies."

He held both Lisianthus' and Lycoris' arms and gently escorted them towards the dining room.

Lycoris and Lisianthus followed Ryan to the dining room where the others were. Avi saw the party enter and he was relieved to see Lisianthus all right and happy to see Lycoris, too, for he hadn't seen her in a while. He said,

"Hey. I'm so happy to see you're fine, Sia. Thank goodness you were safely out of there."

Lisianthus smiled and replied, "Thanks, Avi. And I suppose you'll all be relieved to know that Duke Collins will be fine, too. The healers just told us that they could heal him successfully, thank goodness."

Bryan smiled and replied, "That's great news.  We were all so worried when Ryan told us what happened earlier.  I'm glad to see that you're all right, Sia."

Alex smiled at Lycoris, for he had missed her, too, although he didn't dare say anything with Nerine present.

Lisianthus smiled back to Bryan and replied,
 
"Thanks, Bryan. I'm sorry you had to hear such bad news. I know it will be an inconvenience for you all not to go out of the castle for a while but I really have no choice. That captain is dangerous and I can't let any of you get hurt."

Lycoris couldn't see Alex's smile, of course, but she remained quiet and reserved as she knew of his and Nerine's presence. She waited for the right moment to approach Rosaline on something.

Bryan nodded and replied, "We understand.  It is an inconvenience but that captain is truly dangerous and I wouldn't forgive myself if my love got hurt in any way."

Alex added, "I feel the same way about my darling."

He looked to Nerine and said, "I'll protect you from that horrible captain."

Rosaline looked to Bryan and replied, "Don't worry, my love. That captain won't even dare to come near us or else I'll teach him a lesson."

Nerine smiled to Alex and replied, "I'll feel safe as long as you're here, my Alex."

Lycoris then quietly spoke up, "Umm Rosaline, can I have a moment with you?"

Rosaline looked surprised but nodding, she replied, "Sure."

Ryan was surprised as Lycoris wished to talk to Rosaline and turning to Lycoris, he asked,

"Would you like me to accompany you, Lycoris, or do you wish to talk privately with Rosaline?"

Lycoris replied,

"Umm you can accompany us if you like, Ryan. It's not anything secret."

Ryan nodded and replied, "All right.  So where do you two want to talk?  We can choose a corner of the room or go into a nearby room if you want more privacy?"

He looked to Rosaline and Lycoris for their replies.
