Alex nodded and replied, "Sure, no problem. We'll be back in a bit."

He turned to Nerine and said, "Let's go see how Bryan is doing."

Ryan noticed the tornado disappear but then saw two dark arrows heading towards him so quickly, he summoned a magical shield in his left hand to prevent the arrows from hitting him.

Nerine nodded and followed Alex to where Bryan and Rosaline were. Rosaline saw the couple approaching and smiling to them, she said,

"Hey, you two. Came to check on my love?"

Irene saw that Ryan could dodge the two arrows with the shield in his hand so she fired more arrows at him, making them larger in number and faster than before.

Alex returned the smile and nodding, he replied, "Yup, that's right. It's been a while since the both of us have talked to you, Bryan."

Bryan nodded and replied, "Sure has. How are you, Nerine?" He looked kindly at Nerine.

Ryan observed the Irene summoned more magic arrows to attack him so using his shield, he kept blocking them, making sure that none of them would hit him. He held on to the shield tightly, moving it around as the arrows headed towards him.

Nerine returned the kind smile and replied, "I am alright, Bryan. What about you? Are you faring well so far?"

Irene saw that Ryan continued dodging her attacks so thinking of another way to attack him, she continued firing arrows at him but then quickly teleported herself behind him and fired a large dark ball at him.

Bryan nodded and replied, "I've been faring well under the circumstances. I miss being with my love all the time, though. How about you, Nerine? Are you being treated well?"

Ryan continued to dodge the arrows with his shield and then suddenly a large dark ball was coming towards him. Quickly, he made himself invisible and then floated a few feet off the ground.

(Hmm, this is a pretty tough battle. XD)

Nerine nodded and replied, "Yeah, don't worry. It's been fine so far and no one bugs us or anything, but it's not the same without you or Avi."

(Yup, definitely. XD)

Irene saw that Ryan turned invisible so formed another tornado, this time twirling around her as she moved fast around the area, hoping to reveal Ryan.

Bryan smiled and replied, "Avi and I feel the same way. It's like we're in the background and we have to depend on you all for the latest news and such. I can't wait to be free and be with my love once more."

Ryan noticed another tornado and knew that it would force him to reveal himself so he had an idea. As the tornado hit him, revealing his whereabouts, he quickly cast an illusion spell, making multiple copies of himself so that it would be hard for Irene to figure out which one of them was real.

Rosaline nodded in agreement and replied, "I miss you so much, too, my love and I miss your presence around us."

Nerine replied, "Time flies and I am sure you two will be out of here before you know it."

Irene groaned to herself as Ryan created multiple copies of him but decided to make the most of it. She created a couple of dark tornados and attacked Ryan and his copies with them, hoping to reveal the real one.

Bryan nodded and replied, "I hope so. I can't wait to be free and for all of us to go home and have peaceful, normal lives."

He turned to Rosaline and playfully added, "That must sound boring to you, my love."

The real Ryan was far away from the tornadoes but the tornadoes did hit his copies, making them disappear. He took the opportunity to cast a gigantic dark ball towards Irene, hoping that it would envelope her and trap her.

Rosaline giggled and replied, "Nah, I actually wouldn't mind some peace for a while. Things have been really hectic and chaotic and I don't think I'd mind if we take a break."

Irene saw the gignatic dark ball coming towards her and quickly teleported away from it. Able to see Ryan now, she cast a freeze spell towards him, hoping to keep him in place.

Bryan grinned and gently holding Rosaline's hands, he replied, "I'm happy you agree with me, my love. Our boys will be happy as well at home and you'll love it. Nerine has seen it, right?"

Ryan noticed that the dark ball missed Irene and then saw her trying a freeze spell on him. He had to think of a way to avert it quickly so again, he made multiple copies of himself and hoped that luck would be on his side and that the spell wouldn't hit him.

Nerine nodded in confirmation and replied, "Yup, it's a large and beautiful home. You're going to love it, Rosaline."

Rosaline nodded happily and replied, "I am sure but as long as Bryan is with me, I will be happy anywhere."

Irene saw that Ryan made some other copies of him and couldn't place her finger on the real one, so she stopped the spell. Deciding to give herself a break, she stopped attacking for a while and decided to go in a defensive stance, remaining on guard in case of any attack he'd make.

(Ooops sorry I took a while to post back. Long story but on another site, I was addressing an NLSian because she was making a stupid argument. Reminds me that leaving NLS was one of the best things to happen ever. XD)

Bryan looked lovingly at Rosaline and replied, "Aww, you're so wonderful, my love."

He then turned back to Nerine and Alex and added, "And it'll be great to be neighbors. We can visit each other regularly."

(Hmm who should win this battle?)

Ryan observed that Irene stopped attacking so he took the opportunity to continue making copies of himself and then he made himself and the copies aim dark energy balls towards Irene.

(lol Definitely. You shouldn't argue with those, you know. It's useless; arguing with a wall is even better. XD)

Nerine smiled and nodding, she replied, "I am sure that will be nice and Alex will like it, too, right?

She turned to Alex for an answer.

(Hmm it's difficult to say since both are quite powerful although Irene is a little more experienced. I guess we should continue until one of them can beat the other? XD)

Irene saw the dark energy balls being fired at her and quickly made a reflective shield to reflect the dark balls at Ryan and his copies.

(lol Definitely. XD)

Alex nodded and replied, "Yup, definitely. It'll be nice for the four of us to be back in Devenshire and live in the fresh air and countryside. I've had enough of city and royal life for a while."

(Ahh sounds good although Ryan says he won't lose easily. XD)

Ryan observed that Irene cast a reflective shield and the dark balls came back directly at the mirror copies and the real Ryan. The copies disappeared and as Ryan was hit with his own energy ball, he fell but wasn't as hurt as he usually would since it was his own spell.

Rosaline nodded in agreement and replied, "Yeah, you're right. We need some peace after all this fuss."

A little after, a soldier knocked on the door and entered, announcing,

"Time is up."

Irene noticed that the real Ryan was revealed so as fast as possible, she directed a group of dark arrows towards him.

Alex nodded to the soldier and turning to Bryan, he said, "I guess we should go but we'll see you after lunch."

Bryan nodded and replied, "Sure, no problem." He turned to Rosaline and lovingly said,

"I'll count the minutes until your return, my love."

Ryan got up quickly only to see a group of dark arrows aiming towards him. He teleported himself away from the arrows' path and then to an area behind Irene. Then he cast another large energy ball towards her.

Rosaline gave Bryan a loving hug and replied, "I will return as soon as I can, my love. Take care of yourself, alright?"

Avi said goodbye to Lycoris as well although he looked a little more troubled than before.

Irene was surprised by the energy ball and got hit by it, getting pushed to the other side of the arena. Wanting to end this, she got up and then cast a powerful spell, creating a strong energy ball to surround Ryan and trap him.

Bryan nodded and returned the hug before he eventually had to let go.

Alex said his goodbyes to Bryan and then escorting Nerine, he went to pick up Lycoris. He observed the troubled look on Avi's face but seeing that he couldn't stay longer to ask him, Alex figured he'd ask him during their next visit.

The party then left and in the hallway, Alex turned to Lycoris and ask, "Did you have a nice chat with Avi, Lycoris?"

Ryan noticed the large energy ball heading towards him and getting the same idea, he cast a large energy ball to aim it towards Irene, hoping to trap her and end the battle.

Lycoris nodded quietly but simply replied, "I did."

She didn't say anything else and kept quiet.

Irene saw Ryan casting the same spell at her so she quickly produced a protective shield around herself and continued casting her spell to make the energy ball form around Ryan and trap him.

Alex noticed that Lycoris was being quiet and he couldn't help but worry about her. However, he couldn't ask Avi until the next visit so he replied,

"That's good to hear. Do you wish to return to your room?"

Ryan noticed Irene casting a protective shield around herself while casting the energy ball. He decided to do the same, casting a protective shield around himself as well.

(Hmm, this might end in a stalemate. XD)

Lycoris nodded and replied, "Yes, please."

(lol That's true. We might have to end this as a draw or something. XD)

Irene noticed Ryan casting a protective shield around him as well so she decided to play a trick on him. She created an illusion of herself and kept it in her place, casting the spell and the shield, while the real her turned invisible and floated away, in order to surprise Ryan with another attack from somewhere else.

Alex nodded and replied, "All right."

He escorted Lycoris back to her room while the others followed. Once they arrived, he turned to Lycoris and said,

"Here we are. One of us will check on you later. Do you have a preference for which one of us you'd like to meet with later?"

Ryan had no idea that the real Irene had turned invisible and he decided to cast large energy balls towards her, hoping to trap the illusion he thought was Irene.

Lycoris didn't reply immediately, as she was surprised and stammered by the question. She wanted Alex to check on her, as she felt most comfortable with him, but there was no way she was going to say that. So, quietly, she replied,

"N-Nerine...if that's okay with her."

Nerine was pleased by her answer and could see that her recent visits to Lycoris were fruitful, so she nodded and replied, "Sure, I don't mind."

Irene was glad that her trick went on Ryan and as he continued firing towards the illusion, she teleported herself behind him and then fired a large dark ball towards him, hoping to trap him and end this.

(Aww, poor Lycoris. :/)

Alex looked a little disappointed that Lycoris didn't choose him to check on her but then he realized that she had stuttered. It was as though she seemed nervous but he knew that now wasn't the best time to address her so he replied,

"Umm all right. Well, we'll leave you to enjoy the peace and solitude."

Ryan continued attacking the illusion, unaware that the real Irene had cast a large dark ball towards him. By the time he realized what had happened, he was too late and he was trapped.

Holding his hands up, he said, "Ok, I surrender. You win."
