William nodded happily in reply and replied, "She sure is. She'll make me feel old now but we'll catch her together, pretty."

He increased his speed a little, doing his best to catch Megan.

Nerine observed Bryan a moment then sighing, she replied,

"I won't mind your presence but I am sure watching me sleep is quite boring. You don't have to do that."

Stacey grinned and did the same, keeping pace with William and doing her best to catch Megan.

Meanwhile, Megan continued to run fast and she would glance over her shoulder to see how far back William and Stacey were.

Bryan smiled and replied, "I won't mind. Tell you what-why don't I stay until you fall asleep and then I'll leave? Would that be all right?"

William went as fast as possible and soon, he was beginning to approach Megan. Grinning happily, he said to her,

"I'll catch my little pretty!"

Nerine nodded and replied, "Sure, that would be fine."

She got up and went to the bed, climbing into it and pulling the covers over her.

Megan giggled and briefly sticking her tongue out at William, she replied,

"We'll see about that!"

She ran even faster, making it harder for either William or Stacey to catch her.

Bryan took a seat next to Nerine and gently, he stroked her hair and smiled at her, hoping that his presence would give her some peace.

William saw Megan running even faster and although he tried to increase his speed, he was winded from runnng twice before. Nevertheless, he continued running after her although she was ahead of him.

Nerine made herself comfortable and as Bryan stroked her hair and stayed by her side so, she felt safer. Wishing to confess something before falling asleep, she quietly said as she kept her gaze away from Bryan,

"I haven't been sleeping well lately. I always sleep late, and wake up early. Even when I do sleep, I wake up a lot during the night. I never feel safe. Always afraid."

Stacey tried to keep up as well although she was a little tired from all the earlier running.

Megan saw how far ahead she was and intentionally, she slowed down, hoping that she would be caught.

Bryan looked at Nerine with worry in his eyes and gently, he asked,

"Have you told Alex this? He should know."

William noticed Megan slowing down and wondered if she was getting tired as well. He tried to keep up with his speed and not slow down, hoping that he could get closer to her and catch her.

Nerine shook her head and replied, "How could I tell him that when he's the source of my fear? I sleep late to make sure that he sleeps first, and wake up early to make sure he's still there. I am always afraid that the moment I close my eyes, he'd abandon me and go to her. At night, I wake up a lot, just to make sure that I can wake up, that he hadn't drugged me again. How could I ever tell him that?"

Megan glanced over her shoulder and saw that William was catching up to her. Smiling to herself, she slowed down a little more, hoping that it would be enough for him to catch her.

Bryan replied, "I can understand but still, he should know, even though he's the source of your sleeplessness. It couldn't hurt to show some vulnerability to him. You've probably observed that he tends to be sympathetic when it comes to that trait."

William noticed Megan slowing down a bit more and finally catching up with her, he caught her around the waist and happily said,

"There, I got you."

Nerine nodded and replied, "I know but I can't bring myself to tell him in the face that I don't trust him. It would definitely hurt, wouldn't it? But it's okay. After what happened today, I figured that he probably doesn't need my absence to show his feelings. Maybe it's better that way."

Megan giggled happily and hugging William, she replied,

"Yays! You finally caught me."

Bryan was unsure of how to reply to Nerine's insecurities so instead, he held Nerine's right hand and gently squeezed it. He then said,

"No matter what, you'll always be my friend, right? I hope that we can trust each other. You know, it's not like I don't have insecurities as well but I try my best to get through them and not lose hope."

William took his breathes but as he did, he happily said, "I did but man, that sure was tough. My little pretty is so quick and sportive. I was getting tired there."

Nerine looked a little confused, wondering what insecurities Bryan could have. Unable to prevent herself from asking about that, she replied,

"I never thought of that, Bryan. I mean, you look pretty happy, with Rosaline with you and you being quite successful in your work. Why would you be afraid of anything?"

Megan giggled and replied, "But I'm happy you finally caught me."

She gave William kisses on both of his cheeks. Stacey caught up to them and seeing the gesture, she cutely pouted.

Bryan sighed and replied, "Well, when Ryan first entered our lives, that's when I felt insecure. I didn't trust him from the start, thinking that he was up to no good, and he did things like try to take my love away from me. Even though I made things up with him afterwards and told him and my love that it was ok if they loved each other, a little part of me has never been ok with it. I would never tell my love such a thing because I want her happy but it is a little weird to share her. So in a way, I can understand how you feel."

William returned Megan's kisses happily and then noticed Stacey nearby, pouting cutely. Chuckling quietly, he said,

"And there is a kiss for you too, pretty."

He approached her and leaned in to give her a soft kiss on the lips.

Nerine listened as Bryan told her of the situation between him, Rosaline and Ryan. After he was done, she sighed and quietly replied,

"It looks like we both share the same situation, except that Rosaline does love you a lot. I mean, I don't know how she is with Ryan but when I saw them together before, I had no idea that there could be a relationship between them. I'd say that Rosaline gives her priority to you first."

Stacey happily returned William's kiss and then teasingly replied, "Now I know how Megan feels when I see you two kiss."

Megan nodded and replied, "Yup, exactly."

Bryan gave a small smile and replied, "Yeah, I think so, too. I guess after my amnesia, things changed. And even after everything that happened, I love my love so very much.

I know my situation isn't exactly the same as yours but I can understand feeling insecure."

Now William pouted and replied, "Aww but what do I do then? I love both of my pretties very much and I want to kiss them both, you know."

Nerine nodded and after a few moments of silence, she replied,

"I probably hurt your head today with my problems but thank you, Bryan. I'll go ahead and get some sleep now."

She closed her eyes and feeling a little better and safe, it took her a few minutes to fall asleep.

Stacey and Megan giggled happily and Stacey replied, "Hmm perhaps you can wait until we're all together and then you can kiss us?"

Megan replied, "That's a good idea!"

Bryan watched as Nerine fell asleep, gently stroking her hair. After a few minutes passed and Bryan felt certain that Nerine truly was asleep, he quietly got out of his seat and left the room, making sure to close the door quietly behind him. Then he went downstairs and to the gardens to join the others.

William smiled and chuckling, he replied, "Aww alright. I love kissing you both but I wouldn't want you fighting over who wants to be kissed first now, would I?"

In the gardens, the others were enjoying their time, enjoying each other's company and the beautiful sights. However, Rosaline was getting a little worried as Bryan was taking awfully long with Nerine. So when she finally saw him come down, she approached him quickly and with a little worry over her face, she said,

"There you are, my love. I was getting worried there. Is everything ok? You took a little long."

Stacey and Megan giggled happily and Stacey replied, "That wouldn't be a pleasant sight now, would it?"

Megan shook her head and replied, "Definitely not. We'd both fight for William's kisses."

Bryan reached out to give Rosaline a quick hug and replied, "I'm sorry, my love. Nerine and I were talking about some things and I guess I lost track of time. She's asleep now, though, and it looks like she needed it."

Alex approached Bryan and asked, "Is my darling all right?"

Bryan looked uncertainly at Alex and replied, "I don't know if now is the right time to talk about it. Maybe later."

William laughed happily and replied, "I wouldn't want to see that so don't worry-my kisses will be always for you and you alone and there will be always enough for everyone."

Rosaline was a little worried about Nerine as well but nodding, she replied,

"You're right. I do hope Nerine will be fine. She didn't look very well earlier but at least she's resting now."

She returned Bryan's hug and said, "I missed you, my love."

Stacey grinned as did Megan and Megan replied, "Good. Then our kisses will only be for you!"

Stacey added, "Megan's right. We won't kiss any other man except you, handsome."

Bryan smiled and replied, "I missed you, too, my love. Are you enjoying the gardens with everyone else? The flowers look beautiful although they aren't nearly as beautiful as you."

William grinned happily and replied, "Good, because I wouldn't want to be jealous and go after other men then. We're only for one another."

Rosaline smiled over Bryan's compliment and replied, "I am but it's not the same without having you with me. But now that you're here, I can enjoy the gardens fully with you."

Megan nodded happily and replied, "Yup, that's right! We're all perfect for each other."

Stacey added, "That's right."

Bryan nodded happily and replied, "Yup, let's make the most of the morning."

Alex turned to Bryan and asked, "Should I go keep my darling company?"

Bryan shook his head and replied, "I think it's better for Nerine to have some alone time now. She's sleeping but she'll probably join us once she wakes up."

Alex nodded although he didn't like leaving Nerine by herself, worrying about her.

William smiled happily then asked,

"So, what now? Are you up to do something else?"

Rosaline turned to Bryan and in a low voice, she asked,

"Is everything alright with Nerine? I saw how she was earlier but she'll be ok, right?"

Megan replied, "Can we fly the kite again for a little longer?"

Stacey nodded and replied, "Sure. We have a little bit of time left before lunch."

Bryan waited until Alex joined Lycoris and Avi and then he replied quietly, "I'm not sure. She's having security problems with Alex and I tried to help but I don't know how much good I did."

William nodded as well and replied, "Sure, we can do that."

He led the way to the bench where the kite and foldiers were and picked up the kite, then led the way to a spot where they could fly it freely.

Rosaline replied, "I see. I thought things were beginning to patch up between them, though. I mean, they seemed to be getting better for the past few days."
