Romance RP

Mark nodded and replied, "Aye, that is good indeed. I have to wake up earlier myself to get here on time.

So here by yourself today?"

(Ahh I got it. Thanks again. ^^)

William nodded as he continued working and replied, "Yeah. Stacey preferred to stay home today. So I have the work to focus on here."

(You're welcome. ^^)

Mark began his work, picking up his tools and focusing on his task at hand. He replied jokingly,

"I see. So your wife distracts you from work?"

William couldn't help but chuckle lightly and replying, he said,

"Well, perhaps. I mean, at the end of the day, when I prefer to continue the task on hand, I'd have to leave it because she would be waiting at the entrance. But this way, I can work without having to worry about leaving her waiting."

Mark chuckled as well and replied, "Aye, that I understand. But now that you're married, it's not a good idea to come home too late to her. Not sure if Lady Stacey is like most wives but if she is, she'll worry if you're late.

I should remember these things when I get married."

William nodded in agreement and replied, "Yeah, I guess so. One thing about marriage is that you are not responsible for yourself alone anymore. That can be a little troublesome at first but I guess we'll get used to it eventually."

Mark continued to work and replied, "True. But as long as you love the lady, that's what's important."

He took a deep breath and then continued, "The air here sure is much cleaner than back in town."

William continued working and replied, "Yeah. Makes you want to work harder."

Mark nodded and replied, "Yup, sure does. This project of Lady Stacey's is a good idea and I know she's well-known for being quite generous to the common people."

(If you want, we can skip on ahead to lunch. I have an idea that'll probably annoy William. )

(Oooh that would be great. You can take care of the skipping so that you present your idea well. xD)

William nodded and replied, "Yeah, I definitely agree. I guess that makes me the lucky guy here."

He continued working hard.

(Ok. XD)

Mark smiled and replied, "Yup, you sure are lucky to have her."

Mark and William, along with the other workers, continued to work hard throughout the morning. Bill would walk by and check up on them, pointing out any mistakes.

After the morning hours passed, the bell rang, signaling that it was time for lunch. Mark put down his tools, stretched out his arms for a moment, and turning to William, he said,

"I'm going to get something to eat. Are you coming or do you want me to grab something for you?"

(It doesn't matter whether William goes to eat or continues to work. My idea will work either way. XD)

(Okay then. xD)

William thought about it for a moment but then decided to stay on work. Although Stacey assured him to have lunch, he wasn't very hungry and thought he would eat later. So replying, he said,

"Nah, you get going. I'd like to finish my task first."

Mark replied, "Ok. I'll grab you a bottle of water in case you don't get a chance to get something."

He then left with the other workers to get some food at a nearby buffet table for lunch.

Meanwhile, Steven had taken a break and after grabbing a plate and some food, he searched for William. Seeing that William wasn't among the other workers getting lunch, Steven searched further and there, he saw William still working. He observed that William was alone so now Steven thought that it was time to put his plan into action.

Casually, he walked towards William, trying to behave as normally as possible.

Although William was busy with his work, he could see Steven nearby, and he looked like he was approaching him. He wondered what could that guy want with him but he reacted with none, continuing his work normally and completely ignoring him.

Steven finally reached William and glancing at him, he said,

"Hello there. I see that you're still working but you can take a break, you know. Grab something to eat. It'll help."

Steven behaved as friendly as possible towards William, hoping to catch him off guard somehow.

William had no idea why would Steven want to chat with him, considering how unfriendly he has been with him most of times. But not wanting to be rude in the workplace, he decided to try to turn him off by pretending to be busy, so he replied,

"Well, I do prefer to spend my free time working than wasting it uselessly. It's how I like working."

He continued working, hoping it might turn Steven off.

Steven could see that William was trying to chase him away but he wouldn't be so easily deterred. He replied in turn,

"It's not a waste to take a break and recharge. Overworking oneself isn't usually a good idea. Here, we can split the food I took. I took quite a lot and won't be able to finish it all by myself. What do you say?"

(I wonder if William is only getting more annoyed by Steven. lol)

(lol He can't stand his presence around him. xD)

William continued ignoring Steven and replying as he continued to work, he replied, "No, thanks. If I had wanted to eat, I could have simply gone to take my own lunch. You can keep your food."

(lol)

Steven replied in his friendly way, "If you insist but this is absolutely delicious. Lord Connelly told me that Stacey had chosen the caterers to deliver the food. She sure does have excellent taste.

I know what. If you don't want to take a break now, how about we get a drink after work? You should be free then."

William was surprised by Steven's insistence to hang out with him when he just couldn't stand him. Trying to control his temper as best as he could, he replied,

"No, thank you. I appreciate your invite but Stacey waits for me then back at home and I don't like to keep her waiting."

Steven replied, "I understand. Stacey would worry if you didn't return right away but how about tomorrow? You can ask Stacey and see if it's ok with her. She should be ok with the idea and we can get to know each other better."

He hoped that William would agree to the idea but saw that it would be no easy task.

William wanted to groan at Steven for he kept insisting so much on going out with him, and stopping his work for a moment to look seriously at Steven, he replied,

"No thanks. I'd rather spend my time with her. She misses me all day, you know, and I'd be cruel if I spend my free time away from her."

He hoped that this would finally turn Steven away.

Steven was a little discouraged that William kept refusing his offer to hang out. Not knowing what else to do, he said,

"If that's what you think but Stacey doesn't seem to be the needy type, as I can tell. Well, I'll go finish my lunch but I'll talk to you again soon."

He waved goodbye and walked away in a friendly manner.

(Don't worry. Steven won't give up although he feels a little discouraged at the moment. XD)

(lol He shouldn't be so easily. xD The way is long ahead, Steve. xD)

William sighed in relief as Steven walked away. He was seriously annoyed by how he kept insisting on him. But at least he was gone now so he continued working hard, although he was still thinking about how annoyed that was.

A little later, the bell rang, signaling that lunch was over and that it was time for the workers to return to their jobs. Mark returned, carrying a bottle of water with him. Approaching William, he handed the bottle to him and said,

"Here. Figured you could use it since you didn't get something to eat."
