Romance RP

Ryan replied, "It really will be mostly due to you.  You'll be putting in all the effort to defeat the captain."

As the subject of the captain came up, Ryan then said, "I wonder what he's up to.  It's been quiet since we last heard of any news about him."

Lycoris' expression changed to a worried one and replied,

"Well, you and Rosaline were attacked recently, right? I can only guess that it's him behind that attack."

Ryan nodded and replied, "Yeah, I guessed that he might have behind the attack although it's only a suspicion.  I don't have any proof.  The leader of the group who attacked us was a woman, though.  I didn't expect that."

Lycoris looked thoughtful and replied,

"Maybe she's one of those who work for him? She could be an assassin, or something and he hired her."

Looking horrified at the thought, she continued,

"Oh god. If that's true, that would be quite awful and dangerous . . . "

Ryan pondered over Lycoris' reply and shaking his head, he replied,

"It's possible although I doubt that.  She didn't use any attacks that would have been deadly on either Rosaline or me.  I'd guess that she was aiming more for capturing us.  I wish I knew her exact reasons.  

At any rate, we'll have to be on guard more when we're outside the castle walls."

Lycoris sighed and nodding, she replied,

"That's true. I-I am really sorry for all this trouble. I know it's all because of me. I am sorry you and Rosaline had to go through such a thing because of me."

Ryan saw the worry all over Lycoris' face and hugging her, he replied,

"Hey, none of this is your fault.  It's that captain's.  He should leave you alone, you know.  You've never harmed him or anyone and there he goes, being all power hungry.  I promise that I'll do all I can to help you defeat him and you won't be alone."

Lycoris looked saddened and replied,

"But I just don't want anyone to be hurt for my sake. That man is going after me and he's ready to hurt anyone who stands in his way. I wouldn't forgive myself if someone was hurt because of me."

Ryan gently stroked Lycoris' hair and gently replied,

"Hey, we'll be careful, ok?  You know how strong I am and if that captain wants a fight, I'm ready.  But we'll take precautions.  For one, if we go out at night, we'll take a couple of guards with us.  He won't be able to ambush us again so easily."

Lycoris nodded slowly and replied,

"Promise me you'll always be careful, ok? Even if you go out alone . . . I know you're very strong and can take down anything but I don't want you to take any chances. I wouldn't bear it if anything happened to you."

Upon seeing Lycoris' worry for his safety, Ryan smiled softly and replied,

"I promise.  But I would be more worried about you.  If that captain ever hurt you, I'd go to great lengths to see that justice is served."

The puppies barked at Ryan's comment and Ryan added, "And hey, it looks like your boys will protect you."

Lycoris smiled at the puppies' barking and replied softly,

"I'll make sure they're well-protected, too."

She paused then said,

"If you're all rested, we should continue our lesson. This talk about the captain made nothing but more determined to learn my lessons fast and go to defeat him."

Ryan nodded and replied, "Sure, we should get back to the rest of your lesson.  What would you like to work on next?"

Lycoris looked thoughtful and asked, "Are there spells for protecting others? Like creating a defensive shield around someone who's far from me, for example?"

Ryan nodded and replied, "Definitely.  It's harder to create such a shield but it's possible.  Ok, let's work on that next."

He helped Lycoris to her feet and gently led her to the middle of the training room.  Then he explained the spell to her, describing how it works and its effects and such.  Then he walked a little away from Lycoris, demonstrating the spell by casting a protective shield around her.

Lycoris listened to Ryan carefully and took notes to herself as he explained the spell and demonstrated it to her. She then tried to do it herself, casting the spell more than once. It took her some time but she was finally able to cast it successfully, creating a protective shield around Ryan.

Ryan smiled as Lycoris successfully cast the protective shield and commented,

"That was excellent, Lycoris.  Very well done."

He then thought of another spell they could try and remembering one of the spells he used the other evening, he asked,

"Lycoris, do you know how to teleport yourself to another location?"

Putting down the shield, Lycoris shook her head and replied,

"No, I don't really know the spell to do that. Is it difficult to learn?"

Ryan replied, "If the location you wish to teleport to is far away, then it can be a little difficult but if it's nearby, then it's not too bad.  I can teach it to you if you'd like.  Such a spell might be useful when you need to get out of a dangerous situation."

(Getting sleepy here so I'll get off for the night now and get some sleep.  I'll post more tomorrow after I get back from work.  Nite, nite, Love.  ^^)

Lycoris smiled and nodding, she replied,

"I'd like to learn such a spell. It could definitely be quite useful. Is it possible to teleport others with me or does it have to be just me?"

(I finished work early so I'm here now.  XD)

Ryan replied, "You can teleport others.  How difficult it is depends on how you choose to teleport others.  If you have physical contact with them, then it's quite easy but if not, it is a little harder but still doable.

How about I demonstrate the teleport spell for yourself first?"

He then explained the teleportation spell, describing its effects and such.  Then he demonstrated it, teleporting from the middle of the room to a corner.

Lycoris listened carefully to Ryan and once he was done demonstrating the spell, she tried to do it for herself. After a couple of unsuccessful tries, she was able to cast it correctly, teleporting herself near Ryan.

Ryan clapped in delight as he observed Lycoris master the teleport spell and he commented,

"That was wonderful, Lycoris.  It's quite a useful spell and you can use it during future battle simulations."

Lycoris nodded happily and replied,

"I can see a lot of use for this spell. Thanks for teaching it to me, Ryan."

She paused then continued, "Can I try teleporting with you to somewhere, like if I need to teleport someone else with me?"

Ryan nodded and replied, "Sure.  Just hold on to me and you can use the spell the same way as if you were teleporting yourself."

He paused for a moment and then asked, "Do you have any particular place you want to try teleporting to?"
