William nodded in agreement and replied, "Yeah. This inn should be over soon, I think, and I'd like to see it completed as soon as possible."

He began working hard and progressing well.

Mark continued to work hard as well and the morning hours passed on like so.

During that time, Lord James had returned to the construction site. Although part of his reason was to oversee the inn, he wanted to talk to to Lord Connelly and confront him about something regarding Stacey. Marching straight to Lord Connelly's office, Lord James went inside and found Lord Connelly to have a "talk."

William continued working hard, making sure to progress better. He was at high spirits and that helped him make more progress and a better job.

Inside Lord Connelly's office, Lord James and Lord Connelly were having an argument. All of a sudden, Lord James stormed out of the office and almost in a rage, he looked at the workers, all the while verbally demanding to know who was with Stacey now. Lord James had had a spy follow Stacey and the spy reported that she was seen at times with another man although he had no idea who he was.

Lord Connelly followed Lord James, trying to calm him down and to assure him that the man in question, if there was any man, wasn't one of his workers. However, Lord Connelly had a feeling that William might encounter some trouble from Lord James and thought it best to warn him the first opportunity he got.

William continued working on his job and was unaware of what was happening downstairs. He continued progressing well and his work was close to a finish.

However, Lord James refused to get calm and he went upstairs, pointing to various men and asked rather loudly, "Is it him? Him?!" He'd pointed to Mark who looked surprised at seeing Lord James in quite a fit.

Lord Connelly followed Lord James and kept trying to tell him to calm down. At the same time, he told him that it wasn't any of his workers with Stacey.

Mark whispered to William, "This is bad but I have no idea why Lord James is so upset."

William was surprised as well as Lord James came in quite a rage and kept shouting and pointing at men. Nodding to Mark, he replied,

"Yeah. I wonder what's gotten him so much in a rage."

He wondered if Stacey had to go with any of it, as Lord James had argued with her the day before.

Lord James continued behaving in such a manner but after a while, Lord Connelly finally managed to calm him down. He told Lord James that it was difficult for the workers to get work done and so Lord James left although a bit reluctantly.

Once Lord James left, Mark replied, "Whew. At least things get calm again."

(I have to get off to eat dinner now but I'll be back. ^^)

William nodded and was glad as well that Lord James could calm down although he was still wondering what was the reason of such rage. However, he pushed the thoughts out of his head and turned his attention back to his job.

(Back now. I had some things to do after dinner but I'm here. ^^)

The rest of the morning passed without any more interruptions or events happening. The bell rang to signal that it was time to go to lunch and Mark put down his tools. He stretched briefly and then said,

"Time to grab something to eat. I'll go get a bottle of water for you."

(Ahh welcome back. ^^)

William put down his tools as well and shaking his head, he replied,

"Ahh thanks, but I am coming with you this time. I'll have lunch as well today."

Mark was surprised when he heard William reply that he would have lunch, too, but nodding, he replied, "Ahh ok. Let's go then."

He led the way downstairs to the buffet table which had a nice delicious spread of food. Grabbing a plate, Mark said,

"We can help ourselves to whatever we like. There's plenty around for everyone."

William nodded and got himself a plate as well. Then he started taking some of the food in the buffet but he didn't take too much as he still wasn't ready to eat a lot.

Mark got some food and put it on his plate as well. Once he was done, he turned to William and said, "Let's sit with some of the others and chat."

He led the way to where some of the other workers sat and were having lunch. Mark introduced William to them and engaged in chatting about trivial matters and so forth.

William wasn't the very social type but he just made things go on smoothly as he ate his lunch and so.

The lunch hour flew by quickly and soon enough, the bell rang to signal that lunch was over and that the workers would need to go back to their posts. Mark finished up the last of his lunch and then threw away his trash. Then he waited for William to finish up so that they would go back upstairs and continue working on their tasks.

William finished up his lunch as well and put away his trash, then he led the way with Mark back to the workplace where both of them returned back to continue their jobs.

Once they arrived back at their stations, Mark picked up his tools and then resumed his work. The other workers did as well and the early hours of the afternoon proceeded so.

Lord Connelly returned from having lunch a little later and immediately went to his office. He reminded himself that he needed to talk to William before the day was over.

William continued working hard and progressing and he was close to the finish of his work. He did his best so that at the end of the day, his job would be all done and over.

Later that afternoon, Bill found Mark and William and turning to William, he said,

"Lord Connelly wants to talk to you about something. You should go see him before the day is over, ok? I wanted to pass the message on to you."

William wondered what did Lord Connelly want to tell him but nodding, he replied,

"Ahh alright. I will do that as soon as possible."

Bill replied, "All right then. I'll let you two get back to work."

He then went downstairs to tend to some of his other duties.

After Bill had gone, Mark commented, "I wonder what Lord Connelly wants. I hope it's nothing serious."

William nodded and replied, "Yeah, same here."

He turned back to work which he was finishing up but he was still wondering what was up, and if what Lord James had done in the morning had to do with it.

Mark continued to work on his tasks and although he was curious to know what Lord Connelly wanted to talk to William about, he didn't press into the matter. He figured that William would talk to him later about it probably. He then said,

"We should make sure to collect our payment for the week. It's the end of the week and we mustn't forget."

(I hope it's ok that I made it the end of the week since I want the next day to be the weekend. XD)

(lol Okay, I don't mind. xD)

William nodded and replied, "Yeah, you reminded me."

He continued progressing and the time passed and he was soon done with his job. It was pretty close to the end of the workday so getting up, he said,

"There are a few minutes left before the day is over so I'll go see Lord Connelly."
