Ryan nodded and softly replied back, "I won't. I promise with all of my heart that this place will be just for us."

He paused for a moment and then he wanted to ask her something. "Umm why did you want to take me here instead of Bryan? I'd think that Bryan is your husband so you two would want such a special place. But don't get me wrong-I love that we're here right now."

During the meal, Bryan turned to Nerine and attempting to make conversation, he asked, "Does it feel different being back in Lessire from being in Devenshire? The feel of the towns sure is different, don't you think?"

Rosaline replied, "Well, I did share with Bryan my favorite spot in the Park of Lovers plus...you are a special friend, and I wanted to share with you something special, too."

Nerine nodded to Bryan and replied, "Yup. Devenshire is a lot more peaceful and safer, and people there are more friendly. Here, although it is a nice place, isn't as beautiful as Devenshire."

Ryan blushed and felt warmed that Rosaline would think of him as someone very special to her. He looked into her eyes with such care and then he replied, "Thank you, Rosaline. You know, you are very special to me, too, in so many ways. I can't begin to describe how much you mean to me and the relationship we have. And if..."

He was about to say that if they had met before Rosaline married Bryan, perhaps then, she and Ryan might have gotten together but he thought that that would spoil the moment.

Bryan nodded in agreement and replied, "Ahh yup, I must say that I do agree with you there. But in all fairness, Lessire is a larger town so it would have more people and not be as safe whereas in Devenshire, it's smaller but there's a lot more land. And of course, we're great neighbors and for that, I'm glad."

Bryan smiled at Nerine after that last comment.

Rosaline wondered what was Ryan going to say but suddenly stopped. With a curious look, she asked, "And if what? Why did you suddenly trail off?"

Nerine smiled in return and continued eating, soon beginning to finish up.

Ryan longed to tell Rosaline, to finally tell her how he felt, to tell her that he loved her. But he didn't want to ruin things between them. So attempting to be cool, he replied,

"Oh I just meant that I wished we had meant under different circumstances, you know? I mean, I wish we had just bumped into each other on the street or something like that, under more casual situations."

Alex continued to eat happily, for he was quite hungry. Bryan was finishing up, though, as were Edward and Eleanor. Lunch was very pleasant and everyone was enjoying themselves.

Rosaline remembered how she and Ryan met and how things weren't so pleasant. But she shook her head and replied, "Never mind that. Just because we...didn't begin so well, doesn't mean that our relationship cannot be pleasant. And look at us now, we are close friends, are we not?"

Lisianthus was finishing up, too and Nerine was soon all done. She enjoyed her lunch very much as did Sia.

Ryan blushed and simply nodded his head, feeling tongue-tied. He suddenly felt so shy around Rosaline although at the same time very happy to be with her.

Soon, Alex finished up his food and Bryan was already done, waiting on the others. Eleanor and Edward then finished up and seeing that everyone was done, Edward said,

"How about I go pay for our meals?"

Alex shook his head and got up, replying, "I should pay, Dad. After all, you and Mom are visitors here and it's the least that I can do. I'll be back."

He smiled at his parents and then walked to the front of the restaurant to take care of the bill.

Rosaline smiled and then noticed that they were still standing. She thought she had to ask, "So do you want to sit under this tree," she pointed at a large tree where they could gaze at the ocean clearly, "Or would you like to lay down on the grass and stare at the stars? The grass is pretty soft and comfortable. Choose what you like, I am fine either way."

Ryan thought for a moment. He liked either option and since Rosaline didn't have a preference, he made up his mind. He replied,

"I would love to lay down on the grass and look up at the stars. They're so clear and bright, aren't they?"

After a few minutes, Alex returned to everyone else and said, "I'm all done now. How about we head to the art museum like my darling mentioned earlier? I would surely love to go there."

Eleanor replied, "That sounds good. I always love to view beautiful art."

Rosaline nodded gladly and replied, "They are indeed. Alright then, laying down it is."

She went to a comfortable spot and sat down then laid down carefully, make sure not to touch her wounded arm.

Nerine nodded and replied, "Shall we go then? The museum isn't far from here."

Lisianthus said in excitement, "I am all ready and set!"

Ryan followed Rosaline and then laid down on the grass beside her. He looked at her wounded arm and was worried whether she was all right, whether her arm was still in pain. He asked,

"Hey, is it hurting? Maybe I can look in my bag and see if I bought any items that might help with the pain."

Edward nodded and replied, "Yup, let's go." He got up and then helped Eleanor to her feet. Bryan agreed and got up as well, waiting for the others.

Then Alex helped Nerine and Lisianthus to their feet and then he turned to Nerine to take the lead, since she knew the way to the museum.

Rosaline quickly shook her head and replied, "No, no, I am fine. It aches a little every once in a while but I am ok."

Nerine nodded and began leading the way to the art museum. The streets were quiet since the daylight was fading away and most people were going home.

Ryan nodded and replied, "Ahh all right then. But perhaps after a little time here, I could take you to a doctor or a healer for your arm. But if you don't want that, then the only other option might be is if I take you back to my place. I have a spellbook there and it does have a healing spell. I would have used it but I'm not a professional healer so I never bothered to remember such spells."

Alex walked beside Nerine, escorting her as they all walked towards the museum. Bryan followed, as did Edward and Eleanor. Eleanor looked around and saw that a lot of people were heading towards their houses and she commented, "This is kind of like Devenshire. Around this time, people usually go home after a hard day of work."

Rosaline shook her head and replied, "No, it's ok. It'll heal itself after some time. Problem is that is if Bryan saw it. What would I tell him?"

Nerine nodded to Eleanor and replied, "That's true but I think streets are safe in Devenshire, unlike here. At night, not many people walk around this time."

Ryan thought about it and then replied, "Hmm well, you could tell Bryan the truth but leave out the part about me? You could say that you were walking in the streets and those thugs suddenly attacked you but you were able to fend them off but got injured in the process. That is the truth and that reasoning is perfectly plausible to me."

Eleanor replied, "Ahh yes, I see. That's too bad, though. Perhaps the policing here isn't as good as in Devenshire? Although I think it's about the same but probably the difference is that Devenshire has those reform programs that I mentioned to you about."

She was referring to the volunteer work to help feed the poor and homeless.

Rosaline nodded and replied, "Sounds good to me. Hopefully, he won't go overprotective or anything like that or disallow me to go out again."

She said that partly jokingly.

Nerine nodded in agreement and replied, "That may be the case. But I think greed is another reason as well, for some people just want more than they already have."

Ryan chuckled in reply at the joke and said, "Same here. After all, I want to be with you as often as possible."

He winked at her and then looked up at the sky, admiring how beautiful the stars were.

Eleanor replied, "Ahh I see. Greed is a human vice, I suppose. Not something to be proud of, I'm sure."

Alex added, "I agree. I'm so glad that we have plenty, for I can support my darling always."

Rosaline smiled in returned and looked up at the stars as well. The night was so beautiful and the stars were like dancing happily. The air was so pure and the soft cold breezes were passing by.

Nerine smiled at Alex and soon enough, they were standing in front of the museum. It was a beautiful grand place.

"Here we are. The grandest art museum in Lessire."

Ryan continued looking up at the stars and every once in a while, he would sneak a glance at Rosaline. He loved being with her and he felt like the happiest man on Earth whenever they were together. Despite his fear of telling her his love, perhaps it wouldn't be such a bad idea to at least give it a try, to confess how he felt. But first, he needed to know how Rosaline would welcome such news. So he coughed a little and then asked,

"Umm, Rosaline? Can I ask you something?"

Eleanor looked at the entrance to the art museum and marveled at its beauty. She remarked, "Wow, this is such a beautiful building. It looks as grand as the museum back in Devenshire. I can't wait to go inside and see the artwork."

Rosaline wondered what could Ryan want to ask her now. She looked at him and replied, "Sure, Ryan. What is it?"

Nerine replied, "We should go in then."

She led the way inside, where the place was very grand and luxurious as well.

While looking up at the stars, Ryan asked, "If I were to tell you something, confess something to you but you didn't like it, would you ever get angry at me? I mean, it's not exactly bad news but it's something that you may not have expected."

He pondered over telling Rosaline his feelings for her but wasn't sure how she'd take such news.

Alex walked beside Nerine, taking her lead in entering the museum. Edward and Eleanor followed closely behind them, as did Bryan.

Rosaline was surprised by the question and didn't know why would he ask such a thing. But she replied, "I guess it depends on what that thing is. If it would make me really angry or if it's just a light thing. Not really sure."

After they had entered and passed, inside they could see beautiful pieces of art. There were pieces of all kinds and of all sizes. It was a beautiful place.

Ryan nodded in reply and looked back at the sky. He surmised then that he shouldn't tell her how he felt. It was a pretty major thing declaring love to someone, especially if that someone was already married, and he was so afraid that Rosaline would reject him. He sighed quietly and continued to look at the sky, gazing at the stars as though they would give him an answer or something.

Eleanor and Edward marveled at the beautiful artwork and Eleanor commented, "These art pieces are so lovely. I love the use of color in this one." She pointed at a beautiful painting hanging on one of the walls.

Rosaline saw the look on Ryan's face and touching him gently, she looked at him kindly and asked, "Umm is anything bothering you? Tell me if you want. Maybe I can help."

Nerine looked at the painting and replied, "Yup, this one is pretty. And this one is, too."

She pointed at another painting.

Ryan looked at Rosaline and saw the gentleness in her eyes and he wondered if he could tell, if he could finally confess how he felt. They were in the most romantic place he ever saw and so he took a deep breath and said,

"Do you remember when we talked about the one I love? It turns out that she's married so I don't think I have a chance with her."

Everyone was admiring the different paintings and so forth and Bryan turned to Lisianthus and asked, "Is the art back in your world very similar?"
