Greg nodded and replied, "Of course, honey. But you must get plenty of rest now as well."

He then got up and waited for Rosalind so the two of them would walk together into the kitchen.

The king replied, "Why thank you, Nerine. I am so pleased to hear that you love Devenshire."

The queen added, "Now we must introduce ourselves. I'm Queen Clarisse and my husband is King Daniel. And the other nobles and ladies will be here soon so you must meet them."

Rosalind got up as well and then took the lead to the kitchen.

Nerine replied, "It will be a pleasure to meet them, your majesty."

Greg followed Rosalind into the kitchen to help prepare the drinks for the celebration of the upcoming baby. He was so happy and his heart overflowed with joy at the prospect of becoming a father.

Queen Clarisse replied, "And I'm sure they will be delighted to meet you as well. Ahh here they come now."

At the entrance where Eleanor and the others had entered from, there were other couples, all nobles and ladies. They all approached the king and queen and bowed and curtseyed as appropriately.

Alex took Nerine to the side while the procession occurred and whispered,

"So what are your first thoughts, darling?"

Rosalind went into the kitchen and then began to bring some glasses. She asked Greg, "Honey, would you mind to bring me the juices from the fridge?"

Nerine whispered back, "The queen and the king are very nice as it seems. But I admit I am still a bit nervous."

Greg replied, "Sure, dear. I'll get the juice."

He walked to the icebox and got out some orange juice and fruit juice. He then walked back to where Rosalind was with the glasses.

"Shall I pour the juice, honey?"

Alex whispered in reply, "Oh why's that, darling?"

Rosalind replied, "Ahh nope, my dear. I can take care of it."

She took the juices from Greg and began to pour it in the glasses.

Nerine whispered, "Umm perhaps it's my first time in a while and all?"

Greg waited as Rosalind poured the juice, waiting for her signal to carry the glasses back to the living room.

Alex nodded and was about to reply when the king said, "Now that we're all here, I have a very important announcement to make. As you know, the queen and I do not have a son or daughter to inherit the throne from us after we pass on although we hope to live for many years. And as we do not have any relatives to claim the throne, my Clarisse and I have made a decision.

But more on that later. Now let's all gather into the ballroom where there is light refreshment and dancing."

The king and queen stood up and led the way to the ballroom with the other couples following. Edward escorted Eleanor while Alex did the same for Nerine.

Rosalind soon finished pouring the juices in the glasses, making sure there is an equal number of this and that. She soon finished and then putting everything aside, she carried the tray and told Greg,

"Please lead the way, my love."

Greg nodded and thus led the way out of the kitchen. He opened the door for Rosalind to make sure that she would have no trouble getting out with the tray. Then he led the way back to the living room where the others were waiting.

Greg announced, "Hey, everyone, we're back and we have juice to celebrate."

Soon they all arrived in the ballroom which was beautifully decorated. The walls were white with gold outlined on the corners of the ceilings. In the room itself, there was a long white table with a lot of different food ranging from cookies, brownies to sandwiches. Also, there was lots of different juices and tea. Outside the windows of the ballroom, one could see the royal courtyard, which looked absolutely spectacular.

Back to the room, there were a few people in the corner. They were musicians ready to perform any music at the king and queen's request.

The king announced, "Please everyone, enjoy yourselves. There's plenty of food and drink and there will be dancing as well. Let's all relax and enjoy."

Rosalind put the tray on the table in front of everyone. She replied, "Yup, please enjoy, everyone."

She sat down in her chair and then waited for Greg to do the same.

Nerine didn't move at all. She only waited for a word from her parents-in-law or husband.

Greg sat down in his chair beside Rosalind and said, "Please, everyone. Help yourself to some juice."

He took two glasses of juice and handed one to Rosalind. "Here you are, honey."

Alex held Nerine's hand and looked into her eyes. "Hey, darling, do you want to dance with me?"

Edward and Eleanor had moved off to talk to some of the other couples but Alex stayed right by Nerine's side.

Rosalind took the glass from Greg and replied, "Thanks, dear."

Rosaline got two glasses for Bryan and herself. She sat down again beside him and handed him his glass, "Here."

Nerine nodded shyly and replied, "I shall be very pleased to, my love."

Patriaclos took two glasses of juice and gave one to Andra. "Here you are, honey."

Bryan took the glass from Rosaline and replied, "Thanks, my love."

Once everyone had a glass of juice, Patriaclos raised his glass and said, "I'd like to propose a toast, for this is such a happy day. First, to Rosaline and Bryan. May you two be happy always together and congratulations on becoming married.

Next to my Rosalind and Greg. May you two have a happy healthy baby and I must say that I'm so happy now to becoming a grandfather soon."

Alex smiled and gently took Nerine's hand, leading her to the dance floor. Once he found a suitable spot, he held Nerine in his arms in a suitable dance position and the musicians began to play a slow romantic waltz.

Rosalind smiled with a blush replying, "Awww thanks a lot, father. I am so glad that I am going to be a mother soon."

Andra added, "It makes me feel old now that I am going to be a grandmother but nevertheless, I love it."

Patriaclos turned to Andra and replied, "Aww honey, you'll never be old in my eyes. You are as beautiful and youthful today as the first day we met."

Andra blushed and replied, "Awww thanks, my love. You are still as handsome and cute as you were when we first met as well."

Patriaclos blushed hearing such words of love from Andra. Then Greg raised his glass and said,

"Thanks, everyone. And again, I want to say congrats to Rosaline and Bryan on their marriage. I have a feeling that you two will be happy for a long time."

Bryan replied, "Thanks, Greg. It's great to know that Rosaline and I have such support from all of you."

Alex led Nerine in the dance, and some of the younger couples were dancing as well. As the two were dancing, the king and queen went off to the side and observed the happy couple. They were whispering to each other in secret, confirming what they thought and believed would be the best decision for the kingdom.

(I know that sounded cryptic but all will be revealed in good time. )

(lol I am dying of curiousness. )

Rosaline replied, "Hmm thanks. But no need for wishes, for I know that Bryan is my love and that I will be happy with him."

Bryan replied, "Yup. Rosaline and I will be so happy together. I can't wait to make my love happy forever, for she deserves happiness."

Patriaclos smiled and replied, "You are a good man, Bryan, and I know that you'll take care of my daughter very well."

The king and queen then went to talk to Edward and Eleanor to ask for their permission regarding some important matters at hand. They were talking in confidence, which made some of the other couples wonder what was going on.

However, Alex continued to dance with Nerine, enjoying their time together. Alex asked,

"Darling, are you having fun?"

Rosalind replied, "I trust that as well, Bryan. Oh, I was wondering. Since you and Rosaline are married now, does that mean that Rosaline won't live here any longer or something?"

Nerine nodded happily and replied, "Yes, my lord. I am having quite fun dancing with my love."

Bryan looked over at Rosaline and replied, "Well, I did assume that my Rosaline and I would be living together now that we're married. For now, since I'll be performing in Lessire, my love and I will stay at the inn since I have a piano there and I need it to practice. And once I perform in other cities, my love will want to travel with me. But do I assume too much?"

He looked over at Rosaline, wondering whether he had assumed too much in that Rosaline would travel with him.

Alex replied, "I am so happy, darling. I am having lots of fun, too. Tell me, how did you like meeting the king and queen?"

Rosaline shook her head and replied, "Nah, my love. I would travel with you to the end of the world especially since I love traveling and I am used to it more than staying in one place."

But Rosalind felt a bit sad that she would part with Rosaline again.

Nerine nodded and replied, "Yes, my lord. They are very nice and kind."

Greg looked over at Rosalind and could feel her sadness. He assumed that Rosalind was sad over the fact that Rosaline would eventually leave. He patted her hand and said,

"Awww, honey, I think we all knew that this was going to happen eventually. And if Rosaline is happy with Bryan, it doesn't matter where they are."

Bryan added, "Yup, that's right. After my tour is over, Rosaline and I will return to Devenshire. But who knows? If I become really famous, I could always buy another house and perhaps I can buy one in Lessire."

Alex replied, "I'm glad that you like them. They are very good rulers and have taken care of the people very well."

The king and queen had finished talking to Edward and Eleanor, so Edward escorted Eleanor to the dance floor and the two began dancing.

Rosalind sighed and replied, "Oh I know but it just saddens me that Rosaline is going to leave again after we have finally become together again."

Rosaline humph-ed and replied, "Man, Rosalind, stop being so a crybaby. We have not been together that long."

Nerine replied, "I see that, my lord. Their city is very beautiful and the people are very kind and welcoming."

Bryan gave an apologetic look to Rosalind. He knew Rosaline meant well although sometimes he felt that she could tone it down on the rudeness a bit. Bryan replied,

"I know it must be sad to be apart but I'll tell you what. I'll give you a copy of my tour schedule so you and Greg can come see us whenever you want. And of course, you're invited to come to Devenshire. Greg told me that you've never been there, right? It's a beautiful town and the people are quite friendly."

Alex replied, "Yup. I wonder how Devenshire compares to Lessire. My darling would know and I'd like to hear her opinion on both cities."
