Romance RP

Mark nodded and then went to resume his work. Picking up his tools, he went to the next room and continued to apply wallpaper to the walls of the room, making sure to do so carefully and methodically.

William continued working on his job, applying the wallpaper nicely and carefully. He was making fair progress and was halfway done through the room.

Mark was a little further behind than William was, as he had taken lunch breaks and such while William opted not to. However, Mark was making good progress as well and the afternoon was very productive.

Meanwhile, Stacey resumed doing chores although her heart was saddened. She had hoped that William really did begin to love her but she only found out that he did so to get rid of her. But she felt that he had manipulated her heart in some way and it was a burden.

William continued working as the afternoon passed, progressing well and fairly, although his mind would wander off at times, but he continued to work on his job.

The hours of the afternoon passed and as the weather was cooperating nicely, a lot of work was done.

Then it was only about an hour left before work would be over for the day. Mark felt a little tired but satisfied with the progress he was making.

William continued working on his job, and noticed that the time was running out and that the day was soon going to be over. Fortunately, he was going well and progressing fairly.

After an hour more passed, the bell rang to signal that work was over for the day and that the employees could go home for the day. Mark put down his tools and stretched himself for a few moments. Then picking them back up, he proceeded to put them away in the storage shed but stopped by to see how much progress William had made.

William had done much progress but then he heard the bell ring the end for the day. He would have continued anyways but as he didn't feel very up to it, he began to gather up his tools. While doing so, he saw Mark stopping by and said,

"Looks like we are done for today."

Mark nodded and replied, "Aye, that we are. Are you going home? You must be tired after all that work we did today."

He waited for William to finish gathering his tools so that they could go down to the storage shed together to put them away.

William replied as he finished gathering his tools, "No, I think I'll take a walk around the town or something. Not up to going home yet."

He then led the way to the storage shed to put away their tools.

Mark followed William down to the storage shed and put away his tools as well. Once he was done with that, Mark turned to William and said,

"I'll be heading on home now. I could use the rest. See you here tomorrow?"

William nodded and replied, "Yeah. See you."

He then went out of the construction site, walking away from it. He didn't know where to go after that. He didn't want to go home yet, he just didn't feel like doing so. He kept just walking around the town, his thoughts filling his head.

At that moment, Megan was walking in town, heading back to the orphanage from school. She had stayed late to get some additional lessons from her art teacher, who was willing to help Megan on occasion for free. As she walked back, she saw William and waving in a friendly manner, she said,

"William, William!"

Megan was a little surprised to see that Stacey wasn't with him, as the two were usually seen together.

William was walking around when he heard someone calling him, and turning to the direction of the sound, he saw Megan, who looked to be on her way from school. Although he was troubled at the time, he smiled softly to her and replied,

"Hey, Megan. Coming back from school, I assume?"

Megan ran to William and briefly catching her breath, she nodded and replied, "Yup. I had art lessons late today so I'm on my way back now. Are you here by yourself?"

Since she didn't see Stacey, Megan assumed that was the case.

William nodded and replied, "Ahh yeah, I am. Just finished work and was having a walk around. How are you with your lessons and all? I am sure you are doing great."

Megan nodded happily and replied, "Yup. My teacher says that I'm improving each time we meet. I can't wait to do your portrait, William. It'll be so much fun."

She held William's hand and looking cutely at him, she then asked, "Would you like company during your walk? I'm supposed to go back to the orphanage but a few more minutes won't hurt."

Although William's thinking troubled mood would have usually made him refuse, something made him feel okay about it. So nodding, he replied,

"Yeah, sure. It will be nice to have you around, Megan."

He held her hand and together, he walked with her around.

Megan happily held William's hand and followed him as they took a walk in town. She felt happy to run into William and enjoyed the time with him.

(Looks like I finally found William's weak spot. lol)

Although William was walking hand in hand with Megan, he couldn't distract the thoughts away from his mind, especially that now Megan was with him. His mind was troubled although he did his best to not show them.

As they walked together, Megan looked up at William and innocently asked,

"What do you do at work, William? You look so strong so it must be something with strength."

William turned to Megan then and replied, "Well, I work at a construction site. You know, so we build buildings and such. It requires strength but not so much."

Megan nodded and replied, "That's so cool. I hope I can see you at work sometime."

She looked up at the sky and noticed that it was getting darker but not too dark. Looking at William, she said, "This is like our second date and I like it a lot. I love spending time with you."

William smiled softly and replied, "Yeah, me too, Megan."

But that only made it harder for William, for it troubled him more and he didn't know what to do.

However, Megan was unaware of William's troubled state of mind and continued to enjoy their walk around town. She wasn't much of a chatty person but with William, Megan felt like talking more around him.

As they continued walking, Megan said, more to herself than to William, "I hope there are more days like this. I feel happy when I'm with you. Whatever troubles are on my mind disappear."
