Alex jumped a bit when he heard Rosalind come back.

"Umm, hey, Rosalind. Is everything all right now?"

(I'll have Alex call her Rosalind even though I know it's not her. XD)

(lol I know.)

Rosaline sat down beside Alex and nodded. "Of course, did you think that something is wrong or what?" She grinned her eyes a bit.

"Well, you didn't look so well earlier. I was worried about you." Alex kissed Rosalind on the cheek, ignoring the look in her eyes.

Rosaline grinned. "Well, you don't have to worry about me-..."


...worry about the poor Rosalind who is stuck now.

"Oh ok. How about that boat ride then?"

Alex looked over at Nerine as he said that, not knowing if she still wanted to go with them after what had happened between them just a moment ago.

Rosaline didn't like the idea, she wanted to be with alone with Alex.

"Ah, no. I don't want to go there anymore."

Nerine looked a bit confused at Rosaline.

"Why not? A while ago, you were ok with the idea. It beat trying to go back and swim anyway." Alex was confused as well, wondering if she was afraid of the water in general now.

Rosaline didn't know how to respond for a while, but then she said,

"I just don't have a mood for that anymore." Rosaline's face was now turning a bit evil.

"Umm, ok." But Alex couldn't escape that something changed in Rosalind but he couldn't figure out what exactly. He wondered if Nerine had picked up on this.

"Umm, Rosalind, would it be all right if I talked to Nerine alone for a while?"

Rosaline nodded slowly. "Oh, why, of course."

Nerine stood up and walked with Alex to where they could talk alone.

"What's the matter?"

Alex checked to make sure that Rosalind couldn't hear the two of them.

"Well, maybe it's just me but I felt something strange with Rosalind. She's not her usual self. It's like something dark has taken over her. I wondered if I was the only one who felt that or if you had that feeling, too."

Nerine nodded to Alex. "Yeah, I felt that too. She is a bit too dark." Then, she looked at Rosaline and then at Alex. "Maybe you should talk to her alone and ask her what's wrong."

Alex nodded. "All right. I'll talk to her and see if anything is the matter."

Alex walked back to where Rosalind was and sat next to her. "Umm, I know you said everything was all right but are you sure? We're alone now so if anything is the matter, you can always tell me." He kissed her for a moment on the lips.

Rosaline broke off the kiss disgustingly but did her best to not to show it.

"I am alright, perfectly fine. Unlike her."

Alex still felt that something was off and something felt wrong when they kissed just now.

"What do you mean 'unlike her'?"

Rosaline grinned. "Oh, nothing. Nothing at all."

Alex raised an eyebrow, thinking to herself,

Now there most likely is a feeling that something is wrong.

He wanted to know if something was wrong, if this was indeed his Rosalind. He came up with an idea.

I hate to do this, to use my power, but it's the only way to find out for sure if everything is all right.

Suddenly, Alex approached Rosalind and kissed her again. This time, the kiss lasted longer and afterwards, he broke it off.

There. That kiss should work. It should have the effect of forcing Rosalind to tell the truth.

"Ahem. So is everything ok? Are you sure?"

(You really think it's going to work?)

"Of course everything is alright."

I am not as weak as Rosalind, you fool.

(Well, I was hoping. He does have that power, after all.)

"Ok. Umm, what do you want to do for the rest of the day then? You don't want to go for a boat ride and I'm pretty sure swimming is out of the question."

(He does, but it Rosaline was watching Rosalind and Alex and she saw everything and- oh wait, I am giving spoilers now.)

"Well, I wanted to go back home, there is a surprise there for you."

Not a very good one for you, my dear.

"Oh a surprise? I wonder what that could be. Let me go tell Nerine of the plan and the three of us can go back home together."

Alex got up and walked back to where Nerine was.

Whispering, he said,

"I'm still not sure if Rosalind is all right. I used my power on her and she said she was ok but something still feels off. Anyway, she wanted to go home. Do you want to come with us?"

Nerine nodded a no. "I am sorry, I can't. I have to go and check up my mother now."

"All right. Well, we can talk later then." Alex hugged Nerine and then ran back to Rosalind.

"I talked to Nerine. She has to go home and take care of her mother so I guess it's just the two of us going home." Alex smiled at Rosalind.

(He hugged her? O_O)

Nerine blushed deeply as Alex hugged her but then got her bag and walked to the ladies room to change.

Rosalind nodded to Alex. "Oh, that's great. I'd like to be alone with you." She grinned a deep grin on that.

(The hug was a friend hug. )

Alex still felt that something was wrong with Rosalind but would keep an eye out.

"Ok. We should change back into our usual clothes and then we can walk home together."

Alex went into the men's room to change back into his usual clothes.
